morn1415 I LIKED THE VIDEO EVER SINCE YOU UPLOADED IT!!! DIDN'T KNOW YOU ACTUALLY MADE IT!!! UNLIKE THE OTHER MICROBES SQUABBLING OVER ITS MEANING, WHAT CAN I SAY? THANKS? NO, CONGRATULATIONS!!! KEEP THEM COMING!!! Love, Peace YAHWEH bless
The really scary part is when thinking about all the empty space between stars. Think at a few pebbles scattered across a football field. And it gets much worse when looking at the distances between galaxies.
doesnt this video also, almost certainly prove that there is life out there, and i think that there is definitely intelligent life, much more intelligent than us. also the part of the universe that we can observe is only a tiny bit of the actual universe, so picture how big the universe is... mindblowing
i like the one by yoonoose better because of the music. it makes the video intense. evn tho it doesnt finish with the other important parts of the vid, ppl pretty much get the idea tht we r really small, and tht ants must feel terrible lol
Maybe human should consider to orbit something like Mars enough close to the sun to make it life worthy, instead of searching planets that are 'billions of lighs years' away from earth.
Of course we are. As long we have not found anything else there is no other center than living planet earth. Might sound arrogant, but what 'r the options? We're tiny. We didn't found anything else in all those.. so called galaxies. We only living creatures are on earth. First planet is 600 light years away from us.
@FISHMOOGO4321 Nothing is in the center of the universe cause the universe is still expanding at least thats what be believe! I hope you just learned something new! I hope it's useful
@Greentear41 If the universe expands in all directions at the same pace and size, then there is sumthing in the center of the universe. Then again, that doesnt mean there is, for all we kno if the universe does infact expand in all directions like I said, there can still b nothing like just cold black space
it is amazing what the soundtrack gives to the vid.. I watched it in greece where the original soundtrack you used was permitted. now i m in germany and only this version is allowed.. wtf this music destroys your work! well done anyways! fuck youtube
Actually, we are the center of the universe (nonphysical). The size of an object doesn't determine it's importance. Other than the last comment on this vid I give it a 4 outa 5 stars (no pun intended)
based on my calculations the largest star in this video is about 210 times bigger than our solar system, about the size of the tip of a ballpoint pen at 1:24 with the video maximized to fit your screen.
lol the fuck? all im saying is people are stupid holy shit. i never said anything about no equality and rights i just think people are fucking stupid.

@wpaxton I think what you were trying to say is that I was -wrong- stating that we are -not- the center of the universe...
If observing or contemplating had anything to do with being the center of the universe, you would be damn right (But even then, only if we would be the only observers).
1. From an observational standpoint the location of the observer (us) is the center of the universe
2. From a physical perspective, except in certain models that don't include dark matter/energy, the concept of a "center" of the universe is not real, so it wouldn't mean anything to say we were or were not the center of the universe
3. Those other models require us to be at or near the physical center to account for the accelerated expansion of the universe
The only model I can think of where we can actually be said to not be at the center of the universe is one which privileges dead space, or something else besides us, over us. It is impossible to say "we are not the center of the universe" in any of the other five models I can think of.
@wpaxton Basically its just a sentence to induce thought (Maybe like a Kōan). You have to think about the meaning of center (also if it is meant geometrical at all). I had a lot of fun with reactions. Some feel insulted, some say that there is no center or everything is the center... I personally think calling an observer the center is arbitrary, since nobbody can say what "I" means. Is my arm also the center? Parts of my brain? Only my consciousness? Where is it located? What is real?
@wpaxton What I felt, when I wrote it is something positive. Isn´t it good that there is more to it? I only said we are not the center, never if there is one at all. And, speaking in a geometrical way, I think, since the universe is expanding, it should be roughly spherical, so it probably has a geometrical center (although there could be nothing, and it also depends on the definition of universe, maybe there are more...)
Q1 Is it even possible for there to be a earth like planet (habitable) the same size as 'VY Canis majoris' red hypergiant??
Q2 lets say hypothetically there was a habitable planet the same size as that Red Hypergiant...what do you imagine that Civilization would be like..in comparison to our own?
Q3 what would happen if VY Canis Majoris life cycle came to and end and blew up, black hole? what sort of black hole? new galaxy?
