  • @ 5:50 - how much does Smith sound like Affleck LOL

  • I love Kevin Smith, but still think the 1st 2 Burton Batman movies are awesome! Keaton will always be my favourite Batman & the batmobile from that era is my favourite of all time!

  • fuck kevin smith!

  • Fuck the union board!

    Cunts!

  • union board? its tim burton... back for more

  • Dude. I Googled Bumble Ward's twitter... Bumble's a CHICK

  • Comment removed

  • @takimeta Was Kevin Smith calling her a 'she' not a big enough clue for you?

  • @takimeta ten years ago anyone would've read your comment and thought "what f***in' language is this guy speaking?!"

  • I love Kevin Smith. Fuck Tim Burton.

  • I've never really liked anything Tim Burton has done, knowing he's a dick too really brings him down even further in my book.

  • who is this fag?

  • @frogtastic1000 Kevin Smith, how do you not know. Do you even read the titles?

  • 200 people prefer the name "Mark Wahlberg", and are part of the union board

  • I agree. Fuck Tim Burton. He is nuts and most of his movies suck.

  • I like tim burton's stuff, and I like kevin smith's stuff, and this shit is so hilarious

  • there are 3 ppl you dont f with.

    1. ditka

    2. chuck norris

    3. tim burton

    unless youre kevin smith.

  • They kicked him off WTF? This was a college they are all adults, what was the problem?

  • @dbreiden83080 He wasn't being politically correct. Some over sensitive audience member probably got offended and instead of just leaving they told someone and the college gave in.

  • Tehehehe

  • Even though I enjoy a few Tim Burton films, Batman, Beetlejuice, Big Fish and those stop motion films. Most of what he does is pretentious garbage covered by his trademark "style", which a mere gimmick.

  • Why did they have to cut Kevin Smith off? Was it because of a complaint or something?

  • FUCK FAT SMITH!

  • lol, glad im not the only one to refer to mark walburg as marky mark

  • What is wrong with this guy?

  • is there more? i want mooooooore

  • does he still do talks?

  • Things I hated about Burton's/keaton's batman: Prince music,Batman not gliding at all, sticking his cape out like a fucking vampire, killing people, Letting that girl into the bat cave, Mild mannered bruce wayne. Oh and of course: Knowing little too nothing about batman

  • 7:19

the chick in the clark sweaters' name is Bumble.

  • time burton is awesome goodness

  • The majority of Tim Burton movies sucks. Atleast Batman and Robin was funny bad, Batman/Batman Returns are just bad.

  • @stgm You do know that preferring batman & rbin to Burton's two batman movies makes you pretty much a moron? Oh wait, are you that one dickhead who thought nipples on the batsuit was a rad idea?

  • @eezysqueezy Burton's Batman were like a guy who heard that Batman was a guy, and made as good a movie as he good based on his limited knowledge (which was a little, because Tim Burton's Batman's are awwwwful). Batman and Robin was also a terrible movie, but it was hilarious at the same time, whereas Burton's were just terrible.

Batman and Robin was like they were made by a guy who hasn't read a comic since 1971 and made one from memory.

  • @stgm Burton's batman movies are far superior to Schumacher's lame ass efforts.

  • @eezysqueezy They are both still terrible. Tim Burton sucks, probably on purpose. Schumacher just made a cheesy bad movie thats fun to watch.

  • @stgm I'd have to disagree. Schumacher's contribution to the franchise was embarrassing shit and not fun to watch at all. He nearly destroyed the entire series, that's how unwatchable his shit movie was.

  • @eezysqueezy Are you people fucking retarded? How many times have I said Batman and Robin WAS NOT A GOOD MOVIE IN THE SLIGHTEST. In terms of movie making quality I'd rank it down there with Tim Burton's Batmans. The only difference was Tim Burton didn't set out to make a terrible movie, and Schumacher did.

  • @stgm You're actually trying to say that Schumacher made a piece of shit on purpose? That is highly unlikely and shows a real lack of understanding of the movies on your part. FYI, Schumacher made a movie that would transfer well into a burger king meal. This is one of the reasons it's a shitty movie. Burton's two movies were vastly superior...even if they did enrage certain comic fanboys like Smith who's seemingly never heard the phrase 'artistic licence' before.

