HELP!! i have a 2002 hp. windows xp, intel(R) Pentium(R) M processor 1.60GHz 480MB of Ram. For these game the recommended system is a bit higher than what i have, but the game plays extremely slow. Sound is good but i get one screen every 3 or 4 seconds. Is there anything i can do to my computer or i just need a new one? Thanks for info

love it! totally addictive..and damn hard when played on higher difficulties, my only gripe is-i wish it was consistent, i mean all too often my much-stronger and promoted units get killed by pieces of crap! wtf!

I have it now, but my PC blue screen off deathed, so i'm waiting to be able to try it. a friend of mine offered to fix it for me, but i wish he would hurry up about it. its been like 3 weeks, and i really want to play this game......DX

i usually take all the Aluminun in the game so that way all the other civilizations have less weapons and then i turn them on each other and nuke them all in the end.

Alpha Centauri is better. Much more detailed options and real 3d map - I mean really elevated terrain with ups and downs. It still is better.

and for 30$ dollars i was disappointed

i just think there aren't enough changes

and all the expansion packs

it just seams like the same game nothing seams different

but that said i play civ4 now and not civ3

Anyone who can help me with this game?! Later on, when I hit around the 1900's the game just exits!! Telling me to reduce my graphics or something. But I'm playing the game on lowest level of graphics - still does it. Any advice, please? It's getting frustrating playing this fun and great game!

online play works exactly like a chess game, you go by turns, there's also a play by email option which lets you play when the other person isn't live.

the original civ was fun when i was 13. the whole game had become monotonous by the time civ 2 came out. civ 3 was ever worse in some ways. the computer plays like a retard and the only way it can compete with a good player at high difficulty settings is to cheat by making all the enemy citezens happy and your miserable and the enemy scientigic progress go 10 times faster than yours. what you spend 90% of the time doing is hire entertainers cuz your city goes into disorder. is that fun?
