  • Do not let your iphone4 go,100% cost 0! O1NEVA accuc.info

  • i like the new one better,uggh!

  • I'll give $10 for this phone.

  • @LekTK2500 y?

  • why does it take so long to turn on

  • This or pixi plus?

  • @skinny1421 previous version did and this has obviously!!!!

  • @skinny1421 yes

  • I believe I can fly

  • you can like see the black hair on his left hand.....ew :/

  • @TottalyCaity Its Hair....Big Woop

  • Im considering this phone.. Do you think I should get this, or do you think there is a better phone (other than droid)?

  • @xninjacookiezx im deciding between this and the blackberry bold 9650

  • boring!! make it more inteeresting with a different guy or just have a better tone of voice please help me get outta this boring as crap video

  • lmfao you can see your phone number at 5:11

  • I can't wait to get mine. It should be here by tomorrow! I'm going to buy the touchstone charger and a case so it wont break if I drop it haha.

  • i had the enV2 but then i lost it

so then i got a hand me down phone... which sucked

but then about a year later the buttons started to stop working and it started to turn on and off by itself

so then my dad said "since your b-day is this month i am gonna get you any type of phone" and honestly i chose this over the iphone!

  • Palm Pre PLus or Samsung Impression?

  • idk i like the palm pixi plus better becuase of the syle, and i would hate to slide my phone everytime i type, so i recomend my palm pixi plus, its really awesome phone.

  • this or pixi plus?

  • @MrSnowboarding123 without doubt, this!

  • 59 cents is a steal!!!!!

  • Does the whole restart-to-install thing happen with every app you install? Because that looks really annoying.

  • @JingerSK Probably onle requires a reboot when you install an app like the hot spot that works with the phones hardware. Not games or simple apps.

  • Does this phone have its own marketplace for downloading apps? If not, where do you get the apps?

  • @JingerSK Yes, it has the Palm App Catalog.

  • @JingerSK yes the palm app catalog, not near as many as the iphone app store though but they are working on it,

  • @samvaldez4 Oh, the iPhone doesn't really tickle my fancy, so I don't really care about that. As long as there's a variety of apps to choose from, I'll be satisfied.

  • i know how much the phone itself is but how much is a 2 year contract all together

  • @st3p4hen Contract is free lol it depends on what plan you are on for minutes, texts, internet, if you are going to tether the phone wifi or usb. All though on my verizon HTC Eris I didn't get charged extra for tethering it for a few days.

  • do u have to have the data plan

  • @Brandonlee927 Yes. With smartphones, it's $30/month. You can't get rid of that because it helps pay for you to use the internet whenever you want.

  • @slantblant The Verizon Wireless promotional deal is over. It was over June 25th. Its how I got my Palm Pre Plus.

  • I have this phone. Its awesome, but be aware it freezes and glitches occasionally. But besides that its AWESOME.

  • I am getting this phone for high school we are allowed to anything we want and use it during lunch well i want to bring my mac book of course my mom wont let me so i am getting this smart phone insted

  • I'm getting this phone as a replacment phone for my broken lg enV3

  • i was going to get the lg ally as a replacement for my broken lg enV touch, but now im beginning to reconsider my decision... this phone looks amazing in all ways

  • its an awsome phone

  • gettin this fone 2moro . does the advance gestures affect the battery life?

  • you sound like those people who talk really quite on the radio.

  • do you have to pay for the wifi hot spot separately or does it come with that $30 data package

  • this is gunna be my first phone cant wait till i get it

  • could anybody tell me plz if u can play mp4 files on pre plus? (mp4 is a video format)

  • I love everything about this phone..can't wait till i get it..My college present =)

  • Should I get the palm pre plus or the htc incredible? HELP ME! :(

  • @ROKR77 Im getting the pre plus.. It's underated but by far the best low priced smartphone in my opinion. Choose wisely =)

  • I have the Palm Pre Plus and let me tell you is a pretty sweet phone specially if you get 3G on your area the internet is pretty fast... So I recommend this phone

  • I was very excited to get the Palm Pre, but I am amazed at the fact that they put ZEEEEERO thought into the size of the keyboard. I don't even have chubby fingers and couldn't believe how a bunch of engineers could not think of one of the most basic issues on a phone. What a waste of a great phone. I'll wait until they redo it...

  • is it a good phone cause im geting one

  • alright thanks nick and tech

  • yes DCgolf013

  • is a data plan required for this phone? someone please let me know

    thanks :)

  • @DCgolf013 yes just got mine today

  • @DCgolf013 yes its 29.99 a month on verizon

  • good luck beejerky7897

  • Does the screen scratch up easily???

