Since when do americans know anything about other cultures? To them, the world is set as USA, Canada, South America, Europe, Africa, Asia and Australia. The individual countries, cultures and histories don't exist. Just to think that they still think and claim that Portugal is a region that belongs to Spain where they eat sardines is ridiculous enough.

Still, the Survivor theme musics are beautiful and I think they share an amazing part, even if it escapes from the actual culture shown.

@Raiigen Not all Americans are the stereotypes you know. I know lots about different cultures, including myths, histories and what certain cultures are like and I'm from Southern California.

I'm Choctaw and know about the Choctaw history and culture, I'm also Japanese, Irish and British. I love Irish music and also know about the ancient history. Just saying, don't judge all Americans as stupid. It's our government and congress that's corrupt as well as entertainment. Not all of us.

@TechouNoKokoro It's also stereotypical to believe that when someone says "Americans", "Europeans", "Asians", they mean everyone, including their grandmas. When saying that, people mean the general thing. Of course there are always exceptions to the rules, which is good. I'm European and sometimes say "Europeans are idiots". In that case, I'm calling myself an idiot. Uhm, hello?

You weren't really clarifying after all in your comment so I thought just incase, I would tell you. After all, not everyone thinks the same. Some may not know that you meant general, ya know?

@TechouNoKokoro Not long ago, someone did feel attacked, reason why I'm saying that. But it's usually common knowledge that it's never the whole package when someone says americans, russians, chinese, but rather the general part. I mean, some of my best friends are americans, I would be offending them as well, don't you think?

On a sidenote, it's cool that you like culture and such, traditions need to be protected :)

@leonelmynor Eu te entendo. Sou Brasileiro e quando fizeram o Survivor The Amazon, o tema não tinha nada a ver com o Brasil ou a Amazônia em si. Eu vivo na Amazônia e sei do que falo.

@sunlightson pienso que estos programas son una farsa, al final no transmiten al resto del mundo la escencia de las culturas. ademas que solo son personas de estados unidos las que concursan y el lugar en que se entrega el premio es Estados Unidos cuando el premio deberia ser entregado en el pais que visitan. SURVIVOR ES UNA PORQUERIA.
