I used to be a liberal then I discovered just how infantile liberalism is and how it will lead to conditions here in the US that are prevalent in the third world. NPR is part of the problem. @LordAtrocities not knowing your line of work, after years living in a 3rd world country where taxes were very low, govt was minimal and broke and corrupt (govt's don't have to be poor to be corrupt, but it surely contributes), i can say that it's not your desire but it's where you end up, when you wish for minimal govt intervention. there is a balance, but the US can't find it. soviet russia failed. pure capitalism is failing... the majority of people.
