  • oh man dude. I feel you. I am christian but I got kicked out of a Christian school because Im not perfect. I'm here for ya man

  • It's so cool when a straight guy stands up against homophobia. I think you're on the right track for many of your ideas. Good luck with everything.

  • I like how you went straight to the god delusion lol.

  • Not All Christians Put down Other People , Just Saying :)

  • @fhottie01 is jesus the only way the truth the light and all other philosophies deserve eternal torture?

  • If There Is No God, How Did We All Get Here? Thin Air? You're A Cool Guy, And I Like You ( As A Friend ) But I Will Pray For You. I'm A Christian, But Not A Really HARD Christian. I Might Not Go To Church, Because Of The Judgemental People There. God Loves Us All. I'm Not Trying To Judge You. Just Stating My Opinion. Thanks For Talking And Making This Video

    :)

  • @fhottie01 Yes we basically came here from thin air ( outer space ) because of the big bang theory and guess what according to scientist there are atleast 7 other planet in 1 thousand other galaxies of planets just like ours so um may I say in your mouth to that dumb logic of yours

  • @DJTinez13 Dude stop acting like an Ass your making Atheists look stupid.

  • @FunAssFunProductions i was sarcstic in the beginning smart ass but there are many other planets (without life) that are placed a lot like ours

  • @DJTinez13 All right your still acting like an ass.

  • @FunAssFunProductions well he was acting like an ass to and i just shoved his dumb "logic" in his face

  • @fhottie01 Humans evolved from earlier life forms.

  • @fhottie01 So since you don't understand something you automatically say "OH GOD DID IT!" Saying words while holding your hands together isn't going to do anything. Also we have evidence of where we came from. Stars are made from the exact things that makes humans.

  • THE EXTRAORDINARILY SUPREMELY INTELLIGENTLY DESIGNED UNIVERSE REQUIRES AN EXTRAORDINARILY SUPREMELY INTELLIGENT DESIGNER. Come on over to my daily IS ATHEISM LOGICAL? You Tube video forum for a chat some time seven days a week.

  • Your cute.

  • I saw one of his videos I think it was re:islam is. anyway I expected some christian ripe for trolling. Instead I found an intelligent person who isnt afraid to express his opinion.much love bro.

  • mmm day-um. someone's tasty.

  • i like you better without the hat <3 Yourree soo adorablee ;D MMFWCL ! whoop whoop !

  • well you shouldn't have just turned down a religion because of a few "christians" as they want to call themselves. everyone believes in something. you just asked the wrong people. its better to ask someone you can respect thats also a christian. people who like force their religion on them aren't christians at all. but im still a little confused. do you believe in a God who is not involved in human affairs or just dont believe in anything?

  • There is no "truth" in any religion. There is TRUTH in spirituality. Because humans do seem to have a strong spiritual self, man has created thousands of concepts, ideas and ways to tap into that spirituality for their own gain. All religions have an agenda, and within that agenda, the individuals have their own agendas. The god of the Christian bible goes from a vicious tyrant to a loving daddy and back again. Everyone has to find their own "god"!

  • Gongrats, you freed your mind from thinking about god and praying/going to church and instead of "god did it" you can answer "I don't know(yet)".

Now instead of a theistic "hobby" you have more time to think other thoughts and pick up football or something. :D

  • You became an Atheist because of Satan & your weak mind!!!!!!

  • @justlooking565 You know beliving in God is almost like escaping from a tougher reality. It's honestly harder to be atheist then belive in God because in a way to atheists, were all cursed. Were brought to life but yet we have to see our selves age and we know that one day we will die. If you belive in God you can say "Oh it's ok I'll go to heaven."

Also I'm gona hope you were joking. :3

  • glad to hear you've gotten out. im also an atheist, former lifelong CSer, prin college alum. i've really enjoyed watching christopher hitchens debates for some unwavering reason and reality based arguments against religion

  • @bbjiggs Wow, I'll say it's really cool to meet other former CS people since CS is, now, so small and if you are/were one you're bound to have ties to alot of them. My experience at the high school was a very negative one, as you can tell. The religion I once loved became a lie as I opened up to reality.

  • ATHIEST FAGGOT

  • So You Dont Beleive in Love or anything ??

  • @ORiSSA101

Love is an abstract concept that is needed in order for ppl to survive in this

world. Of course he beleives in Love...he has a girlfriend that he doesn't want to force sex upon. Watch his others vids.

