  • This sifu is one of the best who applys KongFu to real fight very well.

  • Look at his deep stance! Most wingchun-stiles even teach that real artwork of fighting skill. His demos are full of surprises and may gather more attention to those, whom consider themselves as good observators! If you see him fighting for real it will be all to fast - even for the cellphone camera.

  • Nice gungfu!

  • today I'm visiting my first kung fu training with an apprentice of sifu pfaff as trainer :D

  • I went to one of his seminars in the Czech Republic and I can tell you guys he is really excellent and seemed to be good as person as well. I would say that he is one of the best out there!!! Would love to see new vids of him

  • my sifu :)

but i never could get so good

  • good quality of movement

  • very nice , what's the title of that music please

  • Pfaff is gangster!

  • Bravo Sifu Heinrich Pfaff .

  • Gotta love old skool Sifu Pfaff

  • Respect for the art. Your organisation looks like a home for everybody. Open and free.

  • Cool Beans, Man!

  • Looks kind of fast....... the last guy he's fighting isn't reacting, so looks like a demo instead of "free chisaoing" not so impressive.....But i applaud the effort..

  • i know this guy personally, he's also a master of free chisaoing. he wouldnt be able to demonstrate his styles as he's doing in this vid... very nice

  • nice video

  • Awesome

  • he's too skinny to be a fighter. he's in for a rude awakening when a 200 pound dude start trouble with him. Fact of the mattter is strength and condition training is important.

  • what type of fighter u talking about?, becouse there is weigh divisions for fighters now days u know

  • @phalluses

joke or what ? he is skinny but he has much power for sure... thats the nice thing of good wing tsun, u dont need to be a mountain of muscle for being a good fighter and Sifu Pfaff has all the cards for it. and btw i m not from his School

  • Real Master Awesome !

  • wow not sure about you but if my instructor hit me id nut shot his ass or my knee to his face... ive never seen wing chun win on the street or in the ring makes me doubt stuff like this

  • So, can we spar, then (LOL)?

Maybe you can teach me a few things, yeah?

  • always interesting to see all the new branches of Wing Chun they come up with =)

  • he has great flowing moves, respect, but I'd like to see a real fight, not staged and fancy shmancy, hair flicking blue robed acrobatics, its more like a circus

  • Damn....If these vids are from 97 and he was THAT good back then,I can only imagine the skill he posesses now!!!WOW.....much respect........

  • haha i know right? 12 years later... i want to see new vids of him

  • He hits, and the other one takes, Nice(:,hahhahha.

  • everyone has his own wing tsun!!

pfaff was a teakwondo man bevor wing tsun tahts why he kicks high!!

  • i agree with Gog and are , at first get a partner if you are sparing who can resist this will show your skills to people watching your video. Secondly the center line concept if WT have high kicks than why do we teach the concept of staying low. Its a great stuff your showing man but get a better patner. Cheers

  • i had the plesure of meeting & training with him about 3 years ago.he was staying with my sifu at the time, this guy is the real deal!

  • He can be quite confusing. D

Sifu Heinrich can demonstrate WT principles using TKD movements, or what have you. Not your average skill set.

On of the reasons for the vid, I think, is to show the freedom you have in WT, it is about ideas, not certain movements. Most people never get that far, so "all" wing chun looks quite similar. But thats because they are still on the way grasping the concepts. The cat has become the concepts.

    Enjoy

  • very well said. Ones Personal touch, 'creativity' is very important in feeling the style you practise belongs to you.

  • yea i want to see someone resisting Heinrich the cat :D

  • i think its very easy for everyone to fight with people who dont even try to resist :D

that way anybody can be sifu

  • If it's that easy then why aren't you a sifu yourself?

  • WT kicks are not often used against the head ; sifu Pfaff is just very flexible!

  • Please note that Sifu Pfaff either sticks to the center line concept when using high kicks, or switches to using them when the hands are busy keeping contact.

IMHO: excellent, effective legwork and still coherent with WT principles.

P.S. I'll admit, some things he does in the 2nd part are purely fancy moves! :-D

  • @ ManniMac; Yes you're right, They don't use High Kicks to the Head; I thaught it too, as I've seen this

  • hmm ... Iam of the opinion that Sifu Pfaff made this Video to impress peaple, that maybe will start with wing tsun... because nobody wants to make a stil, that looks very boring....

