he didn't screw up his vocals, he just had problems with a vein in his neck that would get inflamed and cause pressure against his voice box which caused him not to scream, therefore he got vocal surgery to correct it. he can scream he just preferred not to the last couple allbums, he screams alot not live. and in the new album

@lancerevo1994 not just to repair a ruptured blood vessel. to repair his vocal chords as well. when you scream "wrong" pollups grow on your vocal chords and it hurts to breath, they have surgery to remove these but their throats are different now so they cant scream anymore.

A7X r the best with screaming or without screaming and yes Shadows did get a throat operation but he said it has nothing to do with them changing their style. n this is one of their best songs for sure

well that, he did fuck up his cords as everyone's heard by now, and they didn't want to get pidgeon-holed as just another metalcore band, although i though the way they contrasted the screaming and singing set them apart from the other bands who just do something like "verse-scream, chorus-sing, bridge-both". they got some really good arangements if you listen.
