Ford has been doing OHC for quite a while. The 4.6L in the Mustang (and a bunch of other rides) can be a SOHC or DOHC. The 5.4L is the same, as is the 6.2L.

Soon as the crank starts spinning, a heavy crank will have enough inertia to just continue spinning and propel what ever its drivetrain is hooked up to with ease, requiring less throttle which improves gas mileage with a world of reasoning. V8 cranks are heavy. You would expect alot of v8s to get good gas mileage. But though this is true, it is still a v8. 8 cylinders. you know?
when it comes down to reliability, and power those japs are putting out more power per liter than anyone else...2L putting out 200 hp naturaly aspirated. thats 100hp per liter i dont think our engines are quite there yet...extreme examples like vettes are bogus...lets talk run of the mill avg engine

I dont like the rear. The front looks better than the '09. And big wow, 315 hp. 15 more than the older models. So that makes it probably 285 hp at the wheels in which for an American V8 is SLOW. Take the '06 GTO instead, you get 400hp and 400tq for about $10,000 less for a used one.
I can see a very slight resemblance in the body lines but for the most part I'd say each car has a look all its own. Both cars are still amazing...But i would take the stang because I'm a Mustang fan. Is it possible to successfully market a Ford Mustang almost the same as they did in the late 1960's. So, you are basically buying a brand new, stock Ford Mustang? Better yet - Dodge Charger. They would only make the changes that are absolutely necessary.

I am a Chevrolet Person all the way and there is NO car I hate more than Fords and especially-MUSTANGS! Hate to hurt bad you stang fans- but MoterTrend has already compared the New Camaro, Mustang, and Challenger and Camaro came out on top-no surprised to me what so ever. I tell ya-if you came down my way-I run you ass down in a SS 426HP and take you to school son! I am a girl who loves to drive fast, always does, and ain't afraid of you or you sorry stang!

I totally agree! On the Chevy p;age where you can choose your options-I chose the Black with White Stripes and Black Rims. it llooked so smokin! It was my first choice. The Blue is good looking and even the yellow -even thought I have never been an yellow fan, but nothing beats the black with black rims!!!

I dont like the rear. The front looks better than the '09. And big wow, 315 hp. 15 more than the older models. So that makes it probably 285 hp at the wheels in which for an American V8 is SLOW. Take the '06 GTO instead, you get 400hp and 400tq for about $10,000 less for a used one.

I can see a very slight resemblance in the body lines but for the most part I'd say each car has a look all its own. Both cars are still amazing...But i would take the stang because I'm a Mustang fan. Nothing against the Camaro tho....its a great looking ride and from what i have heard its more affordable than the Mustang.

Much as I hate to admit it all the tests show the Mustang with the trak pak option is better in the twisties than the Camaro SS.
I will still go with the Camaro though.

Think of this: Ford's 2010 Mustang is another showing of what they are capable of. A better interior, seemingly improved build quality and new technology.
Not only that, the 2010 Taurus is another step in the right direction for the brand.

It was unscripted? Oh man, how do guys like these get jobs in anything near the auto industry. Common sense would dictate that just by looking at the car the two cars are different platforms. Unless he was being really facitious and hoping to get a response like this. I mean from a very technical stand point the G and F bodies shared many parts but not enough for a legitimate badge engineer. As I write this he put comment box in the video recognizing he screwed up. HA!!

I would prefer the cloth seats but unfortunately the only way to get the gauges on the console is with the leather seats. So I guess I will either have to settle for the leather seats or buy the gauge console at the dealer. I suspect the wiring is there from the factory.
