Aw... I'm sorry... I had to go through something similar when we had to put the 1st dog my family raised to sleep a couple years ago... What made it seem worse was that she was only 9, but it still kinda aches a little. It does get better though.
@KyrieLeisonM I know it'll never truly go away, it'll just become a dull ache that acts up every now and again. Like rheumatism. The worst part is I didn't get a say in the matter of weather or not to put her to sleep, and that's what hurts the most.
