  • So many thanks!! I get it now!!! :)

  • Beautiful

  • Does scal not retain the original image paper size? I save the image with 300 dpi and 12x12 in photoshop but when it gets exported into inkscape, the size is 4x bigger? when i do the object tracing and save as svg to import into scal, all the pieces overlap each other. Does scal not retain the piece layout as you see it in inkscape?

your tutorial is great, but it only works if you export individual pieces. I know its a must to cut different colors, but i want to cut it all at once.

    thanks.

  • @battalionofone You can send me your files on our website and I'll take a look. You should be able to open it up and simply resize everything at once using the property-size window.

  • @ScrappyDewCreations

Ok, I figured out the layout issue. Still though, the pieces look fine layout wise in inkscape, but once imported into SCAL some of the pieces dont show up. perhaps i need to clean up the file in inkscape better?

WHat really puzzles me is when i have it lined up in the SCAL interface mat and then go to cut, it starts to cut at a random point on the actual mat and i cant seem to make it cut where i want it to. Is it possible to be that accurate with the cricut?

    thanks

  • please help!! is there a way you can cut or break apart a selected area of an image you just color copied?

  • hi! is there a way to make cut guidelines to the blackout so that its easier to paste the parts?

  • What version of Inkscape are you using in this video? Thanks!

  • @pengyou26 .46 version

  • This is a greatvideo. I have been using inkscape for quite a while(very litle knowlege, basic stuff). I had an image I had problems converting, an image wih a few colors. I sat down last night and found the trace feature(after going through help). So your video really helps. Inkscape for me is a hard program to work with, but i need it.

  • i would like to ask how can i save my file to jpg format, please help me thanks...

  • I guess you can go to File > Export BMP (in inkscape) and that will save it as a Bitmap you can then open that up in MS paint and resave it as a JPG file

  • Great Instructions!! Your Videos are very Helpful! Thanks Again!!
