Actually, throwing your weight back presses your heels down causing your bow to drop & plug whatever you're boofing. Also, throwing your weight back puts your body out of position to take the landing stroke. Instead of throwing your weight back & stroking from the hips, maintain an upright or even slightly forward position that allows you to reach forward and take a full stroke. Good timing of a forward stroke & lifting the knees is what elevates the bow and allows the boat to carry the feature.

I wouldnt neccessarily say throw your weight back as you say @ 0:56.
Its more like driving your hips forward as your pull the stroke off the lip.
