K think i ll enjoy lvling my healing commando now, 4,6 k hits as heal specced?OOOOOPPPPPPP.Anyway awesome skills there but the first gank on you in the video they were total noobs, your resolve was empty for mins!

Playing this exact same spec on my 50 commando (55 valor) as a second char. First was my 70 valor sorc healer.

As far as differences go, the sorc/sage can pump out more healing atm with the aoe HOT and force bending (especially on stuff like voidstar and ilum big group situations). But, the devs have said they're buffing the pitiful 3-target Kolto Bomb to hit more targets at least, as well as toning down sorc healing.

Guess I'll be healing on my CM for rated WZ! It's more fun anyway.

Was just wondering about your gear. I just hit 50, and I realize that there is a long way to go skill/gear wise.

I guess I play in a similar style, very offensive as a healer, often damaging between heals if there are no imminent threats.

Should I be grabbing a mix of the Heals/DPS gear? Or should I focus on getting strictly heal gear? I see a lot of my charged bolts getting deflected. Though doesn't seem to happen in your case.

@brm3 Nil. Commando have 100% tech accuracy. Only hammer shot (ranged attack) will miss in PVP context. (tip: in pve you need 10% accuracy to negate misses). In other words you don't need accuracy for pvp

Awesome stuff, at what level did you start gearing up for the pvp gear? I have a Jugg that I'm not too fond of, so I'm leveling my commando atm, should I start at 20, 40, or 50?

Why do your charged bolts hit for 3-5 K damage? I have a BH on empire side, with bodyguard/arsenal spec (comparable to your setup) and when I use my "power shot" which is the mirror skill for charged bolts, I do 1500 damage and I crit for 2200. On BH it's either heal or DPS spec... on Rep it seems to be possible to be both...

@ZSSolomon keep in mind that this was before the level 50 bracket. Leonardo is geared with battlemasters. On top of that, he mentioned earlier that he stacked crit/surge. Additionally, this was before BW decided to nerf biochem twice.

No one is saying healers should be easy kills or killable in any 1v1 but 6+ people should have some type of effect to killing a healer.

@BushidoRei - if 6+ people were competent players, they'd have an interrupt up every second, and he would never be able to cast anything outside bubble except Kolto Bomb and Hammer Shots; everything else would get knocked into the dirt. And when he's in bubble, they can hit him with stuns. Two four-second stuns is enough to eat his bubble time and also interrupt his casts.

There's no excuse for being able to beat six players, except that those six players are absolutely terrible.

i notice you dont pepper in more of your auto attack heal ability, on non clutch moments it certainly would keep your resource management ticking faster, i was wondering if you've tried this and found it lacking or just dont like/not used to it. i dont supposed to know more about your class than you, im just curious about your thoughts.

@Dynemanti I agree that I don't Hammer Shot enough, it just feels really weak to me and if I have the opportunity to cast my advanced probe I will do it. The buff advanced probe gives lasts 15 seconds (makes probe cost 1 ammo) and sometimes i get interrupted or CCed so much I actually dont get to use it. I usually use hammer shot as a last resort in a tight situation

@BushidoRei he is guarded by a tank, its a force multiplier. the tank is taking half his damage, and he can aoe heal both himself and the tank, not even counting the fact that they both probably have around 18-20k hp and heavy armor

@Dynemanti So if you attack the tank he'll just freecast and keep the tank up. You attack him, half his damage goes to the tank and they aoe heal not dying. The DPS splits and it would still remain a stand off?

I play assault spec mando only got about 507 expertise atm, but when you throw your plasma grenade do you find that sometimes it finishes activation and the ability doesn't go off?

@genosane Yes it's the ability delay bug that BioWare has acknowledged. The way I deal with it is to always always watch my GCD, i only ever press my abilities when theres no GCD. also turn off ability queue if you have it enabled

@Mcthump1 hey, i use 'bar2' as my default bar. i access each bars using shift+1, shift+2, shift+3, shift+4, depending each action bar i require. i also mouse-scroll between them if im caught up with the keyboard. it's an old trick ive been using for every mmo

@brm3 i have a bank's worth of unassembled gear, the crit/surge mods are in helms and gloves. there are 2 particularly good enhancements for commandos. 1 is 38end 19crit 48surge the other is 19end 38crit 48surge. i prefer the endurance for PVP and crit for PVE

Very skilled. Nice tips and tricks. I'm actually surprised its the valor exploit that caused you to quit and not the horrendous ability delay, animation lag, and GCD syncing issues. After all, all other skilled pvpers (and many that aren't) are pulling their hair out over the broken gameplay mechanics.

@FenithandKarkas He means illum allowing imps to get valor ranks very very fast farming kills in illum, on the vast majority of servers the imps were inside the republic base literally 100's of them spamming aoe on the republics, pretty much ment the server gear balance was shifted largely in imps favour due to the gear increase.

I have a 50 sorc healer that I grinded my ass off in a billion huttballs to hit 60 battlemaster last week, and I've been on vacation not playing while this 1.1 stuff went on... Is it really that bad? There's 70+ running around now because this? 80?! 90?!?!

This has more to do with the fact that you have battlemaster gear while the enemies do not. Expertise makes a ridiculous difference, let alone players that aren't even 50 yet. The bracketing will help with that part.

@edshah tbh the gear choice doesnt matter because you get to change mods etc. but ull want 2p medic pve for the supercharge bonus. i assume the pvp bonus is similar across the board. just dont get accuracy
