  • I been down that road before in my Semi with no jake brakes

  • @gribbins51 doesn't sound like much fun, I magine you burned up some trailer brakes on that run.

  • ya not wolf creek

  • Waaaay before rap. Came out in '75 or '76.

  • @mc73454 if I remember correctly, rap music was inspired by the hippies who use to get AFU and "rap" with each other (hey man, wanna rap?). Reference the song by the Jaggers called "The Rapper."

  • @vbdenny Yep, I think you're right, considering "The Rapper" came out in '69 or '70. But, I believe "Wolf Creek Pass" still pre-dates rap music as we know it.

  • This is some flat land video NOT Wolf Creek Pass !!!

  • @gblackpe Flatland? naw now way. I was over 3000'

  • @vbdenny OVER 3000' !?!?!?!?!?! WHAT ARE YOU HIGH!?!?!????? oh I forgot NOT IN VIRGINIA!!!just for the tally books Wolf Creek Pass, in Colorado Is 10,850' IN CASE numbers aren't your strong point, thats

TEN THOUSAND EIGHT HUNDRED AND FIFTY FEET ABOVE SEA LEVEL!!!!!!! AND IT AIN'T NO DAMN INTERSTATE HIGHWAY!!!

  • @BIG379 not yet. I listened to ole CW when he first came out, still have a couple of his 8 tracks around somewhere. Ah man, I just love this song. I was joking with the 3000' since I know it ain't shit for hills compared to the GD. I was at 39,000' last weekend and it wasn't so bad. Enjoy,

  • Was this a country rap song?

  • @basserase ha, probably was the first. Actually I think this song was made before there even WAS rap music. Can't say for sure because I don't listen to it.

  • @vbdenny Came out way before rap, in 1975 or 1976.

  • To all of you morons that don't like being passed; he didn't cut off anyone, he didn't make anyone slow down. I am sick to death of you pussies in your Subarus that can't drive over 45 miles an hour and think no one else should either. It's just a song, and just a drive.

  • WTF??? Your in a mini van, every trucker out there should give u a swift kick in the ass

  • First, Wolf Creek Pass is 37 miles of 2 and 3 lane roads on US-160 in Colorado.. Even in a 4-wheeler you wouldn't be driving it like this... It is just like they say, cirves, switchbacks up grade, down grade.. In the old days you had to worry about hitting the side of the mountian in the curves with your trailer....

  • THE STUDDUCK LOL, I agree I would have cut ur azz off about 10' before you passed me. Rice burners shit?

  • Wolf Creek Pass is actually in Colorado between South Fork and Pagosa Springs like the song says. NOT in West Virginia.

  • @davidws67 THANK YOU DUDE!!!. i hate when a guy driving a mini van puts a vid thinking he's mister big trucker dude doing wolf creek pass while on the east coast....lord have mercy

  • No offense? But these hills are just foothills when compared to the Rocky Mountains or the Sierra Nevada.

Maybe someday they'll grow up and be mountains... ;)

  • pretty country not like here in south georgia where the sun never shins.

  • first of all this is a trucking song how dare you sully a good profession by comparing it to a corrola you jack ass i would have run over your stupid ass for that kind of driving you ever cut me off like you did that one trucker you better have all your affairs inorder stay off the interstate wanna be toyota dont make a compact truck with 18 speeds or air breaks stick to your calculator dummy

  • Out of curosity- do you suck a lot of dick with those lips? They sure are purdy- WHOOPS!

Sorry, thought I was reviewing your part in the movie "Deliverance" not some petty foolish observation about a guy on a drive with a friend

  • your mom would have your ass if she saw what you wrote man. remember if you cant say nothin nice dont say anything at all

  • @TheStudduck Toyotas and Hondas make good speedbumps for an 18 wheeler! LOL!!! I hate riceburners.

  • oh wow! way off haha vid made it seem higher and that would explain the easy handling. I live at the base of the rockies and my old silverado gets me around the Gila well enough. thanks for the reply

  • The opinions of some ruin the sanctity of others, I'm curious of the rig. Its obviously something mid to full sized, Pick-up maybe?

  • Unbelievable, such a nice landscape, nice driving, and people here are going to talk shit about how safe the motorway is.

  • speed limit is 130 kmh here (but everybody caught at that, most people drive 160 kmh)

i own both bikes, triumph st1050 and bmw r1200gs adventure plus i own also 5series bmw car

  • oh.. and if you get flat tyre on front wheel in high speed you hit oncoming car...

take a look here, i filmed how i paid to police because im silly, motorway is in austria and slovakia there (border crossing) watch?v=7wdaDawYJnc

  • dangerous road, no prevention in the middle, this could not be called a motorway in europe

  • You stupid fuck, you need to quit moving the fucking camera

  • Actually it is Mt. Mitchell in North Carolina at 6,684 feet. But Mt Washington is much tougher to climb including 200 mph winds near the top. Mt. Marcy is almost 5,400 feet. But that looks like a nice ride.

