I really don't get it, people hate this scene/song so much, I've seen on discussion boards of people saying "When I see this I search for my remote and skip to the next chapter" and "Ugh this song makes me sick". I really don't see how this song sucks, to me its beautiful and reminds me how much my childhood was (Not 1971 I saw this the first time in 2007) I remembered back in Summer 07, staying up at night and singing each song in the film. @lavastorz The remake was terrible. No disrespect meant. Johnny Depp is one of my favorite actors but sometimes he just regurgitates characters. He does that walk. The same walk as in Alice and Pirates. I don't think he felt comfortable in that role at all. Mind you, Gene Wilder, those are some big shoes to fill. Sure Gene was basically being himself too but it was natural. Unlike Depp in the remake. This movie is a classic. The remake couldn't touch it.
