the difference between their sound and nickelback is that the trews have a cleaner, brighter sound. also they didnt change from alternative to like alternative/dance/pop or watever. personally i do like nickelback's older stuff like how you remind me or savin' me. can't we just leave both of these bands alone, they both make good music. Lets just stop comparing nickelback to every alt./rock band out there...

YO! these guys are sick!...I just learned about them from this years Juno's in Newfoundland, one of my fav. provinces in Canada besides my beutiful home Manitoba. And I only have 4 songs by them on My Ipod and already I have listened to each song almost 80 times.....They are just purely Awesome. they are right up there with Nickelback, You know what I would say they Tie for #1 in my books anyway.

I'd have to disagree, Rush may be your favorite Can band but my favorite would have to be the Hip. Thus in my opinion =P the ip is #1 with the Who at #2 and the Trews strong at #3. Those are the money Can bands ;P

As far as instrumental virtuosity goes, Rush is hard to beat. I'm pretty sure they would be capable of playing all of The Trew's songs. Simultaneously.

But Rush's songs aren't particularly catchy. They don't have the same simple, fist-pumping, fun-to-listen-to quality that The Trew's music does.

the first time I saw the trews was when I was at a great big sea concert and they were opening. It was In victoria, british columbia. To start the concert was amazing and they were amazing, they totally know how to please the crowd. But what is really wierd is back when in 2002 when I was in grade 9, I heard not ready to go performed at my school.....and I am almost positive it wasn't the trews. Maybe I am psychotic who knows?
