  • Glad to hear the snaggers got fined. I live in Northern Indiana and we have great Salmon and Steelhead runs here and I hate seeing people snag fishing. I have legally caught many Salmon on in-line spinners and spawn sacks. They bite if you offer the right presentation.

  • wow ppl r so jelly. u mad bro? lol

  • ew... american fishing....

  • @ZedBazinga ?????

  • YOU GUYS ARE FUCKIN WACK.

  • @pizzlerman You must have not seen the whole video...

  • There not snagging, in that shallow of water to snag them would be very easy to do. For the idiot fishermen who think they will bite, only about 10% of them do and its a reaction bite. I could careless if people did snag these damn stinky things, because they go up and all die, and turn into sturgen and catfish food.

  • @Jackdaniels3333 You must not run skein under a bobber then because 98% of them are hook in the mouth. And, what is wrong with them dying and becoming other fish food. That makes for a very healthy fishery. If you ask me, it should be illegal not to throw the carcasses back in the river.

  • @stelmon21 i use thunder sticks; however, were i live there is plenty of food for catfish i catch a ton of them to eat. If you ask the alaskan guides they will say the same 10% in alaska in the rivers are biters. The rest go for one purpose spawning. I would like to try the skein and bobber though to see how productive it is. I live in michigan btw.

  • @Jackdaniels3333 What about the millions of little salmon, trout, and steelhead that eat there flesh. What about the big trout that gorge them selves on eggs and flesh. Where these fish spawn, very few catfish are. I was an Alaskan guide and caught many salmon legally and none of them were flossed or snagged. Alaska relies on on fish spawning unlike Michigan. Once you run skein and bobber then tell me that salmon don't bite...period. Only arrogant people need to snag salmon.

  • to all the guys saying learn to really fish and stop snagging and BLAH BLAH BLAH, this is NOT snagging hese floating skien - a actual fishing technique.. i live within walking distance of a great lakes trib, and fish this way all the time. its 100% legal! and it actually does take skill... this fish do bite in the rivers when they are spawning, its a considered a reaction bite or territory bite, but its the same god damn bite that flyfisherman get!!!

  • putting a Salmon egg in front of where they run is dumb. the fish did not jump for your lure, it jumped to try to actually spawn and not get snagged by ignorant fisherman like you. i suggest you take a fishing class and learn some ethics.

  • @SaltmanAdventures you must of not read the information about this video or seen the whole video.

  • fish a real river....learn how to fish because your a SNAGGER

  • @DrY23FliES Another un-educated comment...

  • i dont understand why you guys would do this. if you have thousands of miles of river teemed with salmon then why go to just one spot and ruin every one elses fun

  • @73SBR We are not ruining anybodies fun

  • This is no more fishing than shooting a stag when its already down. Really poor.

  • oscenooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!

  • In New Zealand scratchers like these would get destroyed by local fisherman and then prosecuted.

  • @dwarflord09 They get shredded hear as well

  • Muppet's !!!!! That's not fishing !!!!

  • ppl are so fucking dumb

  • Why on earth would you try to tamper with salmon on their migratory run to their spawning grounds obviously these guys in this film take 3 hours to watch 60 minutes. I am sick of people trying to be heroes like that.

  • @AUSTRALISFISHING ??????????what????????????

  • @stelmon21 and salmon do not bite when they are running upstream to spawn........and you probley snagged over 75% of those fish

  • @DrY23FliES This comment cracks me up. It's a proven fact that salmon do bite. Don't make a comment if your not educated...

  • @AUSTRALISFISHING there going to die any ways its not like they caught all of them

  • @Catfishhunter2013 doesnt matter if they are going to die anyway, there are legit ways to catch these fish.Snaggers cause all sorts of problems to river systems

  • Sorry. . .didn'tmean to slam Michigan. I was born and lived in Ontario in my youth, and I know that there are some amazing opportunities in the Great Lakes region.

I was just pissed to see these guys snagging fish in this loaction.

  • @deanborg0062 I hear ya! Unfor. we have to live with it. However, us fisherman are starting to turn peoples heads to pursue them legally. Skein under a bobber does wonder fishing for salmon that 'don't" bite.

  • @thomascook146 You claim that 'Michigan has the best freshwater fishing in the world'. . .if so, why would anyone want to fish from the ass-end of a concrete pipe? I have done most of my fishing in beautiful British Columbia, and can say that it ranks high on places you may want to visit on your next fishing trip. Tight lines!

  • @deanborg0062 This spot is not the only place to fish in Michigan. We have over 10,000 miles of beautiful river front to fish that don't come through a pipe. I have fished Alaska, Alberta, Colorado, Utah, ect, and I wouldn't want to live any where else.

