The other religion he mentioned several times was Mormonism. He made a statement that blew me out of the water. There are two religions that claim the Bible has been corrupted. Muslim and Mormonism. I just joined the mormon church a few weeks ago. There is many things in the bible teaching against mormon doctrine. It says no ones can become a god but thats a core mormon belief u dont find out untill after you become mormon (Doctrine and covenants section 132), the Bible says not to add another gospel or they will be accursed, and a false prophet will say things that wont come true and Joseph Smith said when they would build Zion and he would bless it. That never happened.
And among numerous other despicable doctrines of devilment/blatant blundering of blasphemy is that God in a preexistence was a mere mortal man like us who had to work long enough & hard enough to become big enough & good enough to finally qualify/earn being God. Thank you for your comments.

Your presentation is beautifully done. Being LDS all my life and having served my Mission in Anaheim, CA, I remember what Calvary Chapel teaches about "mormonism". It astounded me. I began to read their books and literature. I saw how many people erroneously put Joseph ahead of the Lord in some ways. Hi Defender, your post piqued my curiosity about Christianity "prohibiting" belief in extraterrestrial life. AFAIK, there's no such prohibition: the Bible doesn't really address it, and we shouldn't "shout" where the Bible's silent. Honestly, I don't know if there's life elsewhere in the universe (if so, we haven't found it), but I believe that if there *is* life, they're 1. human like us, and 2. accountable to God just like we are. The God of the Bible is the God of the universe (Psalm 19:1).
@LDSfaithDefender Don't know if you'll see this (Shulamitefire has to approve it), but my take on Psalm 19:1 is such: everyone wants a "sign," something to *look at*. One *something* (not the only) God gives us is outer space: the universe, the galaxies, the vast expanse of it all. Basically a "look at how powerful I AM." Psalm 19:1 is an affirmation of Job 38. And anyone who refuses to believe He did it has made up their mind and doesn't want facts to get in the way (Psalm 14:1).

Hi Defender, your post piqued my curiosity about Christianity "prohibiting" belief in extraterrestrial life. AFAIK, there's no such prohibition: the Bible doesn't really address it, and we shouldn't "shout" where the Bible's silent. Honestly, I don't know if there's life elsewhere in the universe (if so, we haven't found it), but I believe that if there *is* life, they're 1. human like us, and 2. accountable to God just like we are. The God of the Bible is the God of the universe (Psalm 19:1).

@LDSfaithDefender Don't know if you'll see this (Shulamitefire has to approve it), but my take on Psalm 19:1 is such: everyone wants a "sign," something to *look at*. One *something* (not the only) God gives us is outer space: the universe, the galaxies, the vast expanse of it all. Basically a "look at how powerful I AM." Psalm 19:1 is an affirmation of Job 38. And anyone who refuses to believe He did it has made up their mind and doesn't want facts to get in the way (Psalm 14:1).

@LDSfaithDefender I video taped a UFO in Utah in 1987. They aren't gods. They may well have tails. And no doubt tales. But technology is never an indicator of morality. Where does it say Christians shall not believe "aliens" are real? I sure as hell wouldn't worship one. And if they contradict Christianity they can go to hell. Mormonism is full of contradictory statements concerning established 2000yrs of sound theology.

@LDSfaithDefender Read the Book of Abraham, then go talk to an Egyptologist about what the real translation of the papyri is. It's not even close to what Joseph Smith claimed. You're falling for a con game. Don't take my word for it, though. If you value your soul or care about the truth, look into this yourself--the evidence is all there.

Jesus wasn't a real person, Joseph Smith was a charismatic cultist, and God is *probably* not there. Life's so much simpler when you eliminate unnecessary belief.

I almost didn't finish viewing the video; the music is so sad and forlorn.
I feel sorry for the original creator (of this video). I, too, am well-aware that Joseph Smith is "elevated" to a place of "reverence". This is just not right!
When people talk about a "cult", they are referring to the "cult of personalities"--
That this religion is more about the "Who's Who" than it is about ideas and doctrine is borne out, in the vid, by that SundaySchool class "casting their vote for Smith".

The leaders alive today conceal and lie. Just ask any ex missionary that has found the truth.
I can help. When a person has been told they have the only true church and then abruptly find out that much of the history and doctrines are lies, they either become athiest or angry.
As for you, you can stick your head in the lds apologists sandpit or accept the truth.

Even the creatorship of Christ, the supernality & eternality of the Father & the authority of the Holy Ghost is assailed daily by their door to door doctrines of demons & commandments of men. @Shulamitefire Mormonism denying "the creatorship of Christ"? The Book of Mormon says, "I am Jesus Christ the Son of God. I have created the heavens and the earth, and all things that in them are. I was with the Father from the beginning." (3 Nephi 9:15) The more you "lie" about Mormonism, the more I can see what the true nature of anti-Mormonism is.

Such is a minimalist view of the glory of the one, true Jesus & the withholding of giving the glory so very extravagantly due Him. If LDS do not get that right, how then can they be truthfully regarded as the one true church?

@Shulamitefire No, Mormons don't worship Jesus: they pray to the Father in the name of the Son. The prayers always start with "Our heavenly Father" or "Our Father in heaven", and end with "in the name of (thy Son) Jesus Christ. Amen"

Two dead people leaving a legacy of lies are Joseph Smith & Brigham Young. That they consistently chose not to endure sound doctrine & wholesome living is evident by their twistology of theology, sedition of addition, & carnal appetite. Time spent in the BoM would be much better spent in the 66 Books of the Bible. BoM is a watered down "bible" with enormous credibility issues as to historicity. It is blatantly racist. It is a bait book, a book to bastardize Bible belief, & lead to D&C & PoGP, where by far most of Mormon doctrine that separates the LDS church from Christianity is written.

You can be set free from your having been given over to a strong spirit of delusion, but you must be willing. Jesus wants you to be valiant in Truth & a Truth teller. Mormon stories, although nice sounding to some, certainly can never satisfactorily substitute for sound doctrine, especially as pertains to Who God Is.

Certainly, Jesus is not the brother of Satan. The Spirit of Christ is uncreated; Lucifer's spirit is created. It is Mormon madness in the Monson movement of Moroni.
They are given over to a spirit of strong delusion that they should believe such blasphemous blundering. Smith's Follet discourse is a horror & a wreck. After I read the bofm the second time I could see the camp revival and the waring neighbors of the early 19th century. Joseph really nailed it when he called a war between the states. "DUH"
