  • @ZEROPERSENT first of all, a planet doesn't need an atmosphere for there to be sound. whoever told you that is an idiot. second. they are technically not sounds, but elecrtomagnetic vibrations.

  • neptune has no atmosphere so how is there sound

  • are you stupid? planets don't give off radio waves!!!

  • this sound is fake

because there is no air in space

no air = no sound waves =

sound moving in air .. without air .. it will not moving

sorry for my bad Language >> i'm arabian boy guy

fake ... guys like this to know is fake

  • @10gamertag me too AHAHAHHAHHAHA

  • I love outer space, especially the sounds/radio waves the planets each make, pretty fascinating.

  • that is the sound of emptiness to me, like a void or something

  • I Love Neptune (: , But I Thought Space Didn't Have Any Sounds .

  • Neptun er den sidste planet i vores solsystem.

  • But space doesnt even have sound?

  • @joelypop53 its called radio waves

  • @nashbored1231 Well thats stupid

  • @joelypop53 radio waves convert and reconvert until nasa or other sattelites pick them up and transmitt the reconfigured sound back to earth in a way so our ears frequency can hear it.

  • sounds kind of like the phantom zone arrival at the start of superman the movie!

  • Oh shit! this is real fuck the fact that sound cannot travel without a medium it can ebcause sound is made out of 95 percent jesus. and no fake shit goes on so this is real! ( despite the fact human or anything from earth never got some what possibly relitavely close at all to the clear sight of even bare human eye sight of this planet nor have they launched a sateallite that will ever come close to there before we exist as dust and the human race and possibly earth has witherd away) REAL SHIT!!

  • @TheFryingpanofdoom

.....actually voyager 2 passed Neptune in 1989!

  • Did they simply picked up its electromagnetic waves and converted it into sound or did they actually sent a probe there to record it?

  • There isn't any sound in space.

  • DOES THE SOUND HAS RELATIONSHIP WITH GRAVITATIONAL FORCE OF ATTRACTION?

  • Sounds a little like ocean waves. Which is weird because Neptune is like the king of the sea

  • @lavabone

That is where our ancestors got it wrong. Neptune is a gas giant.

  • sounds windy

  • planets are scary!

  • R.I.P. Pluto, he will fore be in our hearts :'[

  • my astrophobia gone mad !

  • Do they know why Neptune sounds like this? I am sure there is a scientific reason

  • @flyseventeenthirtytw Neptune is covered with layers of clouds. When Voyager 2 visited Neptune, they saw that Neptune has a series of storms. There is the Great Dark Spot, Scooter, and Dark Spot 2. Those are all similar to the Great Red Spot on Jupiter. But a few years later the Great Dark Spot disappeared! This happened because it is so far from the sun. Scientist believe that Neptune's hot core is responsible for all the winds, storms, and weather changes.

  • @nashbored1231 No, it's because of Flying Polyps.

  • @flyseventeenthirtytw its an ocean planet

  • sounds like a freky ocean vote up

  • I guess everyone lives in airplanes over there.

  • DAMN Neptune you scary!!!

  • i thought something will pop up again..like other vids.. ;)

  • "Guys, open the window, I wanna hear what it sounds like in outer space!" -Me (when i get smart enough to join nasa)

  • @BLinDaTbESt dumbass...what you talking about?

  • i thought there is no sound in space

  • @83hickey hmm..actually, this is the sounds of its magnetic field...spooky eh? every planet has their own magnetic sound...btw, why did you think that there's no sound in space????? there are many explosions that happens almost every months and the explosions are fkin huge that can destroys our solar system if we're near them.. CREEPY

  • @ParkourSyah Well if u hear an explosion in space u can hear it because space is a vacuum. As u stated, the electromagnetic waves from the planet's magnetic field were caught by the voyager and turn into audible sound in the range in which humans can hear. Technology's pretty amazing isn't it?

  • sounds like the mother ship is landing

  • Sounds like a EF-100 tornado, well it maks sences because neptune has really fast winds

  • @truthseeker0183 How was my post uncalled for? Get your panties out of a wad you tightass. I can make a post that is uncalled for. You should have just left mine alone and avoided this altogether.