  • @deanborg0062 they are only fishing near that pipe because it acts as a funnel for the fish and it is easier to snag them.Snagging has been illegal in MI for over 20 years yet it is still popular.Dont judge the quality of our fishing based on this, the Ausable,Pere Marquette, and Manistee rivers are world famous fisheries.I would like to fish Alaska and BC someday though just because your rivers are differant then ours. Our rivers tend to be smaller, more intimate.

  • What a dump!

  • I actually don't care that these people are essentially shooting fish in a barrel. These king salmon were never found in michigan naturally so their extirpation from the area is of no concern to me.

Now if this were a river in California where the salmon population wasn't doing good, I would care. But nah snag em, do whatever.

  • @ButeoLineatus Well people that fish these fish legit do care. It ruins our fishing so if you see a snagger, call RAP line.

  • i live in michigan and this is a nice place

  • This spot looks cool

  • dam what a bunch of loser

  • where is this in MI?

  • @boogieazn Its a secret spot

  • they should make a law that you have to be so many feet away from a dam or pipe like this

  • @BEAVERTRAPPER46

Why, to ruin the fun for the people trying to get them legit. I highly disagree.

  • @BEAVERTRAPPER46 the fat lazy nez perce indians in idaho get to snag steelhead and salmon and sell them for beer and weed money....FUCK YOU NEE MEE POO PRIARE NIGGERS!!!

  • right off the bat i knew these dudes were idiots...using surf rods! This is just another thing to add to why i HATE people.

  • Pere Marquette, best fishing in october.. people come from all over the country to fish there, best salmon run

  • where at in michigan??? i live in the ultimate great lakes state and ive never seen this place before..... it looks pretty badass....

  • Michigan huh?? thats on my list of places to never fish!! LAMEDICK BASTARDS Try fishing somewhere that there is at least a foot of water!!! keep fishing there and u might catch a brown trout with corn spots EAT UP

  • @MrNinernation That is a shame since we have some amazing fishing here...

  • @MrNinernation ya we have some of the best fishing in the country, and that water is actually very clean,we have resident trout all over

  • @MrNinernation

really..... and where exactly are u from??? and fyi michigan has the greatest freshwater fishing in the world.... when there is no rain is when creeks and rivers get this low.... try again.

  • where exactly is this in michigan?

  • Ok, the end of the video made this better. That was just plain wrong.

  • lol fuckin faggots fishing the bottom of a obstruction with musky rods , pull that spoon outta the tail

  • skeins is how real fisherman get them

  • Hardly fishing. .

  • i am very ,very sorry for tarring all americans with the tar brush as this is by no means true as their are many american fisherman who set great examples all over the net ,,but this type of thing must stop its not fishing in any way,,,, if you ask me or any other person who actually enjoys the sport of salmon fishing ,,try a 13-14 ft rod and a 9-10 weight line and a nicely tied tube fly or something and enjoy your time on the water giving yourself a challenge actually catching a fish legally

  • is that a sewer pipe?

  • I liked the ending definitely.

  • great vid. Props on the legal attitude

  • I like the big belly on the one guy

  • Comment removed

  • The way it looks, they weren't able to snag any themselves so they snitched and went to do some real fishing. But why is it that the fish in the picture looks like the one snagged in the video....?

  • are those sewer trout?

  • Salmon bite flies, streamers, not pieces of sponge!

  • u down country lifter

ripping a size 1 sinker with a size 1 hook with a piece of sponge through salmon infested waters inst fishing....its illegal!

  • i dont see why people are getting so worked up about this i n some places its legal .....................

  • what ever happened to integrity?

  • disgrace you freaking snaggers this is one of the reasons why fewer fish return every year

thanks for ruining it for everybody else

  • FISH KILLERS... lol look at you fags snaggin.. great way to ruin the run throughout the next couple decades.. take yur worms and hooks and go catch all those ASAIN CARP you Americans arent doing shit about.. snag them instead or something.. cant fish right then dont fish at all..if you'd call that fishing

  • I think it is by the wolf lake state fish hatchery

  • thats sweet, but u shouldnt have to snag...

  • americans should be ashamed of themselves ,,,what is it with this combat fishing crap ,their is just no excuse for it at all treat your river well and it will reward you ,,, treat it bad and it will die ,,,,get a grip guys , get some strict rules in place to stop this type of thing ,

  • @urbanflyman36

B.S. to that. My states D.N.R. spends millions a year on clean up, stocking and strickly enforcing laws. I see tons of videos of other countries abusing there water ways just to have fun and act like idiots.

  • @urbanflyman36 Salmon are not NATIVE to Michigan, so doesnt really matter whether they dissapear or not

  • Can you say shooting duck's in a bathtub?
