I'm more interested in looking at the audience at whom he is speaking rather than him...
Is it a bare room...? Why? Do they leave when he talks.
Is the room full of politicians ignoring him while he speaks? Why is it he can deliver such clear, coherent and profound speeches and yet not none if his colleagues there seem to follow suit with what he says?
I'm really wondering who are the faces listening to this yet do nothing carrying on with the status quo.
People are not broke, people still have a lot of money. Just look at the shopping malls and grocery stores they're packed with shoppers. I don't know what the hell they're buying but they're buying.
Yes, I know people still need to buy groceries but do they need to buy clothes every God Damn day. How about houses they are still buying and borrowing.
That's because people are morons and are only perpetuating the problems we've started with the housing/credit bubble because they've been conditioned this way. We will spend ourselves into obscurity..
This video is SO anti-CFR. Dr. Paul just pwned several items on their agenda. Our foreign policy and the fak funding thereof will be the downfall of this country.
No to mention the Federal Reserve that is determined to bankrupt us.
We need to get rid of these fraudulent electronic voting machines so non-CFR representatives like Ron Paul can get elected.

Ron Paul is brilliant and clear thinking. The only reason he's not in power is because his policies won't enrich the bankers/arms manufacturers/insurance companies.
I'd like to see what the audience looks like. There's probably about ten representatives sitting there and half of them are tweeting on their cell phones. Is anybody paying attention?
dis motherfuckers mind is wired so strait, the DHS needs to put his brain in a ziplock bag, vacuum seal it, and put it in frozen a time capsule that says BREAK OPEN WHEN SHIT REALLY HITS THE FAN, and then clone him and give him a massive cock and hot 100 virgens so that he can have lots of babies
The question is.... do we risk continuing to have faith that these monsters will take care of us or keep us comfortable in our own country. What do you think they will do to all of us when they realize we aren't all just blind to what is going on? Will they still keep us comfortable or will they want to be rid of the problem.
They don't care about us. They only care about keeping us comfortable enough not to stand up against them. At this point they are mostly concerned with their global agendas. That is why they are not even interested in listening to this guy or the people.
There is only one way to solve our financial problems now and that is to create a new currency and repudiate the old debt by giving all the old ones back to pay the debt.
For any Ron Paul supporters who want to chime in, how would you feel if government spending was directerd towards things like research programs, space exploration, or other scientific/technological pursuits? I'm a HUGE proponent of techno-progressivism as I think technology can solve, or at least help, a lot of issues.
However I'm always open to the other side of the argument so I'd like to hear some libertarian/small-government takes on gov. spending towards highly-experimental tech.
Not the Government's job, not with my tax dollars or yours. Let everyone keep the fruits of their labor, stop government subsidization (which creates an uneven playing field) and let individuals invest in companies who provide the goods, services, and technology they want. For every dollar that YOU give to the bureaucracy only a small percentage will go where you want, if at all. Can they better direct your money or you?
Aside from all of the other arguments, the $53 trillion in UNFUNDED LIABILITIES (NOT debt) is proposterous. Basically, they start a system where Americans pay into it and should thus receive the benefits sometime in the future. Then, they SPEND the money.. and here we are now with them telling us we have $53 trillion in unfunded liabilities. Most of us got none of the benefits, and all of the liabilites. This is absolute BS. We can't even do anything. Best case we accept no more social sec.
Ron Paul's approach would be to cut the budget in half. That would mean getting rid of a lot of government institutions and departments. Even then we would be in a world of hurt.
Anything short of this wouldn't make a dent in all the financial problems we have.
He saw this crisis coming 5 years ago when nobody else did. So, when he says our dollar is in danger I would put a lot of weight on his statement and prepare for what could be a change in the status of being a super power.
This man speaks more sense than all the other politicians in America combined!! He should move out of the Republican party and start a new party or something cos the repubs will never vote for him. He should be Prez but he'll never get the right support from most of the mindless redneck mentality , the greedy oil hungry, Jesus freaks who dominate the Repub party.
Ron Paul is my hero, other congressmen are nothing less than monsters that should be shot in the head for all the misery that they bring to the world!!!!
Politicians have the power in their hands to make decisions of killing people every day! and that is what they do!!!
Here's the thing. RP continues to talk about borrowing the money from the fed to fund the war on terror as if those doing the spending have no idea what it is doing to our country. They know, and it is increasingly evident to me that this is exactly their intention. To ruin this country by devaluing the dollar and creating an atmosphere that will require them to declare martial law and subjucate the people by force. It's time to stop the rationalization and bring to juctice those responsible.
mred, don't be such a naive fool. ON a note, Iraq did NOT shatter our economy, but it's one the problems that weakens our economy, and our fiat dollar. You see, under WW2 and Vietnam, the Dollar was under the gold standard. The current dollar isn't backed by anything, which is easier to inflate the currency, putting pressure for higher taxes, and higher prices. Somebody not only needs a history lesson, but a financial/economic lesson as well.
"Our" fiat dollar is owned by the privately owned Federal Reserve Bank, thanks to the New Deal Democrats, + it was Democrat LBJ's guns-n-butter policies w ended the gold std
Further, Iraq cost= ~650 Bn dollars
Contrast that to the Socialist New Deal PONZI Scheme's (IDENTICAL TO MADOFF) w have our nation $53 TRILLION in debt as of 2007
I realize 2your for-the-govt-by-the-govt education, 650 is larger than 53
For those actually familiar w mathematics, $650 Bn is merely 1.23% of $53 TRILLION
$650Bn spent on the Iraq war is NOT the cause of our problems.
$53 TRILLION in UNFUNDED Social programs (2007), Increasing Fed budget spending by $1.8Tn (2009), Bush's prescription drug plan, the new universal "free" healthcare we cant pay for, >$3Tn in bailouts to Wall St prompted by a corrupt socialist housing scheme, NATIONALIZING our banks, Legalizing Aliens, giving what's left of our manufacturing to FIAT, & the Federal Reserve is what is destroying our country
except the trillions we spend combined on policing the world and maintaining army bases is definitely to be included in destroying our country, but the difference is it would be the best FIRST place to start cutting costs which is what RP is saying.
The federal reserve and the rest of the superfluous Federal government is on the list also.
Another contrast - ENTIRE cost of the 6-year Iraq War is not even equal to ONE of the TARP bailouts (800Bn) Iraq is NOT responsible for NATIONALIZING the entire US banking system Iraq did NOT: * destroy the credit market * eliminate lending stds * capsize the DOW & cost ppl 60% of their life svgs * stop the SEC * destroy US housing values+jobs * seize the auto industry * give 3 TRILLION+ of unaccounted4, unregulated tax $'s to bad actors on Wall St All Iraq does is give cover to those who did
I said Iraq is partially one of the HUGE problems that weakens our economy, I never said it was the cause of everything. On the contrary, we don't even have the money to afford the operations/occupation of Iraq, whereas we have to borrow from China, or resort to printing money. It is strongly related to the national debt, and it will increase the longer we stay there. It's time to reduce the federal government, enough said.
BTW... cutting spending means we have to cut "defense" spending. We spend to fill up the pockets of the military industries. If we really cared about "defense", we would not have bases in S. Korea, Japan, Germany, and in the Middle East.
If 5 to 8 times that number were injured (injury records aren't readily available & I dont have time to look), = 2,000,000 injured on the low end, and 3,300,000 were injured on the high end
3,300,000 vs 60,000
vs Vietnam - 303,635 US wounded
Premise - Iraq shattered our economy = POLITICAL LIE
FACT - Vietnam, WW2 didn't shatter the US economy, & The comparison isn't difficult unless you want it to be

