Secondly, he had ammunition to use against that unqualified fraud and "felt he was above using it" against his Emminence. Thirdly, there has NEVER been an election where the media completely (and embarrassingly) FAILED to do its job. Obama was not vetted, asked serious questions, was allowed to make ridiculous claims with no follow up or scrutiny. A JOKE!

@88mphsss Exit polling. An allowance is made for Democratic votes, since Democrats usually vote early. So if the Democratic candidate overcomes the allowance, it means he will win the state. The networks know who won many states before the polls in those states close, but won't release that until the polls close in those particular states.

Call me stupid, but it seems a bit strange when they're like "We've counted 7 ballots, there's still however many million uncounted ballots and 12,000 absentee ballots." How the hell do they know how many there are before they counted 'em. And if they were gonna count, why don't they figure out the votes too. And I seriously think when a candidate is down they go "Oh we found some absentee ballots in the trunk of someone's car." Happened in MN.

The early votes were likely coming from Democratic precincts. GOP precincts outnumber Democratic precincts there, so it is easy to see why Obama lost his lead there. I don't even think Obama campaigned in Louisiana any.

Notice how in the corner it says "0% in". There wasn't even 1% of the vote counted by that time. That could just be one precinct in heavily Democratic New Orleans or something.

@evansville70 This is not the "norm" either. It did occur in '94 when the GOP had huge victories across the country to take BOTH houses of Congress after being soundly beaten in '92. The GOP did win Presidency, Senate & House in '04 & lost Congress in '06. Still, '10 was a bad omen for Obama. He has failed (unlike Clinton in '96) to improve the economy & has dramatically increased the debt. We were already in recovery at this point in '95; that fraud Obama is in big trouble! Good for US though!

They counted all the rural areas first, most likely. If McCain could not or barely handle the rural areas, then how could he win the urban areas? Unsurprisingly, he lost Michigan by a 15-20 point margin, greater than the 2% margin of 51-49.

Obama was ahead in michigan when the vote first came ,but mccain took a double digit lead ,but McCain lost he's lead with just 12% of the precincts counted. By the way Obama won Michigan by 16 point magin in the end.
