@Vegheadsrock -- Actually original Osmond Brothers act was Alan, Wayne, Jay and Merrill. Donny didn't join the act til the late 60s or early 70s.

In reading the Lennon Sisters' autobiography recently, I discovered that Lawrence Welk had a chance to "discover" the Osmond Brothers, as he had the girls; but he passed on them. They went on to launch their career by singing on Andy Williams' TV shows.

as last week's newspaper. The Lennons didn't need to

Well, I'm 59 and when I was your age the Osmond Brothers use to appear on a show called the Andy Williams Show. As their family grew they added to their group until Marie was born. I think she is the baby and only girl in the family.

@valerie3571 The Lennon Sisters got their start on The Lawrence Welk Show in 1955, on a Christmas special. Lawrence Welk was a bandleader from the 30s to the 80s. His show is on public television, and has been for at least 10 years or more.
