Thats not good. 4 cylinders need to be turbocharged or supercharged to be up to par in terms of performance. fwd N/A 4 cylinders may handle well as autocross cars, but they're terrible off the line.

All 4cyl from honda/acura come NA like any good engine should. slapping a laggy factory turbo onto a 4cyl and turning up the boost and then calling it performance isn't performance at all. Usually if a car comes boosted from the factory that just means it had low compression and they are making up for it.

@mrg302 Thats not what i was getting at when i said limitations. I meant that 4 cylinders cannot really go that fast when theyre NA. And factory turbocharged cars are not necessarily laggy. In fact, they usually have better response because they tend to be smaller(worse for high boost levels). Factory turbo engines make for a great foundation to build a high performance car on. Some are built with forged internals so you can add a big turbo and run high boost much more easily.