  • Im at&t and was wondeing if i could put my sim card in it . & it work

  • i dont see y ppl have such a problem with charging their phone up every night i do it.

  • I know right! I charge mine every night even if my phone has 1/2 battery left. (I have the LG Voyager)

  • @imvugeek Agreed. It's like people have this idea in their heads that a phone HAS to last more than a day on one charge for it to be a good phone.

  • @imvugeek I do to !!! :)

  • @imvugeek Yeah and they can always buy a 1400 mAh battery if they don't like it. so they can just shut up and stop complaining.

  • @imvugeek Same I charge my phone every night. P.s. do you won the phone if so how is it I might be getting this for my upgrade coming up.

  • @imvugeek i agree with this!!! i mean i have a droid 2, but i charge it every night. people think that since they had an env 2 that they did one 5 minute call and 10 texts every day and it lasted 4 days on a charge that a smartphone with data and internet and everything will be the same way

  • This phone has an internal 16 GB memory, But does it also have an option available for Micro SD cards? I'm getting this phone, but I need to know.

  • @RiderZo no expansion capabilities

  • @siedpe13 Oh DARN, but o'well. I'm still getting it. Thank you for answering my question.

  • @RiderZo i heard that it does

  • should i get:

    A) BlackBerry Tour

    B) HTC Eris

    or

    C) Palm Pre Plus

  • @eminemfan88shady

What you should do is not get a phone. Imagine life without a phone? Imagine being able to think again?

  • @eminemfan88shady dude I think Palm pre plus is a good option since it has a lot of mutimedia and loads of other features...

  • @eminemfan88shady C) Palm Pre P.

  • my android device (droid) is a bit buggy. gps stops working and i have to reboot it. alarm sometimes just doesn't work.

etc. i'm thinking about getting a pre.

  • do you have to pay extra internet money?

  • i think its $30/mo for the data plan

  • PEOPLE THE MOBIL HOT SPOT APP IS NOW FREE WITH THIS PHONE! Normally you would have an aditional $40 added onto your bill but because the sales of this phone are so down verizon is offering this free for the full two years when you buy it!

big selling point for me now im actually interested in it

  • I wish you could put Android software on the Pre Plus. Or I hope Verizon makes a phone just like the Pre Plus for Android.

  • can you run xbox live off of the hotspot app? is it fast enough? would anyone mind messaging me and telling me?

  • can you run xbox live off of the hotspot app? is it fast enough?

  • your dumb.

  • reason palm switched because nobody likes sprint and they made no money with sprint. so they tried something different by making to new phones and putting them with the top cellular company..

  • @fonesmart123 "nobody likes sprint" Don't be a fanboy, please. They just weren't making enough money on Sprint. Pre Plus and Pixi Plus are coming to AT&T this summer.

  • @fonesmart123 "nobody likes sprint" Don't be a fanboy, please. They just weren't making enough money on Sprint. Pre Plus and Pixi Plus are coming to AT&T this summer.

  • this phone has nifty features but ive tried the keyboard and my fingers just couldnt take those small keys all the time and the screens pretty small

  • hate that they talk so much get to the phone

  • i got one for free

  • how!?

  • when he did the menu slide where he was on a different app and slid up the menu can u do that on the sprint palm pre and pixi someone answwer plz

  • i tinky you can

  • theres a touch sensitive area under the screen, It so high tech in a low budget way

  • i want this phone!!

  • after all these years they still think its a good idea to put those annoying plastic covers over ports. Thats somthing I like about apple. The way they design is unique. They didnt dare put those covers on even clear back to the original iPod.

  • its good to put annoying covers on the ports so nuffing can get in em

  • this video missed so many things. such the new ram and Video recording, Huge things that make it different from all the other phones in the market - of course this is not an iPhone.

  • he said the new ram

  • I have never used a palm device before, how do they differ from other smartphones?

  • they work as personal assistants not to mention WebOS is simply beautiful and kind of spoils you

  • their os is confusing

  • @sammymunir

How in the world is their OS confusing? I'm sorry but the OS is so simple that even people that haven't used an smartphone should understand it. If you are having an hard time now, then I'm scared to see how you react to things in the future. I didn't even need an user guide for it. Seriously, everything is right in-front of you like the iPhone is and others.

What is so confusing about it?

  • @yanike You forgot that anything that isn't Apple is confusing to Apple fanboys.