  • may be you are right Shaa...adexD :)

And he definitely had a lot of fun by doing it...

  • I've learned not to do high kicks in Wing Chun but when I saw this video I noticed that Sifu Pfaff uses them.

Can somebody tell me what's right and what's wrong?

  • Hi, in WC is nothing wrong when it is not against the WC-Rules of Power etc.

So if you can, you CAN do high kicks, but you don't have to do it...

Ask your sifu in your school, he will tell you his thoughts of this technics...

    Regards

  • @xForcerx ur right

  • Of course starting out in Wing Tsun we all learn that there are things that we do and things that we don't. As we move higher into the art some of the stuff that was taboo becomes acceptable. I'm thinking that some of those are wooden dummy kicks because i have seen a few high kicks before from the really high level practicioners. And who knows what they learn in the Chi-Gurk program... lol

  • I wonder if Chinese people wear Cowboy hats, boots and chaps when teaching Western martial arts like MMA or Boxing?

  • He is the most bling bling of all the sifu!!!

  • Pfaff is good but also a fukkin poser tryig to look like a damn tekken fighter, very uncool

  • Say that to his face. Wing Tsun is the art that bruises hearts - Litteraly. I think he has the right to be a bit showy. Especially with this REALLY PSYCHO ground technique, that I've never even remotely fathomed; 1:04 to 1:16.

Not to mention? Wing Tsun is a form of Gungfu. Gungfu is an ART, so a pretty stance AFTER he ruins someone's day is kind of the standard. It's sort of a silent "Look at me, you need a doctor".

  • try to do comments in english please ;)

  • :)..i didn t write something bad..i specially wrote it in turkish for someone who understands turkish.. because i didn t want to make other minds bussy with an unimportant comment:)

  • Ey StricherNo3

  • cmoon these are demos! if you have ever seen sifu pfaff beating up somebody on a seminar you have seen his fists disapearing because of the speed, with the sound of a machine gun !!

  • you r right my friend my teacher knows pffaf and he thinks that he is one of the best out ther

  • My observation is the the European marital artists have a much more aggressive and bellicose approach and attitude. I don't know if that's good or bad.

  • Wing tsun is all about being aggresive. It is not so much a martial art as a fighting art. What do you mean by down to earth? If you mean he is a little cocky he has a right to be. One of the most dangerous fighters alive. By rules you mean??? Real fighting has no ruels, it's live or die. And no offence, Bruce Lee is not the best, just starred in many movies showing off cool tricks and stunts. Sure he can kick my ass, but he was over-hyped. He was just a fairly skilled fighter.

  • SIFU HEINRICH PFAFF!

  • this guy seems to me little too agressive and also i think he thinks he is the king... Doesnt seem down to earth like a true master = Bruce Lee. I could be wrong tho'. I Still need to say that i think this guy has alot of rules that nobody can change. I Can be wrong tho' again. Correct me if someone know's :)

  • E' veramente troppo un mostro.

  • best wing tsun video ever!!!!

also sifu heinrich sollte viel mehr videos rausbringen

  • Very good legs. But I would like to see attackers and no puppets.

Especially if you get thrown into the audience for your "standing and waiting" compliance anyway.

  • Gotta love the Harry Potter outfit :D The purple wizard LOL

  • Yeah baby!

  • Sifu Pfaff alias "die Katze"

  • beutiful demonstration,,his kung fu is mixed with highkicks that are fast as lichtning.

    wath a perfect bodycontrol

  • ----> YONG TJUN

  • High kick loving is a bit overkill, but I'll take the ballerina comment as a compliment

  • im a gung fu nerd, and i truly enjoy our argument fastlan3, u high kick loving ballerina. lol

  • It's actually taken from Sifu Heinrich's DVD. At the beginning he states something like: "The movements shown in this video are exaggerated for demonstration/ show purposes."

  • too much over elaborate poncing about in fancy dress.. most wc/wt guys have far more humility.

  • Watch this crazy stuff!!!

    These maniacs are totall nuts!!!

    You won`t believe it!!

    Amazing

    "TAONAMICS - Kampfsystem"

  • damn show off. not even doing wing chun at the last parts of the video.