Every time I think I can support Ru Paul, I find her on the runway saying crap like this. I hate the BS insinuations - we torture, we kill civilians, US policy (not US culture) caused 911, etc.
Thats all crap. Americas closest allies? Japan, Germany. We NUKED them, killed MILLIONS of civilians. It was war. In < 30 years, they are are CLOSEST allies.
There have been no more wars in Europe because of the MARSHALL plan + the current US occupation. Its saved $, created prosperity, saved lives
Ru Paul is right - USA is broke, but she is wrong ab the CAUSE.
New Deal SOCIALISM - the BIGGER-THAN-MADOFF-big-government-not-1$-saved-Ponzi-schemes - SS, Medicair/caid, welfare, etc have put the US economy $53 TRILLION in debt - $430K dollars per full time worker (pre-bailout 2007 #'s!)
This isnt some nut saying it, its David Walker, CLINTON's Comptroller General, America's top accountant, & head of the Government Accountability Office from 97-08

D-day - **ONE DAY** - 4,414 US dead
Gettysburgh - **THREE DAYS** - 51,112 (23,049 Union and 28,063 Confederat)
Battle of the Bulge - **ONE MONTH** - US 19,000 dead,
47,500 wounded,
23,000 captured or missing)
Iraq War - **OVER SIX YEARS** 4,136 US dead
Cost of Iraq operation (ignoring CRUCIAL value of oil 2 the economy) - $650Bn
I'm not going to research $ spent during ww1, ww2, korea, iraq, vietnam, civil war etc, but if you think PUNY Iraq is crushing the economy you're stupid
The only thing that obscures this fact is that the Govt writes unbacked Bonds to itself (creating debt) that it then counts as an asset in its accounting. Its what Madoff was doing
Pretty much its like me writing a check to you and then going out and spending the money since you haven't cashed the check yet
Mred - Wow - what an amazing combination of arrogance and ignorance. Where was the price of Oil in 2003 - where did it go to for 8 years before the bottom fell out of the world economy? Iraq was under UN sanctions - how did invading Iraq help or hurt the oil supply. And about you death stats. Here my stat: 0. That is the number of American deaths that is acceptable for this fukking bonehead war run by Neocons and buffoons. Your support weakens this nation. Read up motherfukker.
I have to wonder how someone can feign concern for the Iraqi people, and in the very same breath, lobby to abandon them claiming its "too expensive" to honor OUR COMMITMENT & OUR RESPONSIBILITY to defeat the FOREIGN BORN Iranian & Al Queda terrorists who are killing them
Give peace a chance Rwanda! Sudan! Sing it with me! Darfur! Somalia! Laos! Cambodia! Mogadisu! No.. sorry too expensive.. cant help right now.. Ukraine! Georgia! Uganda! Forget what we said.. fingers crossed.. Israel why worr
Oh I'm sure they would like to create a welfare state for the entire world just like they did for those who are rotting away in our ghettos. That would be extremely charitable of them. And it completely puts an end to the violence too.
My first thought is... figure out how you f*cked up your own country first before going into a 3rd world nation and paying one tribe to kill another one off (neither of whom had any involvement with the original reason for the war in the first place).
The massive number of Iraqi deaths are because we are there by force in the first place. It is our fault (directly and indirectly) That is why I am concerned. If we were not there then it would just be Iraq's problem. If they want to have a murdering dictator as a leader (besides Sadaam being our puppet to begin with) or they want to go to war with Iran then they could do whatever they want.
The same way that the American Revolution and Civil War was our responsibility alone as it should be.
In a free country, individuals could take up arms themselves and go to offer aid in whatever international hot spot they deem most needy. Or send money. Or whatever.
But it is surely no business of the Federal government of the U.S., whose charge it is to defend America's liberty, not the world's.
Well put, Alameda! I'm probably as left as you can get (and I'm Canadian), and had noticed a lot of buzz around Paul before the election, but didn't really check him out. Now that I have seen a few of his speeches, I'm amazed that this guy is a Republican from TEXAS! Holy crap, this guy knows what's going on, and tells it like it is! He's right on the money! This guy should run as an independent, but obviously, the powers that be would never let him in. The US needs to heed his warning, quickly!
I agree paul is the best thing to happen to this country in a long time. It's great to see another jeffersonian finally in office. Most people don't stop and think. There's a reason we never had troubles with the middle east until the late 20th century. Before recent times the only troubles we had were from empirical systems of government. Which is ironic because we have become the very thing we were fighting against in the entire 19th century. People tend to respect those whom respect them.
For all of those so-called "conservatives" that are shaking their heads right now, in disagreement with Congressman Paul's foreign policy comments, should consider one thing.... There is nothing "conservative" about WAR.... especially, unconstitutional, undeclared police actions that cost American lives, civilian casualties and Billions of U.S. dollars! We are less safe, here at home, when our troops are stationed around the world tending to borders other than our own!