@clovelywindheaven Q1: Unfortunately not. Gravity is direct proportional to size. You are lighter on moon or mars than on earth, you can jump higher. And this is only a "small" mass difference. On a larger planet you would be heavier. Planets the size of Saturn or Jupter have no distinct surface, they are gas giants. And if mass is too much, gravity gets so high that nuclear fusion begins, and we have a star. I heard the upper limit for a rocky planet is 14 times earth mass.
@clovelywindheaven But imagine being on a planet only a few times earth mass. Your hair would hang down like a curtain, your lower lip would show your teeth, your cheeks would be lower. You would harldly be able to stand upright. And if you fall you would break your bones. You can experience the feeling on certain areas on a rollercoaster. So sadly, larger planets than earth are not suitable for us. Venus would be perfect. But I dont like acid rain...
@clovelywindheaven Q3: Its life cycle is already at its end. I t will go supernova soon (or alredy has, because if it does we would see it first in 5000 years, because it is 5000 lightyears away, so we have to wait for the light to get to us. We see it now like it was 5000 years ago). Probably it will become a black hole or neutron star. A supernova is an explosion you cannot really imagine. But in our galaxy it is only a firecracker...
Here's an interesting comparison... If earth were far enough away from each larger "sun" in succession that the star was visibly the same size as The Sun in the sky (~32 arc seconds), how long would the year be, by comparison.
Why on earth is it the prerogative of atheists on the internet to rip theists, deists or any other type of person who believes in a god? Cant we all just chill out? Theists don't need to rip atheists, or vice versa.
Religion was made to degrade people into stupidity and ignorance so they would serve their master without question. It is an old and outdated consept.Too many are not willing to realize this.Instead they hide behind the image of God from reality.
But why did you miss Uranus off the solar system?..... I can understand leaving Pluto out as it was relegated ....just a thought. Rest is fairly good.
@Kaladraz To say there is no God is just as ignorant as saying there is my friend. Remember that God is only a word and like all words, subject to many interpretations. Can you comprehend the Universe? Can you even comprehend the subject of science or math or anything in its entirety? The answer is no. "Doubt is an uncomfortable condition but certainty a ridiculous one"
@gavin7choiceandtruth To say there is no god isn't ignorant at all. We're a lot smarter now than we were 2,000 years ago (at least we should be). With the type of knowledge and grasp on reality that we have now, to say there is no god is just plain common sense. An invisible magician living in the sky?
@NightxAngell I agree with your comment "at least we should be" but we are not ; ) haha. This is in large part because knoweldge has been kept from us and our perception of history has been manipulated. The fact that you say "invisible magician living in the sky" represents your interpretation of God as being a mechanistic God that seems to be a product of some of the mainsteam organized religions. It is a very limited and a small comprehension of something that is incomprehensible my friend.
@DarkWatch87 what bullshit? the fact that religion is fucking retarded and causes morons to breed and raise their children to believe the same dumb shit so its like a plague of stupidity spread down generation to generation.
Anyone who actually has a brain capable of believing that shit is a fucking moron simple as that. A close minded person believes shit without having any evidence. Science is about being open minded not believing in fairy tales made up by primitive men thousands of years ago.
@DarkWatch87 Why? Because you chose to believe in the same fairy tale that he is talking about? I believe in freedom of speech. I think he hit the nail on the head. I dont see how people chose to believe in a book written by man to govern the people and give them a written moral code. When those same men went on crusades to wipe out any and all who doubted it. It's laughable that some belive in a book that states one man built a ship and held ever species of animal on the planet.
@Kaladraz They are not stupid, they have faith which there is nothing wrong with it. I am an Atheist, but I respect everyone else's beliefs and point of views. You should do that, it will make you look less than a jackass. I wouldn't had responded to you at all if you haven't been calling someone else dumb for their beliefs.
@Kaladraz Because someone else might think your beliefs are stupid. If you don't like being proven wrong, then don't try to prove others wrong, because when it comes to opinions, there's no winner whatsoever, just the one that understands others points of views, and the jackasses fighting for something that might be as equally as wrong to what they are fighting against.
@BrBoomr Religion is stupid and people that believe that shit are stupid and ill be a jackass to religious people all i want because that shit is retarded. I don't want humanity to spread that shit to their children and create more stupid people. It should be abolished. It is stupid to say have respect for peoples beliefs in magic shit, I don't have respect for that shit and I never will. If your point of view is religious fairy tales based on shit made up by primitive humans then you are stupid
@Kaladraz I just told you that I'm Atheist. And agree with you when it comes to "fairy tales", but that doesn't give me the right to take someone else's rights to do what they want. Religion has kept faith and control on a lot of people, even if its some "bullshit" to me and you. I believe in equality, and if YOU can't see that believing and not-believing are the exact same thing, then maybe you should just throw away everything you believe in because its a pile of fucking shit.