  • @eezysqueezy You're shocked people who grew up reading Batman and who are huge fans of Batman hate a movie called Batman that has nothing to do with Batman other then a few names? Batman & Robin are way more faithful to the comics if you go by the pre-Crisis comics, Batman, Robin and Superman playing baseball and going into space every thirty seconds. Huge difference between "artistic license" and those pieces of shit Tim Burton did. Penguin? Yeah Tim, he's an insane monster.

  • @eezysqueezy Batman? He has guns and shoots into crowds? Check. Catwoman? Insane? Check. Penguin? Insane AND a monster? Check. Hey Jack Nicholson. Have you ever heard of the Joker? No? What about a clown? Good, now just be a bank robbing clown... okay good, you're the Joker now. The fucking 1966 Batman movie is a better and more faithful Batman then the 1989 Batman.

  • @stgm What I'm trying to say is that the Burton flicks are substantially BETTER movies than the Schumacher shitfest. I will concede, though, that Burton did go his own way on it and neglected some of the comics main elements. But, to be honest, I'd rather that than someone sticking to the comic and making a god-awful movie like batman and robin.

  • Did SERIOUSLY Tim Burton say "anyone who knows me knows I would never read a comic book"???

there is a fuckin Tim Burton introduction in The killing joke, of the greatest Batman stories ever!!!!

  • ok i'm little confused did he just get kick off ...

  • tim burton is the most overrated director in the world.

kevin smith is a fucking legend,

  • @RyanGiggsOBE

And I sir 100% fucking agree!

  • @RyanGiggsOBE He is? Everything he has ever done was just awful to me. From Batman to Willy Wonka its been campy, goofy crap. I turned off Planet of the apes when when his girlfriend in a monkey suit started up the whole "Humans are people too!" schtick. Total shit.

  • what the fuck, what happened to free speech, I don't care, this is a college, everyone is of age and Kevin is a fucking genius! gonna kick me off stage for my language now?

  • I wish my name was Bumble Ward...

  • that was like stand up

  • kevin smith is better than tim burton

  • the 209 people that dislike this must be goth kids lol

  • i love tim burton i think his movies are incredible. I like his art style and the way he thinks, Tim Burton is an excellent animator and director. I've never really heard about this guy kevin sith so i won't say anything except he should really stop talking shit about tim burton like that cuz it just makes him look like a dick. So if he can say shit about tim burton then i hope tim burton is saying a whole lot of shit about him.

  • @TheBlueDragon15 fuck Tim Burton! lol

  • @thebatmanbadass30000 yeah like i give a shit about wat u say.

  • @TheBlueDragon15 "Kevin Sith"? Like an evil jedi?

  • @TheBlueDragon15 Quit your fucking brownnosing fanboy.

  • @Brittonsp ok for one im a girl dumbass, and two i dont give a fuck about wat u say, i'll do watever i want.

  • @TheBlueDragon15 What a booring little hypocrite: You can do what you want but Kevin Smith expressing his opinion on Tim Burton is a big no no amirite? Douchebag.

  • @LORDUnLuCkY13 once again i dont give a fuck. This is my opinion that tim burton is really good and kevins smith is not. Asshole.

  • @TheBlueDragon15 That is because you are a stupid little emo girl. You still do not grasp what hypocrisy is, moron.

  • @LORDUnLuCkY13 For one just cuz i like tim burton doesnt mean im emo. ur one of the people who take things so seriously when it comes to movies, ur surely a loser. i dont like to argue with stubborn losers so just fuck off.

  • @TheBlueDragon15 I never stated it did, it was an insult.

What are you talking about? I don't give a fuck about which writer/director you like, I was calling you out on your blatant hypocrisy.

I don't like to argue with pre-pubescent girls, if you dislike the conversation then simply don't comment anymore, silly bitch.

  • @LORDUnLuCkY13 wow.....ur truly an idiot.i dont give a fuck wat u say or do, im gonna comment any time i want. So u might as well deal with it little faggot and shove it up ur fuckin ugly ass.

  • @TheBlueDragon15 Lol, whore.

  • @LORDUnLuCkY13 whatever.

  • I thought this clip was funny, other people may not.