  • I Can't live without the dark spot! It was like the symbol of Neptune for me!

  • @truthseeker0183 I'm sorry, but radio waves do not go on forever throughout space. They eventually dissipate. Also, my post was mature and respectful, because I wasn't blasting anyone or using profanity, like most people. You need to know what you are talking about before you try to argue with someone.

  • maybe aliens in uranus and neptune. who knows? we have bacterias in volcanoes. maybe we have some alive things in neptune.

  • Neptune is windy, and this sounds windy. I say it's real.

  • any kind of information can be converted into sound. all sound... can be converted to information.

  • @nashbored1231 Unless you're talking gamma waves, UV waves, and x-rays, this isn't technically radiation either.

  • well that is real

  • extremly nice sunds,life, darknes, so strange¡

  • i'm so glad space sounds just like what hollywood and the bbc thought it would back in the 70's

  • I swear I thought I heard Darth Vader right around 0:21. Neptune, the planet of magic and dreams. Neptune is one of my favorite planets because it looks like a water planet, very beautiful color. Too bad we'll never be able to live on it.

  • Damn Neptune you scary

  • I thought neptune SINGS!!!D:< tht recked mah day!

  • This is actually the Tardis taking off.

  • the official sound of fart from a long distance

  • Cool and creepy! Sounds like something youd hear from lost in space.

  • sounds somewhat like a jet engine

  • the great dark spot looks like an eye

  • i hear planes XD so friekin fake

  • neptune the planet tht chuck norris spit's on

  • It sort of sounds like an airplane passing overhead.

  • this is a LIE

  • Stop saying it is radio waves. It does not have to be exclusively radio waves. Any form of energy can be converted to sound. Use the term radiation instead of radio waves. It is more proper and correct, even if this actually is radio waves that were converted here.

  • @BLinDaTbESt Nasa only releases "The Sounds of the Planets" from collected radio waves. Of course they have different experiments for Radiation of all types given by the planet. But in the public case. Radio Waves if the more proper and correct term. Since Radio Waves is the only public release.

  • Sounds like a plane flew by :)

  • @nashbored1231 so this sound is wind from this planet?

  • @floridaman2000

No, it is the sound of the radiation that the planet is emitting. Pretty much any form of energy can be converted to sound, since all energy is in wave form.

  • also mostly where i say would i mean wouldn't

  • @nashbored1231 Please do!

  • @nashbored1231 jupiter has the strongest winds of all the planets

  • @moolikin Strongest perhaps, but as I recall Neptunes winds travel at greater than supersonic speeds! Not even Jupiter's winds can accomplish that!

  • how would we know its full of water? what if the land is Blue?

  • @TheGarcia350 its atmosphere consist of 3 gasses mostly hydrogen and helium but 3% of its atmosphere consists of methane which gives the planet its blue look then theres some ;liquid we dont know if its water but it is a liquid you would be able to see the ground ''blue'' because its core is beneath the water saying it has no ground to stand on now decrypt this info through your brain. have fun!

  • @armandux1productions I'll disagree on that statement, I'll stay with believing more since we know nothing about all of the planets in the outer ring of the asteroids, yet. we only know that they are there. Besides, there's no such thing as "No Such Thing". possibilities at the moment can be hundreds of theories and ideas. im not the skeptical type. I'd prefer to believe harder than "Facts" given to one and rumored to the next. Have fun with spreading your "Facts" obviously told by NASA.

  • @TheGarcia350 we do know (well they know) how would they know if they havent even anlyzed it because they have they would be making facts if they didnt know if they were true also your statement that we know nothing about the planets of the outer ring hello we do know that thye are GAS giants meaning that planet mostly consists of GASSES meaning that if there was ground we wouldnt be able to see it because the dense atmosphere is too much to see through therefore it would be IMPOSSIBLE to see

  • @TheGarcia350 ~continuing the blue ground and heres some more proof that you think might be fake but i say give it a try solarviews(dot)com/eng/neptune.htm

  • @armandux1productions you didn't get it....basically im saying no one has the same thought. everyone has a different answer and opinion.

