  • Chad only played drums for Polly and Breed on this shit man....When will you fucking kids who were born after Nirvana died with Kurt realize this?

  • Dave !! where are you ?!

  • I don't like this version

  • Best version of their best song.

  • Yes! It's Chad Channing on drums

  • i heard this when i was 10 i swear :'(

  • @xxcharlysxx same here. maybe thats why i am why i am today.

  • LOL I think it´s Chad Channing that´s on the drums, not Grohl!

  • People, this is from the Live album that the pic shows....

  • I remember my mate turning this up on his car stereo so loud you couldn't even hear anything except that "bum bum" noise @ 1:18 and 1:25 and 1:31 etc etc I am sure you know what I mean lol. Sick times.

  • this was the first version i ever heard, and its the only one listen to now

  • LMAO!.... Even if you have, Even if you tree, I dont even care, We can have a tree, We can plant a house, We can Build a tree, I don't even care, We can have a tree." lol Kurt was funny.

  • #LOL was he drunk when they played this cause he sas tree like 4 times in the chorus

  • @ChristxOffer that might have just been the lyrics at the time they like had just written this song recently when they played this,

  • @swissbird101 ohi see i didnt know that thnx

  • chad's drum part sounds so sluggish. it's really weird hearing with this drum part.

  • we can have a tree, lmao

  • children children, were all going to die anyways, no need to bicker over petty bullshit, why not just enjoy another dead mans music.

  • if ur a nirvana fan u would know this is early because u can easily tell the lyrics are different then the nevermind version.

  • no douche its the early version from 89 think about buying the album before commenting

  • Comment removed

  • It's not, this is still with Chad Channing.

  • no douche its 89

  • @cnacios whoa take it easy asshole...i was misled by the ending of the video which is from the reading festival right before they play tourettes

  • This is old it's before Kurt Cobain died, smart one.

  • this is the best version 'cuz he says "tree" like 4 times in the chorus instead of the other words lol

  • @chaaoos hahaha never really noticed that

    thats too funny

  • guitar sounds better

    raw, heavy and grunge

  • man the bass sounds awesome

but i like the drums better in the album

  • this version is great!!!

  • why did they start this in a different way?

  • Early version.

  • ohh

  • @KCNirvanaKC No, it's a LIVE Version!

  • dale on drums

  • oh i know now thanks its because its an earlier version

  • @skate26boarder Early version of the song, still then called "Imodium", also a different drummer.

  • that what makes it even better....

  • SHE SAID!

Very raw version of the song, but hard as hell nonetheless.

    SHE SAID!

  • i love this version!!!!!

  • Nevermind version is better

  • yep

  • ¡¡exelent album '¡¡

    r.i.p. kurt

  • i really dont like this version

  • I think it was still named Imodium

p.s.: how to know if its Chad druming...Listen to the hihats...he always plays eights not fourths

  • I think so too, but it would be a bit unclear to change the title to Imodium.

  • Yeah i remember when i first saw Imodium i thought oh shit a unheard song :D

  • Cool!!!!!!!!! GREAT ALBUM!

  • This is poor, it's a pre nevermind version I think because around the recording of it they managed to tighten up the song, improve lyrics etc.

+I don't think Dave is drumming.

  • He's not, it's Chad drumming.

  • no it is dave it was just played differently and kurt is messing up the words

  • *sighs* no, it's Chad. This version was played on December 3, 1989 at London Astoria, London, United Kingdom. Dave didn't join the band until late 1990. At this point, the lyrics weren't finished and it was called Immodium. If you don't believe me, look it up on LiveNirvana.

  • I think the song was spelled Imodium, alternatively.

  • dave is pictured on the album sleeve though

  • It's a live compilation. It doesn't matter who's pictured because there's different time periods for the songs, two that come to mind are Negative Creep (10-30-91) and Tourettes (Reading Festival 92). And in case anyone bothers to bring it up, the recording of Polly was done at the same concert as Breed.

  • And here's a few more things to add: Pat Smear's not on the cover either, but the version of Scentless Apprentice used on this album is from Live and Loud.

But anyways, the 1991 Sound City recordings version of Breed (Immodium) had the same lyrics as the Nevermind version released later on. If Chad played at the Sound City recordings, and the lyrics were the same for the Nevermind version, then why would this version with incomplete lyrics have Dave playing?

  • He's is the linear notes....

  • um... yeah... you're right!

  • ah thanks for clearing that up, i thought it was recorded on the same date same venue as i dont acually own a copy

  • yes,the title came from Tad's singer's medicine (they were touring with them when kurt wrote this)

  • love this live version the best

  • hm..an other version

  • hmm, this is one of my fave Breed live versions :D

  • And don't like the drums, but the rest is awesome. :)

  • Horrible version, especially midway into the first chorus. Chad slows the song down considerably!

  • I didn't know Chad was drumming here. I never really listened to this, but now I do, I hear a really big difference, indeed.

  • Yep, this version of Breed was performed on December 3, 1989, less than a year before Dave joined.

  • Is there a video?

  • No, there isn't.

  • Too bad.

  • Gruwelijk ook eens nederlanders die Nirvana vinden rocken! neem ik aan:P

  • Die zijn er wel. :P

  • Een beetje wel, ja. :P