  • not really....apple "fanboys" are the basically the dominate species of cellular technology..even with android and it's great review the iphone still beats android.why??/ usually because of the iPhone's application store....it has way more apps than the droid store also better graphics...and the Iphone is still alot simpler.(btw: i have an android product myself:motorola cliq)

  • @fonesmart123 Uh . . . no. Apple fanboys are about the stupidest people (technology-wise) that I've ever met. They don't know what they're talking about, and they don't know how to debate.

You think the Motorola Cliq is a good representation of the Android platform? What are you smoking? You think what applies to the Cliq applies to the Hero, Droid, or N1?

Better graphics? What the hell? Do you even know what you're talking about?

  • Definitely get it. @Yakuzagang5, this phone is better than android in my opinion. It's elegant, and hombrew and Preware make it soooooo awesome! What's so good about Android? Love to have debates!

  • @etrwilliams in hardware and in style yes the palm pre and pixi plus do beat....although android does have a larger application unit than the palm app store. the thing about android is it didnt have widgets, its didnt have many bugs, it was proven faster than apple.. rite now i have the motorola cliq( android phone) which is very cool but kinda laggy

  • @fonesmart123 You obviously don't know what the hell you're talking about. If you wish to not be outclassed, stay out.

Android is about one of the buggiest OS's I've seen, due to it's roughness/immaturity.

'Proven faster"? What the fuck? Links? Please?

    Has widgets too, btw.

  • i do know what I am talking about...sprint is the lowest selling company in the cellular service company..iphone's are not as fast as android device and have been proven by many people. And hey if Apple "fanboys", are so stupid why do they have the all-time highest reviews for knowing the most about the iphone. i mean the iphone's games and application graphics are better than droid's. cliq was voted 3rd best droid phone. And sprint has the worst coverage according to most reviews.

  • @fonesmart123 "iphone's are not as fast as android device and have been proven by many people."

Bullshit. It depends on the processor and the phone you compare it too.

" And hey if Apple "fanboys", are so stupid why do they have the all-time highest reviews for knowing the most about the iphone."

More bullshit. Of course Apple 'fanboys' would know the most about the iPhone, you idiot!

  • @fonesmart123 " i mean the iphone's games and application graphics are better than droid's."

Very debatable. And stop switching subjects, will you? First you're talking about Android as a whole, now you're talking about the Droid, and then you finish with the Cliq.

"cliq was voted 3rd best droid phone."

On what site? CNET? I doubt it's the aggregated 3rd best. It's too sluggish. N1, Droid, and Droid Eris are far and away better than the Cliq.

  • @wdililn I concur with your testimony.

Fanboy, i bid you to stop talking lol

  • @etrwilliams

build quality? i got a palm pre plus and liked web os, though the phone's performance is sluggish. i went through 3 phones in two weeks, and that's just unacceptable. the first kept powering itself off, the second's gps didn't work, and the third's slider was so wobbly it was guaranteed to orea. traded it in for a droid incredible and havn't looked back. very snappy performance, very usable ui and a robust market (that allows refunds! really cuts down on crapware)

  • @etrwilliams Better than Android? what phone are you comparing this to? Better than an LG Ally maybe, but what about the HTC Evo? maybe the Droid X? hmm... HTC incredible? :)

  • @ecpro08 lets not forget about the big daddy the iphone 4 yes my phone. i use to think the driod was better than iphone it was untill the iphone 4 came out

  • great looking interface imo

  • im thinking about getting this phone. Good idea or no?

  • im going to get it.

  • @cullum24 yes good idea get it its cool

  • @cullum24

i think its a wonderful i dea but if u ave a year contract i would wait to see if another cool fone would come out and if ur allowed to surf the web then gettt it all the way.?!

  • do it

  • im thinking about getting this. Good Idea?

  • get an android phone. MUCH better!

  • lol i still have two palm os devices

    one has a monochrome display

  • get to vacation days!!!

  • Great review, thank you. Is there a part two that shows you using the msg & call features? I'm on Verizon and int he market for my first smart phone. This was very helpful.

  • okay i have a question abou tthe 3G on this phone or as seen as (EV) on the phone when u dont have 3g does that symbol like disappear or let u know it doesnt have 3g where ur at???

  • Excellent video, thanks!!!

  • why is it called palm pre plus for verison and just palm pre for sprint? whats so "plus" about it?

  • The verizon palm pre plus has a much nicer keypad in my opinion

  • Comment removed

  • @GoldenAreil

    More memory, better processor.

    Video capability

    No home button on front.

