BUT, your not actually replacing the songs on the original disk, ur actually replacing the songs and burning, and copying all the content and ur songs onto a DVD-R disk so its like your making a new Guitar hero game there's a vid that explains it, if uve already seen it, sry for re-teaching what you already know

Got my DVD-Rs today. It worked...perfectly. I used the GH2 swap method with a slim PS2 and use the blocked sensors thing. Im too lazy to change the songs names though xD. I used Nero 8 to burn the iso but nero calls an iso "Image Files" xD

just open up apache 3 with winzip or anything and extract the files to your desktop, then open up the file and open up Apache(application) and when the download update comes up, close out of it and press OK on the information popup.

wow.....if u ppl dont want to do this, u are doing the right thing. cause here are some tips of not to do this....

1) modding ur ps2 will mess up ur system because after a year or so...the mod chip inside ur system will get fried and u will not play on ur ps2

When i put guitar hero 2 in my ps2 and then disc swap, i go to play songs or even go to the song list or anywhere, its just realy slow and when im playing songs, it keeps stopping and waiting like, 10 seconds then it will play a little bit like normal, then it will stop for another 10 seconds..and even though the songs are in sync they will go out of sync on the custom disc sometimes..

i just need help. it freezes alot

What brand DVD did you use? Low quality DVD's will not be read well by your playstation. That's why this is in the description:

retry inserting the disk. depending on what kind of computer you have, the computer should give some sort of a signal that it is reading the CD. dont interrupt the process of it reading it.
