  • Does it still only have 1GB of RAM?

  • @justiceiscoming Yes, and considering its a tablet, thats more then you'll ever need.

  • I'd like to see how it handles Live Wallpapers. Every animation on my Galaxy Nexus becomes laggy when I use any LWP other than Photobeam.

  • They need to just stop producing OG Prime and give folks they moneys back on a new one when this comes out. This will reduce the sting.

  • @munimack This one will cost $100 more. If you want this one, refund the Prime and wait a couple months.

  • this thing is flying..

  • Bye bye ipad and your black bars when I want to watch a movie

  • I just ordered the TF201 at office-depot, i'm keeping it anyway I searched for it for like a month

  • Asus have the worst marketing skills ever. For one they lost a huge amount of sales for not releasing the original prime before christmas. And now the announce a new model before the first is even out (in the uk). Good job asus...

  • At first I wanted this over the original prime but.....I feel 1080p will be a major battery and performance hog, my BB order still hasn't gone through so we'll see

  • @j2m555 With most planes having USB chargers, battery drain shouldn't be worrisome. Goodbye crappy plane programs.

  • As much as I know that I'll be getting this instead of the Prime... it's just...

    watch?v=7qb0vquRcys.

    Come on, ASUS.

  • @hbksh19 this is still the asus eee pad prime but with better specifications tf700t

  • I'm pretty sure that is faster than my desktop computer.

  • ASUS! WHY! WHY HAVE YOU FORSAKEN ME...

  • @excelx213 Wuz w0ng?

  • @Nherwyziant just got the Tf201 =D it is now obsolete..lol jk

  • @Nherwyziant good thing it's upgrading to ICS right this minute =] i hope this thing runs better...

  • Open Question : how will the higher display affect the overall UX? Will those extra pixels slow ICS down to Any degree? This is my only real concern : Rendering Time and BATTERY LIFE!!!

    Responses?

  • I personally am going to stick with the first Prime T201, now the only issue with this is finding one online, everywhere I looked said sold out. I am not really one for the gps, probably would only use google earth connected to wifi anyway. For the wifi issue, at home I have a great router, way more powerful then needed. On the go I have a rooted android phone that would be no more then 2-3 ft away. So ether way Im not waiting for this new one buying the first prime. Comment for thoughts thanku

  • what's so special. is it running 4.0 or something?

  • @Nherwyziant ... i figured out what was different about this model. this one has a FHD screen resolution. it is higher than 1080p

  • I'm thinking about buying the Transformer Prime, and now I see they have this new one. Is it worth it to get a 1080p display on a 10.1 inch screen? I feel like there is no benefit to more pixels in such a small form factor.

  • @ddarksiderr Personally I'm waiting. I was on board with the existing Prime, but in reality the pxiel density of my iPhone has spoiled me to such an extent that this new 1920x1200 display is probably worth the extra $100 and the wait.

  • @stncttr908 yea im in the same boat i really hope i cant get a tablet like the prime except earlier from a competitor because i really dont want to wait half a year for 1080p but i will if i have too.

  • @ddarksiderr no not really :/ but its always nice! :)

  • @ddarksiderr look at it this way, this new tablet is going to be plastic to strenghen gps, the old prime is made of aluminum, but some people report that the gps signal isnt strong, either way withought a wifi signal gps isnt going to realy work lol., second the higher resolution is going to slow down performance by a bit so the old prime is still going to be better performance wise, and yea your right its only a 10 inch screen there is not going to be a realy small difference in the picture

  • @ddarksiderr - This one will be surpassed soon when they bring out a 12" version. Just get whichever one fits your budget and need.