  • God condemns non believers, I hope you don't make the rapture, but your well on your way!!! --stop doing satan's will, because this is all your doing. If you need any explanations to understand the Heavenly Father that I believe in, I would be more than willing to help you.! From a young 18 believer, baptised and filled with the Holy Ghost, which is God's spirit that helps me to speak in his heavenly language. It is really a heartacke to see such things like this.! I'll pray for you!

  • @nymorie

What about the non believers who are the most l oving and compassionete ppl

ever? Do you really think God hates atheists...let alone homosexuals?

  • Comment removed

  • hey just to point it out it takes more faith to be an atheist than it does to belive in Jesus

  • @quadrider971 explain please?

  • @SpikeDawgProductions im mean did the earth just apper? where did the animals come from where did everything, every where come from? it just didnt apperar JESUS MADE ALL OF IT HAPPEN!! now whats your beleif oh and ps. the devil dont give a crap about you as long as he can have you in hell with him he dosent care how you come

  • @quadrider971

Have you heard of the theory of ABIOGENESIS? Granted, I don't fully

understand it, but basically it's the theory that all life on Earth came from nonlife.

I know...that's absurd.....just like the "all life came from God" standpoint as well.

  • @SpikeDawgProductions

Because many Atheists aknowledge the possiblity that

Jesus was a real person. You can accept that Jesus was real, and still be an Atheist. The historical jesus was a person, not supernatural entity.

  • @compsciguy

There is however no reasonable evidence that Jesus ever existed. Yeah sure this guy may of very well existed but once you acknowledge that nothing is really known about Jesus's life in archeology or third party historical references then it really defeats the purpose of even saying he was even real.

So yeah maybe he existed but to worship this guy even if he is real you'd still have to believe for the wrong reasons even if the belief is right.

  • @SpikeDawgProductions I will, in some ways it down to opinion really but... for some people believing a God or some great being made the earth is easeir to belive then it all happened by cowincidence or a big bang. :3

  • @SpikeDawgProductions I believe he doesn't think truth applies to Atheists. What can ya do?

  • @SpikeDawgProductions My friend. If you are a facebook member, go and check out a page called "the story behind christianity" because I'm sure you will find it interesting.

  • @quadrider971 Hey, just to point out, you're full of shit. If you're going to make a ridiculous claim, at least attempt to back it up with something. Anything. You'd still be wrong, though.

  • @quadrider971 Yes please do.

  • @quadrider971 sense... this makes none

  • The bible never said homosexuality is wrong until some homosexuals tried to rape Abrhams son . So it's really no different than saying black men are evil because 1raped a white women. It's just phobia.

  • @jjason55740 lol... Okay, bro.. Whatever you say... You're the expert.. lol..

  • @MissedTheMark I am an expert. I've studied the bible extensively. And what I say it proven fact.

  • @jjason55740 Yeah,, It's evident.. ~~ lol

  • @MissedTheMark I am an expert . I am guided by reason and common sense.

  • @MissedTheMark thanks

  • @jjason55740

Exactly....homophobia in The BiBle deals more with pedophilia than

    love between two consenting adults.

  • @compsciguy no actually it doesn't. The genesis story of Abraham is all about demonizing homosexuals as being rapist who want to rape your children. It's propaganda . The people who wrote the story obviously were bitter about there experiences in Soddom so they created a myth/tradition that would set them apart from that culture much like the Semites created circumcision.

  • SpikeDawgProductions and all of his 200 viewers. If he wants 1 million views he just needs to post a cat video.

  • @AggressiveAtheist Oh, good idea :) I'll try that hahaha

  • well i do beleive in god and i consider myself christian, but honestly i agree with you i get very skeptical about these things. im a christian but i dont beleive everything in the bible. some dude wrote the bible not god himself. nice vid man.

  • Hey, I'm a Christian (not scientist), and I'm not trying to be insulting in anyway, but in defense of Christian Science(which I do not support at all), I think your claim of becoming atheist because of the way you were treated by other Christian Scientist is a fallacious argument. You don't divorce your wife because her family treats you bad. You divorce her because you both disagree on issues. Your only arguments that work are the refuting of the C.S. philosophies and support for secularism.

  • Ah, but I was explaining the experiences that led me towards skepticism, not the argument for/against any religion or lack thereof, I was telling a big part of my journey and what led me to question, not defending atheism in the same breath.

  • Well, your title states, "How I became an Atheist". You explained how you got there. Your whole story of being disgusted by the students and teachers was an argument to justify your beliefs. You said, "but because of these issues (your disgust of their conduct) I came home with a more open mind which made me more skeptical. So eventually, this led me overtime to consider myself an agnostic". That's the end of your arugment. Again, it's fallacious. You need to argue the issues of the God concept.