  • i lol'd so hard at Kevin Smith's face at the end

  • i dont understand. he accuses tim (who is very proud of his work) of stealing ideas, and then gets mad because tim got mad at false accusations? i like how he portrays everything he says as 100% innocent, while everything tim says is 100% asshole. anyone who does this loses all credibility from me

  • @bradhowes1 did you even watch the video? He doesn't do it as "oh that bastard Burton, stealing all my fucking ideas!!! Where does that fucking goth weirdo get off doing that?!!?" He does it as "wouldn't it be funny if we act like i'm all pissed off about it?" then burton get's something up his ass, and because it's not johnny depps' cock, he's clearly taking the comments smith makes as serious.

  • Tim Burton is one is the most creative filmmaker of all time..and Kevin Smith is a low to no budget King of directing...No contest...

  • It was because of this in highschool my homie tattooed on his arms "Fuck Tim Burton" All the goth kids would be pissed off, but never did anything other than hiss at him like they where trying to be fucking vampires or some shit. I thought it was hilarious.

  • burtons ape film was garbage but his batman or at least his batmobile was pretty good

  • Fuck Tim Burton, the albino loving, Batman ruining, Johnny Depp loving, one trick pony!

  • Fuck Tim Burton & Johnny Depp! Fuck them up their stupid asses!!!

  • Tim is my all time favorite film director. I really do not know what to say to this lol.

  • Bodied

  • Rapunzel - Black and White Paint - Johnny Depp - Helena Bonham Carter - Danny Elfman's one song - Creepy undertones that were already in the story exaggerated so idiots can see them......... CREDITS!

Chitty Chitty Bang Bang - Black and White Paint - Johnny Depp - Helena Bonham Carter - Danny Elfman's one song - Creepy undertones that were already in the story exaggerated so idiots can see them......... CREDITS!

I am Tim Burton. You can be too, play along.

  • @UFMastodon Jay and Silent Bob....Jay and Silent Bob...Jay and Silent Bob........Booooorrrriiinng!!!

  • @Tralman1965

Clerks > Tim Burton's entire career. Give THAT penis a sandwich! Blammo.

  • @UFMastodon Yeah but Kevin Smith is a fat lard so Tim wins by default

  • Everybody calm down. Anyway, who's to say where that idea came from. A producer could have suggested that idea and Burton unknowing the source put it in. He said on the BAtman commentary that Jack and a producer decided on the ending at the tower. Not in the script! That's what happens. It's Hollywood. No biggie

  • I love how someone said ridicilous plot when he doesn't write his own plots

  • 4:30 bullshit. Burton actuialy got Danny Elfman psyched about Batman by providing him with copies of Dark Night. Even Burton's storyboards look like comics. He would never read a Smith comic he means.

  • Hmm. Burton's a crazy goth who loves quirkcy clay and Kevin Smith is a pseudo intellectual fat average-joe and neither are perfect.

  • lol at all the tim burton fans completely missing the point. Kevin was just messing around, he said at the beginning he has no problem with Tim.

  • I like both directors. But it's clear that smith is suppressing some envy towards burton, and is because of those feelings that he is unable to see that they are actually much alike.

  • @clocloclocloc Tim Burton copies, Kevin creates. Kevin has no reason to be jealous.

  • @Tebay71 how does tim burton copy?

  • @Gurufail How does Tim Burton copy?!?!?! Wow, let me list some "original works" he's done: Planet of the Apes, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, and Alice in Wonderland. ALL copies. And he needs to get off of Johnny Depp's dick. Tim Burton sucks. He's made two or three good films. He sucks dick.

  • @Tebay71 they werent copies, they were based on books. that is like saying stanley kubrick made all copies. sweeney todd, corpse bride, charlie and the chocolate factory, big fish, ed wood, edward scissorhands, and beetlejuice were all great films. kevin smith can only make comedies. not that thats bad, but he is not what i would call a very diverse director

  • @Gurufail Have you seen Red State? That's a horror film written and directed by Kevin Smith. So, he can make movies other than comedies. Red State was better than anything Burton's ever done or ever will do.

  • @Tebay71 Thats 1 film. And even that was a mess. The first half was a bore and the ending was all too predictable.

  • @Tebay71 I still don't know how the fuck people managed to call Red State a 'horror' film, when it was clearly a thriller. There were no elements of horror in it. Yes, there were scenes which were suspenseful and unsettling, but that is not restricted to them - you wouldn't call Kill Bill a horror film. Anyway, Red State was fucking brilliant.

