its handy the 9950 need 125W or the other 9950 140W + 2.1V memory + 300W graphics card in future and abaut 5 cooling fans sixst and sevent are cpu and gpu . good psu is good you wil not crash on heavy duty applications.

But when i tried out AMD overdrive i couldn't overclock, like Auto tune (the start button is gray) What sould i do ?

the overclock settings are blocked. only way around that is a new mother board. some mobo will not let u overclock.

Yes, change wither the fsb or the multiplier.I've set my multiplier to 15 to get 3.0Ghz. The fsb of this cpu is 200.

You can do 3.4 with water cooling and a slight bump in processor voltage.

Speed and Cas latency of ram are very important for Phenoms. The difference between DDR2 667 and DDR2 1066 can mean 2% to 15% depending on how memory intensive the application is. 2.66ghz cpu with DDR21066 = 2.9 Ghz with DDR2 667

I agree with the others, 3.0ghz is easily achievable for 9950. I have mine clocked to 3.0ghz. All I did was increase the multiplier to 15x and decrease my core voltage to 1.25. Runs great! I can even push it to 3.2, but 3.1 is my max of right now due to cooling issues.

Your OC is very low you should be able to get that 9950 3.0GHz and higher.

News: I got rid off stupid vista because it keeps crashing and it has very poor performance. Now I'm running windows xp. The computer runs really smooth and it even allow me to overclock it. So now I am running this baby at 2.82Ghz :-)

To determine if your overclock is stable, you need to run prime95 or OCCT on stress test for about 12 hours.  If no errors or rebooting then your system is rock solid stable. Just because it boots up to windows does not mean it is stable.

I got mine stable at 3.2ghz using a zalman 9700 cpu cooler, idle at 31C and full load at 42C. I ran prime95 to test stablility for 48 hours and no errors or reboots. Great cpu, best cpu AMD made so far.

Well it was on sale, cheaper that any other 700w psu or lower so why settle for less when you can get a better one. Plus I am goin to need it on the future when I get a better video card. Think ahead(meaning be smart). Computer business and technology is moving so fast that within a year your computer would get old because new stuff keeps coming out.

I have the M3N78 Pro as well. Does it handle the DDR2 1066 in Dual-Channel with the Phenom? I heard it'll only work in single channel with 1066. I'm stuck with 2GB 667 for now and need an upgrade pretty bad...

It does but I think you would have to go into the bios and move some settings to make it work. Right now mine is running at 800mhz but they can handle 1066.

600w psu is a bit low, I would recommend atleast 700w to get some performance out of the components