@teawithpeiter It will soon. (Maybe a few thousand years to go...) But its too far away to bother us. Stars do this all the time. Since billions of years. And this is a good thing. Look at your computer, your table and yourself! All the elements they consist of were born in stars and spit out into the universe during an explosion like this.
@morn1415 actually its not far away u know it takes only 3 minutes for the sun light to come to us then imageine one of thos there only couple thousand light years away which sounds like alot but isn't
@JMagicGuy Actually it takes 8 minutes for the sunlight to come to us, and since VY is 5000 light years away, that means it takes 5000 years for its light to reach us. If it goes supernova, you will see nothing for 5000 years (so maybe it already has) and then probably a bright spot in the sky at night, even at daylight. Space in space is more insane than these objects. If you would disperse all matter of the universe evenly, then it would be ...empty.
This exactly why I cannot go to a video about space and the universe and read the comments. We comment about religion and if God exists or not and there are plenty of comments that I find offensive. We cannot discuss the beauty of the stars and marvel at anything in the universe WITHOUT religion getting involved. So without further delay, I would like to say.... I wonder what ants would think (if they could think like the way we do) if they saw this video....
For what reason did s.o. "invent" christianity (I'm German pre-apologizing my english)? I think the original idea of sanity was to give people a codex how to live in a community in peace. So "God" isn't originally meant to be one guy who manages everything but rather one spirit which unifies and probably gives them reason to respect each other. Why do religious think that model of rules for 2000 years ago still has a value? We went on and developed more sophisticated rules of cohabit than this.
Wow this is spectacular! Our earth is nothing compared to the other planets not to mention stars. Now im not religious but l do believe in God and thank him for our universe.
We are the inhabitants of an insignificant planet rotating round an insignificant star, part of an insignificant galaxy, one of billions of others. Nothing made us - we have no purpose except the purposes we make for ourselves. So let's enjoy ourselves.
We are the inhabitants of an insignificant planet rotating round an insignificant star, part of an insignificant galaxy. Nothing made us - we have no purpose except the purposes we make for ourselves. So let's enjoy ourselves.
The universe is not infinite in size, if that were the case then our night sky would be a blaze with an infinite number of stars. A god cannot have 'been' here forever. If his existence is from an infinite time in the past, then that means our universe is infinitely old, which cannot be true. If you want to say your god has existed forever, he exists outside of time and space, he is therefore not of the timeline of our universe.
I suggest people read books about it, it's damn interesting.
In fact, according to popular belief, the universe is ever-expanding and goes on for infinity. When this is true, every point in the universe is the center, and so would the earth be.

@Kaladraz peopple are stupid for believin in a big bang in 2011
TheMinecraftfan23 6 months ago
@Kaladraz To say there is no God is just as ignorant as saying there is my friend. Remember that God is only a word and like all words, subject to many interpretations. Can you comprehend the Universe? Can you even comprehend the subject of science or math or anything in its entirety? The answer is no. "Doubt is an uncomfortable condition but certainty a ridiculous one"
gavin7choiceandtruth 5 months ago
@gavin7choiceandtruth To say there is no god isn't ignorant at all. We're a lot smarter now than we were 2,000 years ago (at least we should be). With the type of knowledge and grasp on reality that we have now, to say there is no god is just plain common sense. An invisible magician living in the sky?
NightxAngell 5 months ago
@NightxAngell I agree with your comment "at least we should be" but we are not ; ) haha. This is in large part because knoweldge has been kept from us and our perception of history has been manipulated. The fact that you say "invisible magician living in the sky" represents your interpretation of God as being a mechanistic God that seems to be a product of some of the mainsteam organized religions. It is a very limited and a small comprehension of something that is incomprehensible my friend.

@Kaladraz Keep your bullshit to yourself.
DarkWatch87 5 months ago
@DarkWatch87 what bullshit? the fact that religion is fucking retarded and causes morons to breed and raise their children to believe the same dumb shit so its like a plague of stupidity spread down generation to generation.