  • That is nowhere near 14,000 feet at all. The tallest point on the east coast is what 6,500 feet at best?

  • Yes this is a great song, the point of the video other than showin that woopty doo u can speed along and pass everyone and think its cool to write on the video stupid obvious shit?

  • That's some beautiful country down there. I wish I could see it all, thanx for posting take care friend.

  • its ok wolf is wrong any way wolf creek pass isnt anywhere around u.s 50 it is on 160 so he doesnt know any way

  • I appreciate the posting. Wouldn't happen to have Want Ads to post would you? That was a good one.

  • I think this is awesome!

  • Uh, yeah. It's C.W. McCall on YouTube, not 60 Minutes. Get over it, people.

  • as far as i know he never said this was wolf creek pass.people need to read what their watching so they dont look like a bunch of tards

  • U.S. 50 is a two lane road over Wolf Creek Pass in CO not a 4 lane you such a Dumb Ass

  • Yup, wolf creek pass is in Colorado. If youre in something heavy enough you dont want to touch the brakes or youll burn em up. Best way to slow down is to downshift or go to 2 or 1 if your in an automatic. Let your engine slow you down.

  • haha this isnt even wolf creek pass... nice try though.

  • you idiots im a driver wolf creek pass is in colorado try it in a 18 wheeler

  • COOL VIDEO!! I know this part ot I-64 quite well and love the song. Thanks for bringing back good memories.

  • is wolf creek pass a real place?im from new zealand and heard this about 30 years ago

  • yes wolf creek pass is a real pass in Colorado, I live near it, its a little 2 lane highway.

  • Been up and down that mountain quite a few times

  • Lol i love this song, I new all the words at about 10 years old, my dad laughed has ass off when i used to sing it with him in the truck

  • This song was on the "A" side of my first 45rpm record. And I still know all the words by heart! :-)

  • The real kicker is when you learn it on an 8-track. Certain songs I still listen for a big "K-chung" as the 8-track switches tracks. I look for the same thing on certain Beach Boys, and Gordon Lightfoot songs. God I wish I was of driving age in the 70's.

  • Good scenery and good song!

  • Beautiful scenery!

  • I have never left the East Coast but have always been into cars and am planning a trip out west to bring back a 455 1971 Oldsmobile Vista Cruiser; I sure hope that I can do Wolf Creek Pass on that return trip; I intend to see as much of the USA as I can

  • I prefer the drive this song is referring to.

  • Beautiful day for driving.

  • holy shit!! I wanna be there!!! :( nice video ;)

  • SWEET VID, Thanks, JBR.

  • Wolf Creek Pass stands 14000+ feet at the summit and is 15 miles west of South Fork Colorado when you reach the top you go through a snow shed and come out into a instant 90% turn that starts the wind down. As you pass the overlook you do about a 120% turn on a 9% grade for 3/4 a mile that comes out at Treasure Falls with a nother 120% turn into Pagosa Springs Colorado 8 miles away

  • not quite 14,000 feet elevation at the summit but close enough...

  • thats just like 5 mins away from my home. lol On top of Afton Mt. Awesome! Next time take that video going up Reeds gap road!

  • Nice country, be a good place for a weekend Harley ride :)

  • NO NO NO NO RICE ROCKETS!! Get yo'self a Mack.

  • no no no no a mack get a real mans truck dont get no feather duster get a 379 peterbuilt ...

but im only a 14 year old kid what do i know

  • acutally if you wanna do it right get your self a 1948 peterbilt with the old tan cummings 250hp a 6 speed trans and a 3 speed auxillary with a high low rang splitter.

oh yea you gotta make sure that the pete dont have steer axle breaks and vacume drive axle breaks.

atleast thats what kind of truck he's talking about. a PETE 280 or 288

  • Somehow CW McCall music in a Toyota seems very, very wrong.

  • Nice drive! You should have tried the actual Wolf Creek Pass he's talking about before they improved it. (It does exist, southern Colorado) *Shudders* You would probably want to try it in something bigger than a 1.8L however. That was one scary road. Nice vid

  • I have been there before because I used to live at Afton.

  • ♪Almost heaven,West Virginia,Blue Ridge Moutains,Shenandoa River,,,

    by John Denver

    "Blue Ridge Moutains" is there!!

I used to have listened the music in '70ys.

I want to go there someday.

    from Japan

  • Love those mountains! The record "Wolf Creek Pass" goes well with the scenery and the drive.
