@Kolashov Yeah, but if you'll notice, it's because I choose to play mainly with bullets instead of spamming the explosives like everyone else does in the online mode. I could easily go for the cheap kills, but I choose not to, because they take less skill to get. I chose to use my grenades sparingly instead of running around cooking grenades and throwing them at everything.

nice game as usual. Good quality. No surprise though that people are all explosive weapons. Just so many, RPG's, Squad cannons, Heavy machine Guns, Grenade launcher and singl-shot gernade launcher. Not to mention ISA rifle gernade launcher. I may have missed one or two but you get my point.

@nike90danielmissumi2 As far as I know, the North American servers for the game are still up and running. It's been a few months since I last checked, but they should still be up. Just make sure you have 3,000kb free on your memory card, because the game requires you to download a patch.

If you don't currently have a video capture card, hook your PS2 up through a VCR, and record yourself playing.

Then later, when you get a capture card, you can upload your vids. I've done that with a few of my vids in the past.

Depends on who you talk to. For single player, Killzone is a lot better, because BF2 really doesn't have much of a single player. For MP, I prefer Battlefield, but not everyone does.

The other Killzone players kinda ruin the experience by being explosives whores. All they do is run around blowing others up, and it's really not that fun. However, I enjoy the gunplay in bullet-only matches.

Nope. You can zoom in, but not to your gun's iron sights.

KZ2 zooms into the sights from what I've seen though, but the original does not.

I don't think that the PS2's online service took off that well in Europe, and I'm not sure what if any games Europeans still play.

You do need the online startup disk yes. However, fear not, because there are quite a few PS2 online games that have the disk built into them Killzone 1, however, is not one of those games.

Try looking through your collection for any other PS2 online games you may have and check those disks to see if they have the startup utility on them.

Is your PS3 backwards compatible? If so, you need to setup a PS2 network connection. I'm not sure if there's anything on PSN that allows you to set it up or not (try looking to see if the have the online startup utility on PSN).

If not, then you need the PS2's online startup disk of a game that has the startup utility built into it.

Unfortunately, Killzone doesn't have the startup utility on the dissk, but I've found a number of PS2 games that do.

You need the PS2's Online Startup Disk in order to setup your PS2's online connection.

There a some games that have i built in, so you don't have to buy the disk, but Killzone isn't one of them.

The online is still up for this game. I'm not sure if this game has the startup disk built in, but there are a number of PS2 online games that do.

Also, for this game, you'll need 3000 blocks cleared on your memory card, to download an update for the game before you can take it online.

The startup disk just configures your connection setting and saves them to your memory card.

Before logging on to any online game it will ask you to load your network settings from the memory card. You only have to use the startup disk once, and you can use those saved setting to connect to all of your online games.
