  • Do you notice how nobody claps when he talks about Internet Explorer

  • so... Apple came up with the predecessor of aero? NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I cant believe microsoft didn't release an update to the UI to combat this!

  • steve noooo :(

  • German!! :D

  • "Let me give you another cool thing about WIndows too" (9:15)

    LOL! that sounds weird.

  • When did the dock change into the transparent background instead of just the square-shaped icons?

  • @Technoguy3 At some point during the DPR releases. The earliest OS X builds with Aqua (I think DPR 3 is when it showed up), it was just a bunch of blocky icons. I want to say that just before the Public Beta, when resizing was changed to bicubic algorithms or something like that, it gained a much more attractive look.

  • lol I got $30, wheres my copy! No really I bet this would be fun to have... Though I bet you would have to keep your clock set back, and over all nearly useless..

  • os x just becomes better and better

  • are u retarded indeed u r!

  • Nope, it seems you are.

  • well people god excited about os 10 so u should shut up!

  • Well, if they get excited by nothing, then they are retarded, like I said.

  • well it was a big invovation back then!

  • For Mac, maybe, but Windows had it since 96 (with NT4).

But that doesn't matter, the original post's intention was to mock stupid people getting excited by nothing.

  • steve jobs you can make anything sound amazing

  • oui oui oui oui oui oui!!!!! French!!!

  • Intel Processors has nothing to do with the OS stability. Besides, OSX was always designed to run on an intel architecture as a "secret hidden life" as Jobs put it. And actually no, OS 10.0-10.2 was not very stable. Stability is in the coding of the OS, not the transistors and pipelines.

  • Ah - this was before France and Germany surrendered to the Euro.

Anyway, I remember getting a new job in 2000 and the OS X preview was already on one of the partitions of the Mac I took over - a G4 400 Mhz btw. I was totally drooling over the shadows and transparencies but it had almost no practical use at this state :-)

  • Surrendered? They gained on it. All other European currencies are in the toilet.

  • WOW! Does anyone know where I can get a copy of this?

  • go to Google Video and search for Apple Expo 2000. One of the results is downloadable and it contains, among other things, the Public Beta introduction.

  • @metasuperhyper where can i get a copy of os x 10.0? NO piarcy please

  • @MacintoshDan Are you asking where to get a copy of Mac OS X Public Beta? Because I have no idea... And even if you could find a copy, it was time bombed to expire way back in March 2001 or something like that.

  • @MacintoshDan You can probably find it but it was time bombed to expire in early 2001...

  • @MacintoshDan Dude Snow Leopard is here and Lion is COMING SOON

  • Yay MAC!

  • lol, he has a cube! Neat!

  • yeah... I kinda guess he liked the cube. you know.... the NeXTcube and then the G4 Cube.