  • @clocloclocloc or maybe hes just better than tim burton?

  • @clocloclocloc alike? you're kidding me.

  • @clocloclocloc get out of here you bumble ward

  • well tim burton is a little repetative :P he should look at other casts and theme's not the some old johnny dep and his wife with the same old grayscale colors

P.S. I think Tim is so gay for Johnny XD

  • @grungetitis69 As i said in the comment above tim is my favorite film director. Telling Tim to stop doing things in a more goth or dark tone is like telling Michael Bay to make a film with no explosions. But Johnny depp and his wife do an excellent job with acting out the gothic type theme.

They work great, so why stop? lol

  • kevin smith is kind of a baby- i love how in that same article smith sees himself completely misrepresented in the press then gets all wound up about burton saying something back

  • LoL, this dude is fucking halarious! I love him in Clerks and he is fucking sexiest man on the planet for revealing Tim to be a fucking douche and an uninventive cunt. I hate Tim Burton if you can't tell. The "I would never read a comic book" line and the Batman comment killed me! That kid at the end had to have nuts of steel to tell Kevin to go out in the lobby and cut his act short. Too bad they were ripped off by the crowd shortly thereafter.

  • Hmmm. Then you look at their oeuvres side by side and which of them looks like the more versatile and accomplished director?

  • "there is somebody in this planet name Bumble" pahaahahhaa

  • ive never heard of this guy before. tim burton, hes classic. this was the worst thing i've ever seen. this whole time i wanted to punch this guy in the face. and if tim burton by the way, alot of tim burtons most famous movies are the onesthat are kinda gothic. NOT ALL OF HIS ARE LIKE THAT. big fish? yeah. thats the most cheerest movie ive seen in my life.

  • @TaraCanOnlySeeSkys

    So dark and edgy.

  • wait, what? tim burtons movies are way better than the fat tool KS. His movies tank and they never do great, tim burtons do way better and have more flavor and style to them. All of KS movies are about pot and just being retarded

  • @chorizo1337 And Burton's are all about a bunch of freaks trying to battle the norm...

  • @MrCure4 and kevin smiths movies suck

  • Don't fucking hate on Johnny Depp because of Tim Burton lol the guy has done plenty of amazing films outside of Burton's directing

  • I kind of don't give a shit about what anyone says. I respect Tim's movies. Yeah he's predictable, but he makes it fucking WORK.

Sure he casts his wife as lead, but it's because her style fits. Helena Bonham Carter is an amazing actress and loves playing a demented love interest. Johnny Depp keeps coming back because he loves doing the movies with Timmy.

Yes, this is fucking hilarious, Kevin Smith and Tim are both amazing...

Their little feud is great for the press.

  • who cares who made what? you cant compare the 2 their both creative and unique in their own ways and own genres. its comparing apples and oranges.

  • tim burton has more talent in his thumb than kevin has in his entire body...but this shit was hilarious

  • @HotPocketsBoy Tim Burton hasn't directed a good movie since 2003. And two year prior to that he did the awful Planet of the Apes. Burton has his good films, but we need to stop putting him on a pedestal as if he's some creative genius.

  • @shonenjumpfan well we all have our opinions i respect yours. But i believe Tim Burton is creatively insane. who can make up a movie like Edward scissorhands or nightmare before christmas. Yes he hasn;t really directed anything good since Corpse bride which was in 2005 but we all have our bad runs. Pixar made cars 2 and ended their run. shit happens. Plus nightmare before christmas is the best fuckin movie ever lol

  • Hahah the ending.. Out of nowhere.... WTF! LOL.. It looks fake

  • If only his movies were as funny as his stand up routine...

  • who ins in fight between TB and KS? I think Kevin might have a physical advantage (he certainly has the weight edge) but i don't think he has a vicious bone in his body (he's perpetually mellow, if not toasted)... Tim might have a crazy streak in him from (i'm just making this up) being picked on in his dark goth-boy childhood...

  • typical Kevin Smith movie: make a Disney channel feature film staring adults, and replace the dislodge with profanity. Oh and add Jay.

