  • glad my town wasn't flooded completely. ( monkton just north of bristol )

  • My Uncle camped there the weekend during Irene :D

  • I have met Joe Sr & Jr and they are respectful & friendly guys. Joe Sr he is quite a character and a skilled hunter.

  • wow ! wish i could come and help Vermonters .... new England ppl are strong, good Yankees !.....after more thought , making plans to come asap......sure any clean-up skills r welcome...Im also a mechanic / plumber. see u soon VT. !

  • I am taking the nasty posts off this place. They are spam, not comments by real people.

  • I'm a Vermonter- I can not believe the complete insensitiveness and heartlessness that some individuals have and yet there are the sincere folks who give kind words and prayers. To those who have nothing but hateful words, best not to vocalize them. May God have mercy upon you

  • I can't believe some of these post I am reading! Are they serious? How can people be so mean to people that are going through so much. I used to live there, I went to school with Rita. Those are good people. People should be ashamed of themselves for posting some of the things that have on this thread. You would shit a brick if it was your town.

  • I apologize-- it's "Booty FIster" who said all those disgusting things.

  • But we do feel cut off. Even now, -- 9/3--with one road (dirt) open, we would like our other roads restored. I am pretty sure most of you would feel the same, including the incredibly courteous "Poker on Tour" with his/her discourteous remarks. If there is anything we are not it is P-----S. We are a brave and caring people and I doubt if you have ever met anyone as determined as we are. But see how you like it if you are shut off for days and days from the rest of the world. I mean really!!!!

  • Condolences to all the people affected by Irene.

  • Nice to see regular people helping others....more than we can expect from the Wealthy few.

  • @BootyFister is that all you got? you're a joke Go to VT , they could use your carcass for road fill

  • @BootyFister YOu have the worst manners of anyone I've ever had the misfortune to hear from. I hope you have something like this happen to you one day and see how you like it.

  • What?!? How could this silly reporter make a statement like "their cut off from the outside world", when you can "walk or hike it" there?!? Sometimes reporters makes things seems worse. I mean don't get me wrong, it sucks what happened the people, but don't paint of picture of hopelessness. Get in, help the people get out, then report the story.

  • @mercury4metal . My guess would be that you have never been to Vermont. Until Wednesday, getting through was impossible because of the water. Getting in WAS the problem, as NO ONE could get word out about the situation. Some people climbed to the top of one of the mountains, found a weak cell signal, and called out to let people know the situation. Until then, no one was aware of how bad it was. Go to these public facebook pages WCAX, Vermont Flooding 2011, and take a look. BTW, I live in VT.

  • @hulialaroux - Wow, that has to be devastating!!! I guess one can never know until they've been there. Good luck in your rebuilding of Vermont. (^_^)

  • You will not get any money , it is all going towards bombing brown people

  • Dear God, how are those people able to survive, looks like they invested all their money into ATV's.

  • That hick at 0:46 is not from VT. Believe me. He's a redneck from the south.

  • @ryanjcus ...just listen to his accent

  • Who'd think of Vermont having such devastation so far from the coast? This must have been one heck of a down pour to create that type of damage. I know that area. I've been there. Bridges and roads just being wiped out when they've been there for ever. I don't know if any one died in Vermont, but what a scary thing to face.

  • ravaged? lol

  • Fake and gay.

  • @CertifiedGooner729 Real and straight

  • @ryanjcus Real and gay.

  • Well done, Robert Ray.

  • @franknyt Robert Ray? not one who went to to a private boarding school where the headmasters nickname was "Whip" ? :)

  • They are going out of their way to make government the heros in this. It is their job to be heroes when the American people need them.

  • save the maple syrup...

  • @chena3 and Hard Cider!

  • Coffins? Skeletons??? Gag me.

  • should have brought a mountain bike, 5 miles can be covered in 10 mins

  • "something seen in a movie", I've been hearing that often lately. Have you? The end is here.

  • @JesusPuppet Did ya' ever wake up and think the end has happened already, and this could just be hell on Earth?

  • @grizzzlyjoe No Joe because I'm awake and know Joe. Hell is an illusion of confusion made up in the darkfear places of man's mind. Heaven is what comes above for those who truly want to go see gold. Both can be on earth now, that is a known truth, but these places are in the confines of each human mind. There is darkness and light all around, that which you focus upon is what you'll become. Be light Joe, be cool.

  • @JesusPuppet Just the end of a stage in the biospheres gestation of its ultimate immune agent. The ecological purpose of intelligent technological species is the preservation of the biosphere and its habitat when the native sun and natural planet are no longer able to do so. We will either play this role or become extinct. Thats why :) God gave us rocket ships and the rest of science. "The Good Shepherd" is the perfect metaphor, say, wait a minute, what does that imply about "Prodigies" choice?