  • @TheGarcia350 oh then sorry i threw the thruth at your face there XD but in the end it doesnt even matter.....no just kidding but in the end there is 1 answer not saying im syaing the thruth but im saying whats considered the ''thruth'' at the time

  • its the soundtrack to forbidden planet, how did they know.

  • how are sounds captured from this planet with out being on the surface of neptune?

  • @floridaman2000 the sounds are not captured the radio waves are then they are changed to a hearable sound

  • @nashbored1231 But Neptune is pretty!

  • 1st 4 planets are Rock Planets - Mercury,Venus,Earth and Mars

2nd 4 Planets are Gas Planets ( That why they are bigger than the 1st 4 rock planets ) - Jupiter,Saturn,Uranus and Neptune ( And fuck off Pluto, you small piece of shitty ball ). Learn Space Science,Dudes =)

  • @Biobliter Astronomy.

  • breathing, speaking... singing.

  • lawl what makes u think neptune is fuckign gas planet?

  • I thought it was Jupiter who had the most powerful winds...

    I guess I was wrong?

  • Comment removed

  • @contropropongono LOL like this video even proved that it wasnt after all.

  • spooky, epic, mysterious, lonely, powerful....these are the words that come to me when i hear this.

  • That sound makes sense

  • I wonder if you ever went to neptune what direction you would blow away in

  • je to opravdu nádhera

  • THis is a very peceful sound to me. I think neptune is deeply peaceful :]

  • if i lived on that, i would have blown away xD

  • in 0:14 sounds like an airplane passing by

  • @nashbored1231

Actually Jupiter is the planet with the most powerful winds...

  • @nashbored1231 the storms on jupiter are far more immense and powerful

  • @jingeshan24 immense yes, more powerful? not quite. wind speeds within neptune's dark spots far surpass jupiter's

  • Neptune's south pole looks like a drawing of an egg... =I

  • Why all the planet sounds. Such far planets like Neptune. Mars sound people. Let's hear it. Should be much more powerful.

  • @nashbored1231 neptune rains dimonds? wow thats cool, srry for bargin in like this, but i had a weird vission, if it were possible to walk on neptune.

  • when i close my eyes and listen to it i feel that someone is Breathing O.O

  • I've heard this sound before. Its sounds like being in cider pub near RAF Conningsby.

  • actually, neptunes great dark spot has dissapeared but re-apeared in the northern hemisphere

  • it sound like the winds.....

  • @sdsdfg99 Well, it it extremely windy on Neptune. Winds can reach 1500 MPH!

  • Neptune sounds like its taking a nap O.O

  • It sounds like a military air base on a busy day when many jets are taking off.

  • neptune is only a wind and gas planet your listing to the wind

  • it sounds scary o.o

  • @Elfenliedfan44 it sounds EmptyD: Poor Neppy!

  • it must be windy down there

  • wind dosent effect radio waves

  • Yes I know they are not faked but if you went into space you wouldn't hear any ''sounds''. Like you say you would have to convert them meaning they are the radio waves. They are caused by something different all together

  • This is not possible, there is a vacume in space so no sound waves can travel however this may be the sound of neptune on it's 'surface' even then it is not possible because it is a gas planet.... sorry to spoil your fun

  • Actually, this is real. It isn't sound waves as we have them on Earth, transmitted through air; as you correctly note, there is no air in space. What you are hearing is radio waves and other forms of electromagnetic energy, which space probes such as Voyager can detect, which is then translated into sounds that we can hear.

  • @coolcam262 every thing got a sound up in space

  • we wouldn't be able to hear them

  • @coolcam262

this is a recording by voyager spacecraft which recorded any electromagnetic waves(radio waves(which do travel through space) and were converted into sound waves so its not fake, sorry to spoil you fun*

  • It's radio waves emmiting from the planet, think of it as someone talking to you on the phone, no one can hear him talk, but you can because you have the device to receive his "audio".

