You should make another video of him! He is so talented and SMART! Teach him more tricks, thatv would be awesome to see what else he could do! You two together are truely amazing.;]
No Nibbles is a nice male cockatiel, you can tell cause he has no lines on the underside of his tail. And his head and cheeks are very brightly colored. Great job with him.
We were told its a female until someone else said its a boy cuz of her feathers. I still "good girl though". But it is said male cockatiels sing more than females.
Its a boy, but most people never know till someone tells them lol. I Males are ment to sing more but its not always true. I have a male cockatiel and it wont even woof whistle
Aw some of these comments are a little negative. You both are adorable and you obviously take very good care of her because you have the patience to make her so sweet!
This a nice bird you have, I bought 2 small bird for my little girl but should spend more money on 1 bird like yours that can learn more trick, keep on the work with your bird and come back to show us more stuff .Have a nice day.
I could be wrong, sometimes females have the orange spots but not as pronounced. Birds have fooled humans many a times. I used to have a cinnamon pied pearl cockatiel, whom I named Charlie, thinking it was a boy, and turns out he was a she. Another way to tell is under the tail feathers. Females have wave bars under the tail and males don't. Thats how I was told mine was a girl, that and later she began to lay eggs >.>
Yeah, the empolyees at the pet store told me to check her tail and if it's light grey it's a male. Since female birds have darker colors. They also said Male birds sing/talk more than females.Females can too, but it's rare. What happened to your bird?
I have a cockatiel that looks just like yours; except his name is Mercy.

The cage is a bitch to clean. But it's not so bad.
And depending on how you bathe them; some like it under the sink, other like it with spray bottles...etc.
Trial & error.
Enjoy.

Is Nibbles still alive? Playing this actually made my birds make noises.
MyBootyHurts 2 years ago
Yes Nibbles is live and well. =) My bird makes noise when he hears birds outside or from tv as well hehe. What type you have|?
saxygurl8 2 years ago
Had 2 cockatiels - the guy bird, Ron, always wanted to sing and dance and hiss like a snake. They are both gone now, just have a few lovebirds.
MyBootyHurts 2 years ago
Sorry to hear that. They're wonderful, I had a love bird as well his name was Kiko. Gone now as well. How do you give them showers?
