It sounds like being in a creepy, underground mansion, then at the part where the girl coughs, you see Satori, then you don't! To me, it sounds pretty suspenseful and creepy.

true, i guess i'm just assuming that tapping into the danmaku that the partners used on the character in the past could have then resided in the darker side of their hearts, since now they are aiding the players.

Well almost all of Reisen's spellcards involve bullets disappearing, blurred into the background, and comes back in animation, but well, that's called lunar insanity.
