I found this song from the movie "20 years after"... I also quit watching it to find this song. Tara's version is So much better than some of the jazz versions...
I love this song...and yes heard it first on that movie 20 years and i tried 2 find it everywhere but not teh excellent voice of Ms Tara! It is beautiful!!!!!
heard this song in the movie 20 Years After. i put in the title Stars Fell On Alabama. and got so many other version of this song. had to go back to the movie and look at the credits
I too was watching 20years after when I heard this song I paused the movie & had to find it....I grew up listening to this kind of music back in Tennessee
Like a lot of people the movie "20 Years After" brought me here. I heard this song and had to find it. I quickly lost interest in the movie because I kept playing the song over and over. I went to sleep with the sound of it playing in my head and awoke to find it was still there. Thank you for creating such a haunting, beautifully made song!!
I created an account just to comment on what a great version this song-Tara Nevins is soooooooooooooooo underated and this version is a smash!!!!-TheStapleGunKid hasit right on--I saw the movie,....ehhhhhh,not so great,forgettable................but the song, WOW !!!!!!!!---Should be a platinum song but the world will never get it,sad but for the lucky few of us who get it, it's a tremendous piece of work--Thank you Tara !!!
I play the simple old fashioned version on my keyboard and thought why don't I look this up and that's when I found this interesting interpretation and I just love it!!!
This has got to be the most underated song ever. It's simply a masterpiece, yet almost no one knows about it. Not unless they saw that crappy movie "20 years after".
@TheStapleGunKid, I totally agree. Definitely a masterpiece. It's kinda haunting but in a good way and it's much better than the Jazz versions I've heard. I also found it because I watched that crappy movie on Netflix. I was ready to quit watching... till they played this song... which is probably the only good thing about the movie.
Absolutely. Without this song, the film would have been completely unwatchable. It's just so frustrating they couldn't find a good movie to put this in.
So heavenly.... and in the center, just you and me. My heart beats like a hammer... Love the old fashioned sepia tone of the music and video... left with a nice reminiscent feeling.
Exquisite. Amazing what slips by largely unnoticed ...

I too paused the movie to find and listen to the song. Thank you. Reminds me of my wolves and horses back on my mountain, when I lived in Tennessee.
