You say Jonas Brothers, I say The Rolling Stones
You say Justin Bieber, i say Queen
You say Taylor Swift, i say Guns & Roses.
95% of teens these days listen to the same crappy pop songs over and over. if your one of the 5% left who still listen to real music, thunb this up, then copy and paste it to least 5 video's. DONT LET THE SPIRIT OF ROCK&ROLL DIE
The music world seemed to change forever in the spring of '64. For several months, The Beatles had as many six or seven of the top ten songs on the pop charts at any given time. Sinatra and Elvis had been big, but nothing like this. Not even the Stones at their peak a few years later. Even Motown moved over.
This is an excerpt from a 1981 or 1982 film called "The Compleat Beatles". It's about a 90 minute film or so, but is an excellent history of the band, given the length. The film has a lot of rare footage that hadn't really been seen at the time. It's an excellent film if anyone wishes to see it.
@dancer217 Please, Please Me, From Me to You, She Loves You, I Want to Hold Your Hand. All No. 1 hits in 1963 in England. I Want to Hold your Hand went to No. 1 in the US in January of 1964, about a month before The Beatles 1st came to America.
The other clip of this Youtube has the audio speeded up but this is at the correct pitch thankfully! I love how explosive the drum sound is on this version....
Ah, Elvisfan55 - it would appear we have very similar taste in music - see my username ;-). Thanks for posting this Beatles gem - I hadn't seen it before. What an exciting group.... sigh...
The Beatles are GODs!!!!!!! We need to spread this music around the Middle East like it's a wildfire. Maybe it would curb some of the violence. I'd place my bets on it. All you have to do is just believe!!! It would be like Beatlemania taken to the next level.
YA YA YA. I cry for that feeling again. A very good feeling!

And what year was it that the Beatles hit the U.S.? Was it 1963 or 1964?

Which was their first hit, Help? or She loves you? I just cannot remember.
dancer217 2 years ago
The first Beatles hit was Please Please Me. I think She Loves You was the 3rd or 4th. Help! wasn't released until 1965 on their fifth album.

Love me do or Please Please me I think , it's NOT Help ! but Help ! is 1965 .

They sound so good here. No lip syncing and they sound perfect. They were experts on blending their voices.
