  • There's a video on Youtube of him doing an EEEEEASY double with 600lbs, raw, he looked to be legitimately able to do that for 5-6 reps, had he went to failure. ....he may be able to do 7-8 with 585 :D

    Powerlifters rely on tricep muscles. Tricep is way stronger tnan pectorials.

    When you tuck your elbows in, you use the triceps, what is opposite to flaring elbows out.

    Wide or close grip... It makes no difference here.

  • I'm sorry man, I'm kinda gonna have to agree with these other gusy on this one (don't hate me). The triceps make up 2/3 of the muscle in the arm, and even Louie Simmons outlined the fact that the pecs are a very weak and fragile muscle. Triceps might not be the strongest, but I do believe that they are quite a bit stronger than the chest.
