The language is Japanese. They have a system of characters called hiragana which is sorta similar to our alphabet. Since I don't have the time or energy to learn all the big fancy symbols right away, I have to use hiragana for a while first in order to learn.

I hid my puzzles because when I have a hundred cubes staring at me all day, I'm inclined to solve them a lot. That takes a lot of time, which I can't afford to spend when I should be studying.