We're less safe because our troups arent patrolling American streets??
Ever heard of the Constitution? The US military cannot LEGALLY conduct operations on American soil except under extreme circumstances. They are NOT here2 "keep us safe"
This is because our founders put a great deal of THOUGHT into what they were doing & KNEW Roman HISTORY - knew it was this VERY issue that caused the Fall of the Roman Republic & the rise of the Caesars
You have misunderstood AlamedaCountyGOP by his statement "We are less safe, here at home, when our troops are stationed around the world tending to borders other than our own!". He doesn't mean that our troops should UnConstitutionally patrol our own streets, that's why there is a police force. He means that if they were all home, not overseas, then if we were really attacked, we would be more protected and our troops could respond. By being in over 160 countries, we are stretched way too thin.
I see from your name that you may hold some conservative views, so I'd like to recommend a book for you called "Empires of Trust: How Rome Built & America is Building an Empire of Trust" By Thomas Madden
It is an outstanding read, & it expresses a educated and well researched viewpoint that I'm certain you have not yet heard. If you like, send me an message & I will even help your find a free torrent of the audio version
A must read is Tragedy & Hope, by Carroll Quigley CFR member and Clinton mentor. This exposes the CFR and their agenda, how they have infiltrated and dominated EVERY executive branch since their inception in 1921,This is the history lesson of their strangle hold on our foreign policy. And their role in setting the stage for their international banker puppet masters to fund both sides of every conflict...They are the shadow government, the purveyors of war, famine, and genocide on our backs.
I suspect RP is being used as a mouthpiece to appease those of us who oppose policy. The theory being so long as we are aware SOMONE is expressing the opposing views, the masses will relax comforted by the fact we do indeed have government advocates. I also believe we are aware (at some level) IT IS A SHAM.
Because the politicians of both parties are embedded with the financial wizards with the news media as cheerleaders & cover up artists. The politicians did away with the glass steagall act in 1999 that let Greenspan & Paulson investment banks pillage America & the global economy. The great majority of politicians are very rich lawyers including Obama & they do not represent the american public but the corporations, and that's who they stand by. Not the people.
Glass-Steagle separated banks into 2 kinds, Depository & non-depository
GS was designed to address the problem of bank runs. "Regulation" it required was 1) FDIC insurance for Depository Banks 2) Set deposit requirements for banks
Repealing GS didnt cause the crisis, exposure to SUBPRIME did. Wiki Bear Stearns, FNMA, NorthRock, Lehman bros, etc. Subprime every one - NOT banks merging w insurance (GS)
FDIC would NOT have stopped it;Non-depositry banks by definition CANT have DEPOSIT reqs
Audit (HR 1207) or abolish the criminal Fed Reserve. Prosecute all politicians that violate the Logan Act (participate in Bilderberg, etc). Make scum politicians accountable to the "public will" again. End David Rockefeller's "banker policy making" Council on Foreign Relations and Trilateral Commission. Remove the traitors from our govt and restore the intent of the govt to the people.
Crisis ? You haven't seen anything yet . Just wait until the currency lets go.
The idiots in power have designed a inflationary depression for the world. If nothing done you get to watch your children starve. How can you fight a war on a Amex card ? You don't , you have to withdraw your troops just like Vietnam. Wish the folks in charge of World Reserve currency liked their country. 100 years of subversion coming to fruition.
It's hard not to! It's amazing with the extremely polarizing atmosphere between the left and right, they're essentially the same on all of the important issues: spend exuberantly when we don't have money, overextend ourselves overseas with wars, enact policies that dilute our freedoms every day - it sadly goes on.
I see in the near future a crisis approaching that unnerves me and causes me to tremble for the safety of my country. Corporations have been enthroned, an era of corruption in high places will follow, and the money-power of the country will endeavor to prolong it's reign by working upon the prejudices of the people until the wealth is aggregated in a few hands and the Republic is destroyed. Abraham Lincoln
GM and Chrysler will be gone. they will not survive chapter 11 bankruptcy. i'm sure of that. chapter 7 is their grave. once they hit chapter 7, many financial institutions will have to pay up for the derivative obligations. many banks will go bankrupt, heck they already insolvent anyway.
breaking news. many more insurance companies are seeking TARP money. this is getting out of hand. everybody wants bailouts.
Abe himself set the precedent for the policies that enthroned these corporations and led to unsound currency which led to our current era of very high corruption in high places.

