just one thing about the link, you can just put on white legs and paint the bottom brown and the top were the hump is, paint that green. You dont have to do that but it will make your link look like link (and better)

How do you know a black lightsaber (white core with a black outer glow) would look like a smudge? Did you try it on After Effects or was it a random guess?

It was a copy of my cousins one, but if you were to buy it in a shop it would cost about £800 (about $1600). It's the newest version, it will go down quite a bit when the next edition comes out :)

For the lightning you might want to branch it more. I have adobe premiere elements 3 and 4 and there is a setting on the lightning effect for branching, I used it in my "Episode 3 confronting the chancellor" if you want to see what it looks like.
