As someone who has paid close attention to what I've eaten, and exercised 6 days a week for the past 30 years, I am sickened by the size of these obese chefs. Just because food is delicious, doesn't mean one has to continually engorge on it till they reach gargantuan proportion. Kent Rathbun is a walking advertisement for NOT eating his food. He is the appetite-ruining embodiment of gluttony and lack of self-control. One should enjoy great food in moderation....just look at Bobby!
@hhhk20 Some chefs don't work out simply because they do not want to or because they do not have time. You sound very uneducated by saying that statement about obese people. Everyone's metabolism is different and some people have to harder than others to lose weight. No I am not a fat geek, but I am a future chef who has knowledge and respects chefs.
@xXxPr0nxXx First of all, there is no such thing as NOT having time to stay healthy. That's like saying you don't have to bathe. Second of all, eating healthy foods, in reasonable quantities doesn't require extra ANY time at all. Doing so only requires 2 things: The awareness that engorging oneself will result in high blood pressure, greater risk of certain cancers, respiratory issues, orthopedic problems etc. Second, It requires self-control, which these obese chefs clearly do not have.
I cannot comment as to Kevin Rathbun, but if you'd take a Bobby Flay dish over a Kent Rathbun dish then you have not eaten at one of Mr. Rathbun's four different restaurant concepts. I work and dine internationally and I am continually astounded by Kent Rathbun's range of excellence and would take a seat at his restaurant before any other in the world that I have experienced.
mad respect for the challengers but until i've tried their cooking, i'm gonna stay a fan of Bobby Flay. his burger palace set the standard for me. i can't eat any other burgers, fries, or shakes
Kent - Sweet. :) Thanks again for taking time to talk to Hiroko and I at Abacus and taking the pictures with us. Hope the Yelp review was okay. :) I love how you wiped Bobby Flay's nose on this episode. Great! And your food was some of the best I have ever had in my life! - Greg

Is it fair to have two main chefs battling against one? I guess that's what it takes to beat the undefeated Boddy Flay! lol