Anyone who actually has a brain capable of believing that shit is a fucking moron simple as that. A close minded person believes shit without having any evidence. Science is about being open minded not believing in fairy tales made up by primitive men thousands of years ago.
Kaladraz 5 months ago
@DarkWatch87 Why? Because you chose to believe in the same fairy tale that he is talking about? I believe in freedom of speech. I think he hit the nail on the head. I dont see how people chose to believe in a book written by man to govern the people and give them a written moral code. When those same men went on crusades to wipe out any and all who doubted it. It's laughable that some belive in a book that states one man built a ship and held ever species of animal on the planet.
danktank62 5 months ago
@danktank62 "She" was being a massive retard. And if you can't understand that, don't butt in.
DarkWatch87 4 months ago
@DarkWatch87 When we havent even explored 90% of our oceans. ANd havent found all the speices of animal on this planet.
danktank62 5 months ago
@Kaladraz They are not stupid, they have faith which there is nothing wrong with it. I am an Atheist, but I respect everyone else's beliefs and point of views. You should do that, it will make you look less than a jackass. I wouldn't had responded to you at all if you haven't been calling someone else dumb for their beliefs.
BrBoomr 4 months ago in playlist More videos from morn1415
@BrBoomr why should i respect something that i think is stupid?
Kaladraz 4 months ago
@Kaladraz Because someone else might think your beliefs are stupid. If you don't like being proven wrong, then don't try to prove others wrong, because when it comes to opinions, there's no winner whatsoever, just the one that understands others points of views, and the jackasses fighting for something that might be as equally as wrong to what they are fighting against.
BrBoomr 4 months ago
@BrBoomr Religion is stupid and people that believe that shit are stupid and ill be a jackass to religious people all i want because that shit is retarded. I don't want humanity to spread that shit to their children and create more stupid people. It should be abolished. It is stupid to say have respect for peoples beliefs in magic shit, I don't have respect for that shit and I never will. If your point of view is religious fairy tales based on shit made up by primitive humans then you are stupid
Kaladraz 4 months ago
@Kaladraz I just told you that I'm Atheist. And agree with you when it comes to "fairy tales", but that doesn't give me the right to take someone else's rights to do what they want. Religion has kept faith and control on a lot of people, even if its some "bullshit" to me and you. I believe in equality, and if YOU can't see that believing and not-believing are the exact same thing, then maybe you should just throw away everything you believe in because its a pile of fucking shit.

imagine if one of those exploded....
teawithpeiter 6 months ago 6
@teawithpeiter It will soon. (Maybe a few thousand years to go...) But its too far away to bother us. Stars do this all the time. Since billions of years. And this is a good thing. Look at your computer, your table and yourself! All the elements they consist of were born in stars and spit out into the universe during an explosion like this.
morn1415 6 months ago 8
@morn1415 actually its not far away u know it takes only 3 minutes for the sun light to come to us then imageine one of thos there only couple thousand light years away which sounds like alot but isn't
(NOT BEING MEAN OR ANYTHING)
JMagicGuy 5 months ago
@JMagicGuy Actually it takes 8 minutes for the sunlight to come to us, and since VY is 5000 light years away, that means it takes 5000 years for its light to reach us. If it goes supernova, you will see nothing for 5000 years (so maybe it already has) and then probably a bright spot in the sky at night, even at daylight. Space in space is more insane than these objects. If you would disperse all matter of the universe evenly, then it would be ...empty.
morn1415 5 months ago
Can only imagine what super massive star we will find that is far larger than VY Canis Majoris.
Trentacus 6 months ago
This exactly why I cannot go to a video about space and the universe and read the comments. We comment about religion and if God exists or not and there are plenty of comments that I find offensive. We cannot discuss the beauty of the stars and marvel at anything in the universe WITHOUT religion getting involved. So without further delay, I would like to say.... I wonder what ants would think (if they could think like the way we do) if they saw this video....
bunygurl 6 months ago
its interesting that a size comparison video turns into a religion war, kudos on the video. Religion wars stick that to 4chan not youtube.

InsertPEEPHere 7 months ago
Wow this is spectacular! Our earth is nothing compared to the other planets not to mention stars. Now im not religious but l do believe in God and thank him for our universe.

We are the inhabitants of an insignificant planet rotating round an insignificant star, part of an insignificant galaxy, one of billions of others. Nothing made us - we have no purpose except the purposes we make for ourselves. So let's enjoy ourselves.