On the contrary, we don't even have the money to afford the operations/occupation of Iraq, whereas we have to borrow from China, or resort to printing money. It is strongly related to the national debt, and it will increase the longer we stay there. It's time to reduce the federal government, enough said.
Martinx09 2 years ago
BTW... cutting spending means we have to cut "defense" spending. We spend to fill up the pockets of the military industries. If we really cared about "defense", we would not have bases in S. Korea, Japan, Germany, and in the Middle East.

Every dollar of debt spending is a problem with the economy, and every life lost or injured due to war is a tragedy. Few will disagree with this.

Tonight, at 9pm or 11pm EST, Rand Paul is due to make an announcement on MSNBC on the Rachel Maddow Show.
If it is the announcement we have been hoping for we can elect another Ron Paul.

WW2 - US dead 418,500
If 5 to 8 times that number were injured (injury records aren't readily available & I dont have time to look), = 2,000,000 injured on the low end, and 3,300,000 were injured on the high end
3,300,000 vs 60,000
vs Vietnam - 303,635 US wounded
Premise - Iraq shattered our economy = POLITICAL LIE
FACT - Vietnam, WW2 didn't shatter the US economy, & The comparison isn't difficult unless you want it to be
Iraq is NOT the problem with the economy

DOMESTIC spending DWARFS US military spending

My first thought is... figure out how you f*cked up your own country first before going into a 3rd world nation and paying one tribe to kill another one off (neither of whom had any involvement with the original reason for the war in the first place).
kkidd1984 2 years ago

+Your #'s are myoptic, 911 cost USA >$2 TRILLION
mredstriumph 2 years ago
You have misunderstood AlamedaCountyGOP by his statement "We are less safe, here at home, when our troops are stationed around the world tending to borders other than our own!". He doesn't mean that our troops should UnConstitutionally patrol our own streets, that's why there is a police force. He means that if they were all home, not overseas, then if we were really attacked, we would be more protected and our troops could respond. By being in over 160 countries, we are stretched way too thin.

DestroyerOfLies 2 years ago 3