Planets Magnetic fields produce radiowaves in the same manner as our phones do.

  • its freaking scary

  • looks like that its dark vader O.o doing this sound ssssssshhhhhhhhhh

  • OK, we go to Neptune LAST.

  • thats scary as fuck lmfao

  • You should hear Saturn's sounds.

  • a voices of alliens jajajajajaa.....

  • I heard darth vader °_°

  • Holy shit, me too.

  • neptune full of water and wind!!! NICE SOUNDS!

  • @zubVeryMad methane not water.

  • @zubVeryMad more like full of liquid and wind because were not sure if its water or some other liquid but there is some liquid

  • Streams.

  • I heard people talking

  • It makes sense, electron and positron annihilations as they collide against the Neptunian Magnetosphere, could account for the whistlers/screaming sounds though, just another thought...

  • I think the reason why planets "scream" sounds in electromagnetic radiation is because the ionized particles deflecting from their magnetic fields (IS THIS TOO MUCH FOR YA?)

  • Not for the physics student I happen to be.

  • wait, so they screach because of particles bouncing of the magneticfield, im sorry lol i dont want to sound stupid, it's just fun learning :)

  • what does earth sound like then?

  • it sounds like waves

  • i have a feeling there are living organisms or somthing living example:ice giant! YEti! :P on this planet but very very small.

able to withstand cold ass tempatures.

  • Lol that's an interesting theory

  • black spot didnt go! and why did you make Vanomus0ne's comment a bad comment you idiot, its true, you would get ripped aprt if you were there

  • It sounds like jet planes. =)

  • Okay let me explain, the great dark spot did dissapear but another poped up in the northen hemisphere

  • this is strange because we have no idea how it is to be on the planet Neptune.....

  • Lets just say it's not livable..

  • At least not by human standards...

But, when there is no water, other liquid or gas may serve as a nutritous syrup for life to spawn. Call it Mercury or Helium.

  • 1. you cant be on planet neptune because its a gas planet

    2. youd be ripped to shreds by its winds that can go up to more than thousand miles per hour

  • YOu said the Great Dark spot is gone, why?

  • its not there anymore i guess

  • I hadn't noticed it was gone until just now!

  • Sounds relaxing........

  • really?? Wow! That's beautiful! And it has twisters about as huge as

Earth itself! (At least I heard that) :)

  • this is so beautiful :)

  • Jupiter is strange

Saturn takes wierdness to a different level :P

    Uranus is rly scary

Neptune sounds like a plane going by in the sky :P

  • Why are planets so scary? Really.

  • Jupiter sounds beautiful, and the Earth...assuming you don't listen to the satellites, kinda isn't that scary.....the Satellites sound cool though. XD

  • Listen to Saturn......scares me every time.

  • Talk about Saturn. this IS scary. at 0:18 it sounds like God hissing.

  • HOLY SHIT IT DOES!AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

  • sonidos hermosos significado de nuestro origen como humanos provenimos de la vibracion infinita de luz y foton

  • fantastik åudio display, my tapes of Neptune are from 1983. that was a good year for the planet, but if you have the full concert, i'd love to hear it

  • Sounds like a desolate wasteland with wind blowing across the surface.

  • does a bit, doesnt it?

  • sounds creepy

  • it sorta sounds like the beach near my airport how you have waves and airplanes landing but wow this is so cool

  • some planets sound scary but is it real, that planets can trigger sounds??? tell me please.

  • Yes they can because like our Earth Neptune has poles, same as Jupiter, Uranus, Saturn, and possibly even more planets! If you go up north any time of the year you likely see the Northern Lights also called the Aurora Effect. This is caused by solar winds hitting the poles and making sounds (I dont know everything about it) These sounds turn into radio waves and pulse waves. On the Voyager and other probes they put equipment to capture these waves... then they turn them into sound!

  • thanx for telling

  • I love the slund of this planet and I always will. Thanks for posting

  • yuu!