  • Its wing chun just because it has high kicks or little show off moves dosent mean its all fake wc.....High kicks to the throat/face can be usefull depending on the situation. He is showing off but still what kung fu guys dont like to show off? its all bout looking cool when showing it to people but when it comes to real fighting you use the none cool stuff

  • have you EVER seen any of the o.g.'s do high kicks?...any of yip man's students at all?? no sucka. not sayin its not usefull but its not wing chun. and u never ever show off wing chun...its people like u who are making this style more and more weak.

  • ooo just cuz he adds high kicks its not wing chun....get over your self not everyones wing chun is the same. i could beat your ass from here to brooklyn i dont make it bad. I do my own moves to show off infront of friends but when it comes to real fighting i use wing chun not the flashy stuff. There is nothing wrong with trying to look flashy and cool when showing off, you obvisly dont use that stuff in real fighting....

  • so if you were given the rank of sifu, would u still do all these things to show off? if u do, then maybe whoever gave u that title deserves a pak sau to the face.

  • Yes, Bruse Lee, and don't say he doesn't count. Think before you talk. Beside Wing Chun doesn't say never do high kicks, only stressed that high kicks are a risk of balance. If you don't pactice high kicks, its your loss, because wing chun clearly states directness, and conservation of energy should be followed, and that high kick may apply in a number a situation, also considering individual capabilities.

  • i disagree. bruce lee? thats a bad example, he learned many things...i talking about wing chun. u talk about directness?....how is my foot which should start on the GROUND go to someones HEAD direct? would u put your fists up and start punching their feet? like i said...im not saying you cant make high kicks effective, its just not wing chun. its like a jiu-jitsu guy doing high kicks, he might be able to land them, but clearly he is NOT using jiu-jitsu.

  • Distance, time/speed, and power. If my foot can reach its goal faster and with better results then your punch or what ever you may feel is your correct movement. That is the ideal of wing chun. WC is not movements, but idea and concept. Movements are only what the previous teacher understood to collate with WC principles. WC history clearly shows this.

I understand how you feel about this. But if you were in a room with no doors or windows, how would you get out. YOU FIND AWAY, that is WC.

  • incorrect. there is NO WAY your foot can hit my face faster than my fist can hit yours if we were in chi sau distance. we are talking about wing chun. It is the movements and angles that make wing chun unique. if it were JUST idea's and concepts...then wing chun could look like anything. u speak of principles? what happened to economy of motion?! that is a very basic principle of this art. and if i were in that room, i would centerline the wall and walk straight out. simple right?

  • You are thinking rudimentary. The fact is, chi sau is not everything and you can not progress as though everything is going properly (realisticly). Things constanly will be going wrong no matter how good you are. JKD was create directly with this in mind, as you should be able to understand a WC person should too think this way. Other wise you will be wasting energy. There for if I understand I have a better chance for what ever reason, that my foot will hit your face first, I should do it.

  • things constantly will be going wrong no matter how good you are?! even if that may be true for YOU, thats a crappy way of thinking. I train so things do not go wrong. My original point is high kicks can be effective, but just as the poems say, a kick will lose 9 times out of 10. I'm not going to argue with people who fought and studied the art way more often in their time than we do in ours.

  • It seems you have all you need.

  • The idea of the a straight line being your fastess route is rudimentary. Only a first option not the only one. If we are in chisau, I can easily distract you upper limbs and at the same time kick you right up your chest and chin bringing you down and stepping on your throat. Only If I feel I have that is option though. You may take it away, and another may present it self. The movements are only there because they follow the principles and theorys, not the other way around.

  • I never said chi sau is everything, but in this video they clearly over did the flowery movements. Acinonyxjubatus78 said that in this dvd they say the movements are exaggerated for the demo so...no harm no foul.

  • it is a display of the artful side, he is also an excellent fighter. i bet if he was with someone closely matching his skill, he would choose to move even more efficiently.

  • True that, would it not be fun to see a Pfaff/Tassos work out. LOL! I wish i could travel back in time and see some of those old LT seminars. OR Emin/Tassos now that would be some funny stuff!

  • So many beautiful movements and so many useless movements.

  • what's this song?good

  • Awesome...

  • cazzo

  • first part of the video is in Bulgaria, 1997 year. there was great WT demo in Sofia.

