To curb that awful taste (Absinthe ranges from being like 110-140 proof based on brand) use HALF an ounce of Absinthe or just use a splash on top before mixing. The shits harsh but I never thought to mix it with melon liquor. I imagine the Aniseed flavorings are harsh and have only seen it mixed with sugar water.

@FilmWolf11 Go to a store. They sell it in PA and we're on liquor lockdown in this state. Absinthe's not illegal if made by a legit company with the proper recipe. In Europe in homemade versions it can be toxic though. Absinthe is made from wormwood and wormwood has something in it called thujone, too much thujone and it pretty much can kill you if you have too much of it. The old recipes also included methyl alcohol too, which is also toxic. I recommend Versinthe($55), or St.George Verte($75).
