Does this charger have a discharger so it could actually discharge the two healthy cells with higher voltage upto the level of the voltage of the bad cell so then it could start start charging on a balanced state? If it does not have it what hyperion charger model does that? Thanks!

ok, can i charge 2 2 cell lipo packs(total 4 cells) at the same time? and i also have some lipo packs thet just have the jst connector on them and no balance leads, can i charge these also?

@lipomine Ok heres what the charger is rated for,lipo:1s-6s(3.7-22.2v ,life po4:1s-6s(3.3-19.8v) nicd/nimh:1-14 cells lead acid:1-6 cells.Hopefully this info will help you out.

i have this charger and a 11.1v 20c 3200 mAh 3-cell battery :1/10 vehicle. how do i use the chager to charger this battery.

@RCarfans Easy,just follow what the manuel tells you,press the battery type button,till the screen says lipo,press enter,put in the proper mah for youre battery(3200 MAH) IT will increase by 50 every time you press the inc button do this till it reaches youre 3200 then press enter.Then you will have to do the same for youre cell count, in youre case (3s). hopefully this will help u out.oh and charge at a 1c rate which is 3.2 amps.

I have hyperion 850mah batteries for my trex 250 with a max charge rate of 5 amps, I wouldn't charge that high but is there a way to increase the charge rate to 3 or 4 amps?

If you select Li-Po charge mode and hook up the balancer while charging it does a balance charge.

Great video - I've had this charger for awhile and actually learned something new (charging the individual cell separately) - Also, I always wondered why I needed BOTH connectors when other chargers simply charge through the lead - you even answered that question! Great video, and thanks!

Hi, If I put a "half-empty" lipo (say 400 of a 800mah battery) in to charge and set it to 800mah, won't it overcharge? or will it realise the battery is charged and stop? thanks.

I really like this charger but the instructions are a little vague. This unit provides a lot of information data and which is very useful in determining max charge rates, peaks and capacities. the manual does not provide any guidance regarding how many mA needed to optimum charge and condition batteries. No cautions or guidance warning of excessive charge currents.

What does the Voltage rating on the main screen mean while charging? I can't find that in the manual.

Simple the voltage on the screen while your charging is the packs current voltage. Simply watch it while you charge and it will go up.

Follow the battery makers charging recommendations. I cannt comment n other brands. But you don't have to dis charge Li-Po's.A normal charge rate for most Li-Po's is 1C or 5 amps for 5000 mAh pack.

You have to set the pack capacity in mAh once that is done the charger will set the charge rate to match that pack so if you have a 2100 mAh pack the charger will set to 2.1 amps.

I just got some 2200mah 7.4 2C lipos, and this charger. Should I just set them up and charger them, or do i need to discharge first?... Will it auto off once the battery is full?

Li-Po's don't need to be discharged. Set the charger for 2200 and start it will sound an alarm when it finishes the charge.

@Bornindafire remember,always to be safe,charge at a 1c rate so having said this,divide 5000 by 1000=5 so in youre case 5amp or even if you want 4 amp is also good it will take a little longer.

DON"T USE THE AC POWER AND A DC POWER SOURCE AT THE SAME TIME!!!!!! Only use one or the other. It's not meant to use both power sources at once, you will wreck the charger!!!! Warranty will not cover damage from using both power sources.

Sorry for confusion, of course, I was talking about sources of power for charging on the accu side (banana plugs + balancer). Nevertheless I have another question for You : when using AC power plug, is it dangerous if the two tongs (for DC use) touch together ?

No Nothing will happen if the two DC Clamps touch. If there was an issue with them Hyperion would have provided covers for them so they could not come in contact which each other.

hey, do you need to get leads for all ur batteries? I have a TP adapter I have a thunder power battery 6S 5000MAH 22.2v has a deans lead, do I need a male lead for the battery? a lead that goes from the charger to the battery? so for all my lipo's like I have one with a traxxas connector will will need a male traxxas harness? and another balance adapter that that battery fits on? I have 2S on my adapto but the lead is smaller on the battery i dont wanna just plug it in. im a nooby to this. thx
