  • Was this in Seattle? I'm seeing this show tomorrow at the 5th Ave theater and I LOVE Annaleigh and I wish I could've seen this. Does anyone know if this was at the 5th and when was it and if it was for press only?

  • @rowelle

It is for everyone and it was in Jan, I think.

  • @wickedLAcastlover Thanks for replying. Yeah, just found out it was in January and it was FREE! I wish I had known because I love the musical and Annaleigh :)

  • @rowelle these spotlight Night shows are free. you could of gone to this for free anybody can go

  • @a0997650 Yeah, just found out. I'm totally bummed. Did you go?

  • I think she is a lot better than LBB. I hope she can be Elle perminitely so that she can work on the character.

  • i think her signing was great

but she was too nervous about not remembering the song that it kinda messed up her acting..

  • I am dissapointed. Don't get me wrong; Annaleigh is AWESOME, but this performance stunk. She was fine in the beginning but in Elle's excitement, her voice sounded a little harsh. Like Elle's this perfect and innocent unaware little girl, but I didn't see that is this video. Miss Woods is Miss Energetic...I mean don't just stand there! Also, Annaleigh looked awkward. Listen here, I love her and I think she COULD have pulled it off. But she didn't.

  • She has the energy and comedic timing too so it was a shame. I mean, HELLO, Galinda and Margot! She just didn't bring it on like I expected her too.

Ofcourse, I have no issues with the beauty of her voice.

  • I think she just lacked confidence and it hampered her performance. It's been a few years since she's done this role and she's clearly forgotten some of the song, but when she was actually in the show she was great.

  • I sorta agree with you, but I see your point. But you have to remember, she only played Elle once. She she def. wont give the same performance Laura Bell Bundy or Becky Gulsvig would. But, I understand what you mean...

  • love love love her! :D

  • She just gets better and better!!! BTW, LOVE the outfit!!!

  • wow she really held that last note cleanly. moreso than anyone else ive heard before...mad props.

  • Is Annaleigh going to be in the show?!?! I hope she is.

  • it says on her offical fan site that it was confirmed that she was only hired to do this event/promotion and will not be apart of the seattle cast.

But my view is, they hired her for a reason :) but i guess thats only me hoping because i would love to see annaleighs amazingly awesomeness proform as Elle

  • @caitlinsmity

They should of hired her for the workshop.

  • I can't wait to see this! Seeing it twice in two days, plus the workshop. Thanks for posting this video! ^^

  • Wow, she is so beautiful and so wonderfully expressive! I love her facial expressions, when she's sad it looks like its gonna rain, but when she brightens up its like the sun's coming out. And its kinda weird to hear her not speaking all squeay like when she plays Glinda, but it is nice to hear her normal voice, its very pretty. :) :D

  • Is she going to be playing Elle here in Seattle or was she just here for the spotlight?

  • hahaah i like how she messed up the words and there was this one awkward laugh in the backround! but she is still just as amazing! no ones purfect! :)

  • this musical was fun, but not worth sixty bucks

  • Oh how I adore Annaleigh!!!!! :)