  • tim burton is a great visual artist but he ever since batman returns he has just forked out the same ole crap time and time again. He is a talented guy but he is way to set in his ways.

  • This guy has like the greatest stories to tell from the movie industry. I´d definitely buy a book by Smith where he just tells the craziest shit from hollywood like this.

  • To think Tim Burtons first movie was pee-wee's big adventure

  • what happened at the end?

  • I love tim burtin but kevin is hilarious

  • WTF !? That`s not the Tim Burton I was looking for.... I was lookin for Shmee150 XD

  • Page guy: "The quicker he goes out in the lobby........."

Kevin Smith's eyes: [BULGE WITH RAGE]

  • How to Make a Tim Burton movie:

1.) Cast Johnny Depp as the main lead

2.) Have a gothic plot that makes 0 to no sense

    3.) ???????

    4.) PROFIT!

  • tim burton has notmadea good movie since big fish and before that he had not made a good film since ed wood even though his fiilms suck now a days his film from vinvent to ed wood are still amazing

  • 4:40 hahahahahahahahahaha in your fucking face tim

  • @MyScorpion42 Many say this and are right, except for the fact that they gave him the script. It wasn't his idea. The script, in fact, involved a relationship between Alice and the Hatter before he did the movie. I kinda think he did it so Disney would get $ and let him do Frankenweenie without pestering him.

  • @serpico1611 Yeah, I hate it so much. - - The DVD cases only have his face, his was the most ridiculously adapted character... ugh. Alice is the only Burton film I don't like—though Burton's work on it, the music, the acting etc. were fine, what ruined it for me was the premise, frankly.

  • @Johnny123456789x He tried to make sense of Alice in Wonderland. BIG mistake.

  • Im pretty sure the end was staged...

  • Kevin's face at the end LOL

  • Who was the schmuck at the end?

  • I love Kevin Smith and Tim Burton. Love their movies. But Kevin is funnier than hell. He always makes me laugh like crazy.

  • Kevins face at the end "I'm gonna be in the lobby what now!?"

  • @ANGRYMAPLE LMAO yeaaahh lol i was gonna say that til i saw you did...haha

  • How much did that guy get to go up at the end? Thats a way to make sure you dont make any friends...

  • I love Kevin Smith movies and I love Tim Burton movies. Yea sure Tim Burton movies all look the same whatever, I like his consistency. Idk what I would think if Tim Burton were to were come out with a "normal" looking movie.

  • Pffff Kevin is just a jalous guy pfff très décevant ....

  • @chunkyjustice I didn't mean financially. I meant his butchering of the literature and not being able to make it a coherent movie!

  • No one tells a story better than Kevin Smith.

  • Some of Tim Burton's movies are really fail, for example Alice in Wonderland!

  • @clonard I don't think he's jealous dude, Smith refers to himself as a terrible film maker loads of times and also said he thinks Peter Jackson is a brilliant director. He just pokes fun at these guys and their movies for entertainment for people with a sense of humour. . .

  • How to make a

    Tim Burton movie

1.) Cast Johnny Depp as the main lead

2.) Cast you wife (HBC) as his love interest

3.) Only use Gothic in designing the film

4.) Drench the story in Macabre

5.) Add a bit of gore and grotesque

    6.) Ridiculous plot

7.) Filter the coloration to nearly greyscale

8.) makes sure you recycle this movie into your next

  • @mizkex thats only modern Tim Burton, his older stuff is pretty good (Batman, Beetle juice, Sleepy Hollow Etc)

  • @mizkex

    1 - Happens in 6 out of the 16 films he's done.

    2 - Happens in 2.

3 - Barely happens, since he uses tons of different aesthetics. Properly Gothic? About 4 perhaps.

4 - What? He uses dark elements in some, but not that frequently.

5 - Gore only found in about 3 films.

6 - I have no fucking idea what you define as ridiculous. I like his plots very much.

7 - Happens ONLY in 2: Sleepy Hollow and Sweeney Todd. Dude, really?

I don't have much else to say here. Go watch Big Fish or Ed Wood?

  • @Johnny123456789x Actually I would like to see Big Fish. He's not a bad director, he's just not profound.

