For me personally, i hypothesize that for linear thinking such as math and sciences, it would be better to have some baroque/classic pieces that is repetitive and simplistic. It wouldn't be distracting yet it's interesting enough to fuel the momentum. For creative thinking, brainstorming etc, expressive music helps. Such as this song. Love the playlist! I would love to listen to more of these "expressive" types of music : )

@juvenilitylyf I think you are right But for writing essays, i think any instrumental think Dennis should concentrate on the music for math and science because this kind of music is very hard to find. May I ask what grade you are in? You seem be very experienced in studying music! Do you study with music all the time?

@juvenilitylyf Lol yeah it's hard to focus during the holidays for me too! Wow you have homework/studying to do over the break? Do you go to a private school? Very few public high school teachers give so much work over the break. Anyways, does music help you focus when you study? And what kinds work for you? For me, music isn't as good as silence but then i get bored and that's when i put on music. The only music that distracts me the least is the soft and slow songs by Dennis.

@angelifyification try Bach or Boccherini, those two are my favorites. I like to listen to mozart at times too. Bach's cello suite 1 prelude is something that works for me

Actually, I find the drum beat okay and mostly can keep studying. But the thing that keeps making me lose my focus is when it 'skips' like in this song around the 50 seconds to one minute mark. Or starts up suddenly like on Blue Deja vu. That surprises me at first every time. Also in that other song, the Tesseract one, that one sound in it is so repetitive that it bugs me, so I had to remove it from my playlist, lol.

the main line the grace-note part: the "boo du du duuuu du du du du dudududuuu" is too slow IMO. The first note (the grace note) should be closer to the beat of the second one and shorter; at least in my opinion. Love the song though that's just me nitpicking

This is a good song to use when you are say, memorizing a monologue for a play, or doing something creative and trying to stay up, but when doing something boring, like History or Biology, it's tough to focus. Otherwise, all of your music is absolutely amazing.

Just to add, when you are studying, your mood will always different. Sometimes you need a slow song to calm yourself. Likewise, when things are starting to dull this kind of rhythmic music is just what you need! Love it

@ghost4e sorry this song didn't work for you..this was my first study music project, so the volume is generally louder than my other study music projects due to lack of production experience. turning down the volume might help. if it doesn't, try some of the piano study music on my other channel...if that doesn't work, then i'm really sorry! ..but let me know what you're studying when it does or does not work..i hypothesize some music parameters work better when performing different tasks.

@whneo97 IMO study music should be 60=<x=<100. Any faster or slower may be either too distracting or too sleepy. But I guess it depends on what you're studying and how much you need to focus. But again, like everything else in music, rules are meant to be broken, so the bpm are just guidelines, and in the end it's only an opinion