  • why don't you go train with him or one of his instructors and see what there training is like instead of talking crap about a demo...most of the attacks he employs to the throat couldn't be used even in training...but then again you're probably some dumb ass kid YV and hanhi or some bjj "i want to fall to the ground" faggot...they train for real fights not staged ufc fights or point sparring

  • I'm not an expert but i think hanhi is right.everything i've found about Mr Pfaff is always demonstration,lat-sao, but never the real deal...

  • Herr Pfaff's technique may indeed be quite good, but it would be more impressive if the people we was sparring with actually fought back.

  • "but never the real deal..." What do you mean the real deal? If you mean aggression and some guy being beaten up, then I don't think that you will find that.

  • He shows great technique but...

  • yo guys u are judging a si fu here, which should say you are beter.

and the guy who wants a fight, I dont think there is but if u grab a camera, go there and chalenge him u might put one of pfaf fighting.

See you saw a flaw, now try to repair it.

If anyone insulted he's to personal :)

  • are there any postings where we see him fight - as opposed to demonstrate?

  • Technically, there is NO ONE BETTER in the World righ now...Again, I said Technically...I didnt say as a Fighter, but I am sure he would dominate most opponents....

  • just 1 word ... W O W

  • The cat shows his claws

  • bullshit

  • this looks like wing chun cross ba gua

  • hmm they wouldnt be similiar would they? being that they both came from southern china? don't post silly things on here. read a little history first. or if you did read some get better at reading comprehension.

  • sifu pfaff rocks ya

  • if someone runs straight at you and you want to avoid being hit you go around (big). if someone is making a big circle motion to hit you, you go straight at them and hit them first to avoid being hit. watching videos doesnt make you good at something.

  • you are right!

  • its not just wing tsun philosophy. yin yang is an example. and anyone who plays video games knows this. its also used in military strategies. it can be applied to many things. i have wasted enough time i hope someone with half a mind reads this.

  • wing tsun is big and small retards. take the class longer. you start out small ie. chain punches because for a beginner it is best to keep puching for self defense (easy not very confusing) then you make it big and do both.

  • Nice - wingchungrl has it right. Centerline to rigid. Fights usually turn into who can chainpunch most/fastest.

Actually, the reason it does not look like traditional Wing Tsun is cuz Sifu broke away and formed his own style called Yong Tjun. He recognized the possibilities and needs of the art. Looks like what he eventually put together now.

  • he looks like Emin Boztepe after losing all of his muscles and doing drugs and being homeless for like 5 years...

  • sounds like yo momma to me....pony boy...rofmfl....mwaahahahahaa

  • Toilet rebel: yo momma is so fat that he stretch marks spell out her name:BIG BITCH

    :)

  • Emin doesn't have any muscles anymore...just a biger wallet...

  • and you look like ??? what ???

  • the rigid centerline "clingers" of most wt styles can only hope that their simultaneous attack defense can be executed on a real opponent attacking with real power....unfortunately, it only works at specific point in time and distance...sad for chunners...lol

  • That's the problem with wing chun, nobody really knows what it is...lol...in most systems it's just a style based on technique...it's lost concepts over the years...it's sad this is closer to real wing chun than anything out there...

  • He is fast but it isn't wing tsun

  • He is agressive. But why all unnecessary moves? Why would you hit somebody hard just to show your technics if the one in front of you isn't even trying to hit you? Or is it just me that don't get the logic in the video?

And why he uses stuff not from Wing tsun?

  • the intention of that happening is to give a demonstration. this is a show to faszinate people. sifu heinrich has very good fighting skills, but this looks a little different. this was recorded in england. the seminar was a promo for ewto wing tsun and sifu heinrich was there to make promotion. the visiters were mostly beginners and no fighters, that may be a reason for that demo style.

  • the real martial art is called wing tsun... Great Master Leung Ting scholl!!

No one is on the same level.

  • awsome, I hope this stays up. Truely legendary performance of Classic period _ing __un. and a great MA demo by any martial art standard.

  • it isnt wing chun. high kick? poser?

  • A. you can kick high when the opponents weight is on both feet. IE: arms are trapped for example.. you can successfully kick to the head. B. you Can kick high if 'you' can kick high. Wing Tsun/Wing Chun is not a limited to its initial techniques. it grows with the student.. if a student learns to use his.her feet well.. kick high .. just not recommended.. :)

  • you are absolutely right !

  • Only a German could do demonstartions that cheesy.

Pfaff is a great martial artist though!

  • Great scenes... Hope to see more of him

  • extreme perverse