  • @mizkex He isn't in his children's movies, or in stuff like Alice in Wonderland that have a terrible script—and some films, like Sleepy Hollow or Batman, are not meant to be deep, they0're just fine adventure/horror movies. But I'd say films like Big Fish, or Ed Wood... they're great on so many levels, and every time you watch them you find things. You really have to see those two.

I hope you have seen Ed Wood, it could be his best.

  • @Johnny123456789x I have not, but I trust your advice. I'll try to watch it later.

  • @Johnny123456789x Actually Johnny Depp IS in Alice and Wonderland...

  • @mizkex Yeah but Tim Burton created that, he was the first guy to do that.

  • @mizkex Don't forget the goofy gothic opera soundtrack which is copied and pasted into each movie.

  • @mizkex Hahaha you forgot Danny Elfman. Whenever I tell my friends how grossly overrated that one trick pony is they all get mad at me. It's good to know someone out there can see that bum for what he really is.

  • @DoctorAtomic1111 actually i did have him in mind when i thought up the list, but i forgot to write him in. yeah he's overrated like burton

  • @mizkex well, it must be freaking good formula, 'cause his movies ARE AWESOME!

  • @mizkex

    You forgot one Point:

Let Danny Elfman compose the music.

  • @TheDeppert i was going to add it but i forgot while typing the list. Danny Elfman isn't great, but hiring the same composer all the time isn't so bad. Christopher Columbus and Speilberg always hire John Williams. But Williams is astonishing.

  • @mizkex

By The way, Danny Elfman is my favorite composer and Tim Burton is one of my favorite directors. Sure, he is doing quite the same in the most of his movies, but i think they are charming, beautiful and awesome. But this is my opinion, if you do think like above, that´s totally okay.

  • @TheDeppert Elfman is pretty good. and Burton was good. Ever since Pirats of the Carib. (which I know bruckheimer directed) Burton's films are all too similar AND are too merchandised. Like all these T-shirts at Hot Topic and what have you not. I'd really like to see Ed Wood, and I really enjoyed Edward Scissorhands and Beetlejuice.

  • @mizkex

Ehm... Tim Burton DID NOT EVER direct one of the "Pirates of the Caribbean"-Movies. That were Gore Verbinski and Rob Marshall. Sorry, but that sounds like you think that Burton made these, but that´s wrong. Bruckheimer was the producer of "Pirates", but that´s all.

  • @TheDeppert Yes I know he didn't direct them. But it seems that since them his films have just become all too similar and to merchandised. So I think the popularity of it had an effect on his the marketing of his films.

  • @mizkex If it were so easy that how come he is the only one doing it? Idiot.

  • @idioticbread I'm sorry, what?

  • @mizkex Yeah, you´re making a list with really easy steps on how to do a Tim Burton film emplying Tim Burton is a bad director. Therefore, my question is, if that's all that is takes to do a Tim Burton film, then why doesn't anybody except him do it?

  • @idioticbread Because nobody else has established themselves as "Tim Burton The Franchise"

  • @idioticbread They have standards.

  • @idioticbread He or she is saying Burton is repetive and predictable, not necesarily bad. The easy answer as to why no one else does it simply that most people don't want to be considered a thief. If you started watching a claymation flick called something like Carrion Farm that starred Johnny Depp, had Danny Elfman on music and had a super grey coloring to the thing, you're going be shocked to see "directed by Chad Jones" instead of "Tim Burton."

  • @mizkex This list can be way shorter. 1.) Cast you're boyfriend and girlfriend. 2) Put a spiral in it. 3) Make sure it sucks.

  • @mizkex You forgot 9.) Hire Danny Elfman to make the same damn weird sounding music every movie.

  • @mizkex dont forget johnny depp ;) hahaha but for real pretty much every movie

  • @mizkex let me say this:

    1. his wife, helen is an actress.

2.he is a man, a very weird and demented man.

why the fuck do you think she gets cast in his films?

never mind that she is a very accomplished actress who does do batshit insane very easily, mostly cause:

    A. she is married to Tim burton.

    B. they have 2 kids.

they're both good but frankly, they're the fucking real life Adams family.

  • @mizkex You forgot the Danny Elfman Soundtrack.

  • Tim butthurton

  • I like when that guy is like. "He's going to be in the lobby, if you want to meet him."

Kevin Smith eyes pop out like what, that all I need right now.

    lol Kevin Smith is great.
