  • I was playing along with one hand till :32 :( Also Nice Job if I haven't said it in my previous comment.

  • @DavidAlvarezMusic I suppose I should get off my lazy butt and record a tutorial for this song. Lol

  • Reads description, looks at date it was posted...looks at mine, nope sorry, before you by 3 years....just kidding, nice job, my list of songs I want to learn by the end of the month just got bigger xD.

  • Very well done!

  • @captainsonic Thanks! ( :

  • Please make a tutorial! I also used to beat the game just to hear the the end them. Thanks for this!

  • Yea, I really need to. I'm glad you liked it. ( :

  • On later years, I just play the game to hear Rocket Ship Ride, because I love the music and this was totaly amazing. I really appreciate you hard work to make it sound just like it ♥

  • Awww, thanks for your kind words. ( : I only ever beat the game once, and it was one of the happiest moments I had ever had with my old game boy. Then I discovered the Gameboy Camera. ^_^

  • the intro sounds like the overworld theme... i think you mixed it up a bit

but the rest, damn! I honestly got goosebumps, excellent!

  • The intro to this song is played each time you defeat a boss and try to rescue the princess, but find out "the princess is in another castle." This melody was also used for the first level of the game, but that version had more energy and a faster tempo. Good catch, though. ( : I'm glad you enjoyed this.

  • This rendition is incredible. I must have listened to it at least a couple dozen times thus far. Did you ever think of submitting this piece to OCRemix.org?

  • Doesn't OCR only accept techno remixes? Also, thanks for your kind words. I'm glad you like it. ( :

  • @ryukenosuke No. They accept any sort of instrumentation. Anything from guitar to orchestral, or piano to techno. It runs the gamete. Take a look at their site and submission guidelines to see if you would be interested. :)

  • Hmmm, I might have to look into that. If I did, though, I'd have to get a better recording than this. ^_^ Perhaps I'll key it out on Reason or something.

  • @ryukenosuke OCR accepts all kinds of music, you should try it or at least distribute an mp3:O

  • i wanna have a tutoriaaal!!

Awesome job dude.. :) love this song haha

  • Yea, I do need to make a tut for this. Eventually, I'm sure I'll get around to it. Lol

  • @ryukenosuke do one, I subscribed just for that video :3 ( Sounds lame, but was at least honest )

  • Hahaha, I suppose I should get on that soon, then. ^_^

  • its called the oh daisy theme but good

  • The "oh daisy" theme is the song played after each dungeon, but you find out the princess is in another castle. "Rocket Ship Ride" is the ending theme to the game.

  • i would play the whole game just to be able to listen to the song in the end. Ive been trying to play it by ear on the piano. but the whole transcribing electrical sound to acoustic sound is difficult for me.

  • Eventually, I plan to make a tutorial video for this song, so if you can wait, you could just learn it that way. ^_^

  • Lovely interpretation!

  • Thanks! ( :

  • I literally listen to this every day. I am still working on playing it and when I can I hope I play it as good as you do.

Brings back so many good memories that it the song plays over and over again in my head and I don't think I'd ever get tired. Truly a master piece of triumph and that feeling you get when you've finally reach the end of an ordeal and look back remembering everything as an epic journey. Perhaps I am just too into this song but it's amazing and you do it great justice.

  • Very kind words. I'm glad you enjoy it so much. I, too, listened to this for weeks on repeat after I recorded it. Lol. It's truly an uplifting and inspiring song. Thanks for watching, friend. ( :

  • Wow... this is one of the most beautifullest songs I have ever heard. Well done, you deserve it.

  • ^_^

    Thanks. Hehe

  • Sweet Jesus, This is amazing, Brings back childhood memories.

  • Hehehe, I'm glad you liked it. That game was so ridiculously addictive...and painfully cruel by not letting us save our progress. God forbid we didn't have enough batteries or the power pack for it.

  • Somewhere in the Mushroom Kingdom...

Mario heard this in his head and starts shedding tears... he doesn't know why...

  • *thumbs up*

    ( :

  • Awesome! So beautifull!

  • I'm glad you enjoyed this. Thanks for watching. ( :

  • Superb. Very beautiful. :J

  • I'm glad you liked it. ( :

  • This is so cool. I couldn't begin to count the times I spent the better part of an hour playing out the game just to hear this tune. Without a doubt my favorite game music ever.

Also, kudos on your rendition. Shame about the bad mic, though...

  • Due to the audio quality, I may end up re-recording this. ^_^

  • The Princess Daisy theme was sooo cute!

  • Hahaha, I agree! That's why I had to learn it. It's fun to randomly play when you go to the local music store, and catch the ears of random people as they walk by. ^_^

  • @ryukenosuke Yuppers. :)

  • @ryukenosuke Yuppers. :)

  • nice! i can play this song as well as Oh, Daisy, you played first. But, i gotta say, your arrangement is pretty damm cool!

  • Thanks for watching! ( :

I've been worried that no one would watch this video as this game isn't all that well known to "new" generation of kids and such. I'm glad you liked it.

  • Very nice. But the only downside is that the micro isn't very good so when the sound is loud it sounds bad.

  • Yea, unfortunately, I forgot to edit the audio before applying it to the video. I might re-do it.

  • Hahahaha, really? Mario songs slip in and out of my head on a regular basis. ^_^

  • I have a question. How long have you been playing piano, and from the point that you started playing piano, how long did it take you to pick it up by ear? Also, is it possible for you listen to a song that you never heard before, and while listening to it can you play it on the piano?

  • I got my first keyboard when I was in kindergarten or 1st grade. I've never taken lessons, so I have been learning songs by ear since the beginning. If I hear a song once, if it is catchy enough for me to start humming it, I can sit down at a piano and start matching notes while I hum it. On occasion, a song is predictable enough that I can start playing along with it while I'm still listening to it for the first time. Most of the songs I play, though, I've practiced for days.

  • YAY MOAR PIANO SKILLZ VIDEOS.

  • Now to decide what to learn next. Hehehe

  • @ryukenosuke How about my age old request, the Song Of Time? :P

  • If I'm not mistaken, the Song of Time is in my Zelda songs video.

  • @ryukenosuke Alright,how about do Guile's theme from SF2? :D

  • The youtube user Sandkopf has already done that song, and done it quite well. You should check it out.

  • @ryukenosuke Probably not as epic and awesome as you could do it >:D

  • Hahaha, to be honest, I don't think I could do it as well as he.

  • awesom3 y0u r0c7!

  • Good stuff man, keep up the good music!

  • I'm glad you like it. I certainly hope to keep playing fun songs for the youtube community.

  • *APPLAUSE* !!! Just awesome!!!

  • Not nearly as awesome as some of those high speed vid clips you have, though. ^_^

  • omg!

This is such a great song!

    well played!!

    >_<)b

  • I agree! I love this song. Thanks for the compliment. ( :