  • really nice review =)

  • Fantastic Review! one of the better ones I've seen. I usually go to Phone dog for them but I found yours to be a lot clearer, and you showed a close up of the phone most the time that was clear. I just have two questions though, is the slide better than the sprint version?(I currently own the sprint version) and I'm curious if your single fluctuates a lot like it did in the video, as I"m wanting to switch.

  • Palm's Web OS has the absolutely best way of handling multi tasking... It just looks so easy and natural.. A SHAME they haven't released it here in Europe yet.. It's taking forever... :(

  • Someone help me!!! I'm getting a new phone soon, and i couldn't decide between this, or the Blackberry Tour???

  • @fallboy37

Get the Palm Pre Plus, the WebOS will beat blackberry's everyday, this phone is also more fun and can be personalized more. Blackberry is more meant for business.

  • idk man its basically up to what your into. they're both completely different phones. i've had a blackberry for quite a long time now and i'm ready to try something new, so i'm getting this next week.

  • @fallboy37 Blackberry tour would be better for the keyboard but the pre for multi tasking

  • Storm 2 or Pre Plus?

  • def a pre...its OS is so much more fluid than the aging blackberry's

  • pre plus for sure.

  • @TheWWEUploaderHQ Pre Plus

  • PRE PLUS came out TODAY for verizon yayyy and palm pixi plus lol

  • Pre

  • Beautiful video!!5/5

  • Mike, any news about the lenovo lephone and the US market , it look good and promising.

  • Mike,

Can we use the touch screen for text and dialing or we have to use the key board, can we answer calls through touch screen or we have to slide it open?

Nice review and i hope the make full touch screens in the future with the same size, it seems most brands are going back to the brick size phones just like old days.

    10x.

  • phone looks awesome

palm pre plus, nexus one (for verizon when it comes) or motorola droid

  • zackam most people don't really need all features that smart phones have, me personally, i prefer update yet simple phones, i like the pre plus, look good siple and not bulky, i hope it was 5 mp, nexus one i heard its bad on reception, the tracking ball isn't necessary , its more like a changing color pimple.

the motorola one of my buddies have it , very heavy and bulky actually its made of metal, its pain in the ass to have in ur pocket, unless u wear a cargo pants or a jacket year round.

  • personally i like the pre much better than the droid and i dont know much about the nexus one. the droid keyboard quite frankly stinks, and i think the pre's features are cooler and more unique and original. im getting the phone soon actually!

  • yea i like the palm pre plus just came out today for verizon

    love the design

  • Does it still have the same processor? I heard in several video's from CES that their is they updated the processor? I really like this phone, but I feel that it is still slow in several areas. Also, the lack of some good quality apps is a major issue. Does anyone have any thoughts why this would be better than the Nexus One which is coming to Verizon later this year.

  • Some Palm folks were dealing out misinformation at the CES show. It has the same processor, but more SDRAM for applications to run in, which makes it faster when more apps are loaded simultaneously, but not faster in terms of raw processing power.

  • can my youtube brethern help me out?

do you guys think the palm pre does things better then the first black berry storm let me know guys:)

  • I think the Pre is the device that more people would prefer. The small screen is a bit of an issue compared to the Storm, but it's a smaller device, too.

  • if you guys had to choose would you go droid or pre?

  • pre

  • pre definetley. the keyboard is much better and i personally like this phone better. i'm getting soon actually!

  • I'm getting the palm pixi plus when it comes out in a few days

  • late verizon !!!

  • Pro review as always, compared to other reviewers on the interwebs. Michael really can show nicely new and cool features and knows what he is doing.

    Cheers!

  • Love my Pre. The phone is a beautiful piece of engineering and the OS has really improved in the last couple of months. The Touchstone is a must have so I'm glad they are making the inductive back standard. All the other phone makers need to follow Palm's lead on multitasking.

  • Palm Pre Plus. Come to T-Mobile please. Ugh. Such a beautiful phone.

  • lol so the phone tethers legally now? Fantastic.

  • Weak wifi signal because of the weak signal on the phone itself. It looks like you only have one bar.

  • The weak signal was coming from the Pre. Both the Nexus One and CLIQ reported the signal strength as weak, even when the Pre Plus was right there. Both phones reported full strength signals when attached to a regular WiFi hotspot.

  • good marketing by verizon to coax you into buying the touchstone charger by including the inductive backing with the phone.

  • thats fuckin bullshit how the verizon palm pre has 16 gigabytes but the one for sprint, the one that i have, has fuckin 8

  • @dwadefan4lyfe i always wanted the pre from Sprint but I was stuck in contract with Verizon and now the Pre's coming to Verizon but better ahah i'm totally getting it xD
