New GSG-522 from ATI - American Tactical Imports

KICK ASS!!! ive had my eye on this gun for a while now. i found them on the American Tactical Imports website for 344.95 When I get the funds I'm going to get me a couple of em. Plus with that 110 round drum that was featured at the SHOT show. You can never be too carefull =)

Just got my hands on the Classic GSG-5, (new, although sitting on a shelf since I first saw it two years ago)... so worth it over the "HK" Umarex MP5-22. It's been, what? 20 years since the HK-94? And now they suddenly care that there is civilian market demand? Thug tactics over a 40+ year old look that was virtually non-existant as a trade mark in this particular market sector.

Just bought my 522, I love it, put a red/green dot on it, can't wait to go shoot! I just blew through 500 rds in my Rock River, stupid me, now how much is that going to cost to replace those rounds???? Enter the GSG522!!! I can blow through tons of ammo, and it's still less expensive to plink!!!! WEEEHAAA!

I bought the original (which was not on the market for long) before HK decided to sue German Sporting Guns... Love it!!!

It looks as if you can purchase the GSG5 Cosmetic kits for the GSG522. So you can change the look of the 522 back to the GSG5's HK style. Or Pre Sued GSG5. How did HK miss that?

Why is she claiming that ATI have made all these changes and giving the impression that ATI are more than just the US importer? As I understood it, these rifles are designed and made by German Sports Guns in Germany. "we have slotted the rear sight" erm... no you didn't, GSG did and now your selling the updated version for them in the US.

@Bashers79 they have to be 922r complant if imported into the US? im going to buy an ati hk94p and i need at least 6 us made parts to be 922r compliant.

@azntactical I use to be the proud owner of an all American Harley Sportster, I replaced and customised more than 9 pieces with official Harley parts all made in Japan, did that make my Harley Japanese? You'll find the parts changed to make it 922r compliant are the same parts found in a European version, only made in the states under licence. The changes claimed by ATI are for legal reasons and come from GSG not ATI.

hk has their own 22s like this now. they are made by some other company but i think the first gen gsgs look the best. i'm not selling mine that's for sure. and they got rid of the front ring sight! that was the best part about that gun!

this video just made my day. i e-mail ati customer service last week and never heard back from them. basicly i fell on a hardship and sold my gsg5. when i got the $ for a new 1 i came to find there no longer 4 sale. i asked was there anything similar CUZ I WANT 1 :) i loooved my gsg5 i only got 2 take it out 1 time it was flwless and shot tight groups.. please hit me back let me know when this bad boy is gonna be around the gun stores . and whatsa fair market price. if you happen 2 know. thanks

Yes H&K sued them and they are no longer allowed to make this model ..... As well as the Fake Supressor on the end is being recalled by the BATFE and requiring that the barrels be replaced

No. They ended up settling out of court. Cosmetic changes were made to the gun to comply with the terms of the settlement.

I found that right from the GSG website. So by making the changes to the internals; ATi should be allowed to continue to import them and for GSG to manufacture them.
