  • camera is just a tool

  • Superb. Did you get vignetting with that lens set up. Care to share how you made the adapter in more detail. Thanks for sharing this video.

  • nice scenes..good idea with Nokia N8 and a lot of accessories and budget!!

first time when i've heard about this movies..

i saw you have a Nokia in your hand and run around to shoot all scene..hahaha..

    btw..it's a nice movies :)

  • I'm not sure about this... I don't want to be rude with you guys, but saying that this is a feature film shot enterely with a cellphone is pretty much of a lie, since those lenses improve the "camera" performance beyond that of a cellphone. I mean, it's like saying that you're gonna make a song enterely by whistling, but you have a full orchesta to support you.

  • @Benishe BAZINGA!

  • I wanted to post this for my students to be inspired in making films using a mere celphone. But look at hose accessories! Who are you fooling?

  • Nice to see a Ural sidecar being used in the movie.

  • Marketing with "A feature film shot on a phone!!" gets a lot more attention, yeah.

And then feels like they didn't have the confidence in selling the story, they talk about the value of content, but a gimmick is a gimmick, and they made things difficult for themselves with results that aren't as wonderful as they could be. But honestly speaking, it would feel like "another indie short film" if shot on anything else, so there's no need to bash the guys for what so far looks like a great story.

  • Yet more proof the Nokia N8 is the World's best ever Camera phone!

  • I don't know. Essentially you're using the phone as a sensor which seems counterintuitive as it's a lousy sensor. It's like if i ripped the sensor out of a D90 and chucked it in a RED body, i mean sure you can do it... but it's not really that much cheaper or anything, and it's gonna look kinda shit. I don't really get the theory behind this film.

  • Very good idea...;-) Excluding budget...;-(

  • Cep telefonuyla çektik diyorsunuz ama kullandığınız teknolojiye bak!

    Işıklandırmalar, lensler bilmem ne.

  • It's all about the glass. Not just the media recording device. I don't think most folks would be willing to have the funds for the lens, focus wheel or matte box that these guys used. It would have been better if it was shot with the native optics at minimum. I can understand audio would be difficult to handle (especially in winds conditions). Nice job on the steady cam mods!

  • looks amazing....

  • Battery: 0.00001

  • So I think it is fantastic that these artists used a simple device to make beautiful moving pictures. I can hardly wait to see the whole thing. Good on these guys for setting a goal using a simple platform and KNOCKING IT OUT OF THE PARK. I love stories like this. Can you find issues with using expensive follow-focus rigs, booms, cranes and remote control helicopters? Sure, but ultimately the platform was a simple smartphone. And that is cool. Inspirational, actually.

  • It inspires people to know that you don't HAVE to have thousands of dollars worth of kit to make art come alive. One of my heroes in the field, Chase Jarvis, says that the best camera is the one you have with you and use. Truer words have not been spoken.

  • It is not about the equipment much at all. It is the eye that sets up the shots and pulls the release. I have seen photographers with simple cameras who are insanely talented artists. And I have seen photographers with the best of equipment who couldn't shoot a photo of a white wall. (More difficult than you would think.)

  • As a part-time professional photographer for over 15 years, I have been asked many times "That photo is cool. What type of camera/lens did you use to shoot that photo?". My response has always been: "You don't ask a baker what kind of oven he used to bake delicious cake, do you?" The answer is always no, a tasty sweet is a tasty treat and what was used to bake it is insignificant.

  • @theothertoolbox I love and respect good photographers but I disagree. If you compare photography to baking in that way then the photographer is the baker and the camera is the RECIPE. The camera has a major effect on the final photograph. To ask in what oven the cake was baked is like asking where the film was developed.

  • love the behind the scenes, so cool!

  • Shot on a cell phone? Why? And how does it qualify as a cell phone with that special lens setup?

Also why is this only 420p? Didn't you shoot in HD?

  • @AndrewMcLovin It's fucking behind the scenes dude, even the profesional cameras have special lens.