  • But it's not an argument. I am not arguing for atheism in this video. I'm explaining not the intellectual reasoning but rather what made me look into the god question more skeptically. I was disgusted with certain attitudes and conduct done because of religious beliefs which made me begin to question the beliefs themselves. If you want to know why I don't believe that's a whole other discussion and debate regarding logic and reasoning.

  • But don't you understand? How does intolerance or rudeness, make a person skeptical that God may or may not exist? All I'm asking is why did you become skeptical based upon. What makes me skeptical of something is the issue itself, not where the issue came from. I have an open mind whether people insult me or not. Other people's conduct does not influence my skeptism of another issue. I could say that all Atheists are self-absorbed, but that doesn't make me believe that God is more real.

  • @MissedTheMark

U don't need reasons NOT to do/be something...you need reasons TO do/be something. If events lead one to question a current belief/action/etc. then there should be reinforcing justifications for why it should be continued. If there are not, then one should feel free to abandon it.

The divorce analogy is interesting. Say you no longer wanted to be married to your wife, for whatever reason. Surely you should find reinforcing factors for why u stay married, instead of inertia?

  • @Gidwan Huh?

  • @MissedTheMark

You're saying he should need 'reasons' to stop being a christian scientist. I'm saying, that once a belief is challenged (which I think all beliefs should be) than one needs reasons to go on believing it, rather than the inverse. You're saying we should try to shore up our faith by look for things, I'm saying, those things should not be sought after, they should be at hand. If they're not, is it really worth believing whatever indefensible nonsense you started with?

  • @Gidwan All needs to be challenged, no doubt. In faith, there is things we find and there is things that are evident without searching, because those things that are seen without searching leads us to search to find more. The things that are at hand is the existance of human life, and it's ability to function. Studying the anatomy of the human body alone, can cause one to believe their was an intellegent designer, because it seems highly unlikely the body could grow together the way it did.

  • @MissedTheMark

Stating that the human body needed a designer simply indicates that the speaker lacks the depth of understanding of evolution and abiogenesis necessary to make informed claims. They are relying instead on incredulity.

  • @Gidwan Riiiight ;)

  • @MissedTheMark

Um, so basically you concede that you have no bassi for your position?

  • @Gidwan layman's terms... Talk like a normal person..

  • @MissedTheMark

So you admit that the position or ideas your trying to put forward do not have any basis?

  • @Gidwan Since there has been a delay in conversation, what are you referring to? Explain, what you're asking me?

  • @MissedTheMark lol people do divorve there spouses because of inlaws lol You should stop believing in a god.

  • @jjason55740

What do divorces have to do with God?

  • I stumbled across one of your early vids and thought to myself "give him a few years and this guy will be an atheist". Well seems like it didn't take that long :) Congratulations on being able to question your beliefs and breaking out of your indoctrination.

  • *claps*Brilliant

  • it was hard to fully let go of the faith I was born into [Judaism] in the beginning because the belief was so ingrained in my head. I always think research to find what rights for someone is always the best idea. Glad that you found what is right for you and makes you happy.

  • Well stated. I suspect you may be smart enough to be a scientist. Have you considered that?

  • Well, yes and no, mostly I think I want to do something in the field of psychology.

  • That's cool. I would recommend that you still get the solid basis - physics, chemistry, mathematics (eg calculus), thermodynamics, and of course biology. Fields like that are going to be vastly impacted by all these other advances in the next 20 years but if you get the fundamentals you'll be ok.

  • what did you get molested by your pastor or something? Mr. "I'm so sure god is not real" so does that make you smarter than everyone else? Does not the band you are a fan of (insane clown pose" follow god? I think I heard them say they do on the wraith CD (PWND)

  • No, not necessarily. But I do believe i'm right on the issue of God. And yes, ICP does follow God. Doesn't mean I can't like their music :/

  • REALLY?!?! your "right on the issue of God" you're absolutely sure there is no God. the fact that you denounce any chance there is a higher being is way more drastic than thinking there is a God. how can you, a 16 year old kid, know the answers to life's questions just cause you read an atheist book.

  • I don't denounce the possibility, but the probability. Age means nothing.

  • awesomo400000, the answer is that he thought carefully for himself. Any person who thinks for themselves and is honest with themselves will recognize that their religion and all other religions are just false mythologies.

  • stop acting like you are part of a religion when in reality you are just searching. also how can you say you studied to see if there was a god. you can't do that according to you. you are contradicting yourself.

also; you have to at least discourage homosexual actions at a BOARDING SCHOOL where there are many BOYS living in the SAME building. you can't be gay when guys have roommates and shower together. it doesn't work. you are one confused little boy. i feel sorry for you, honestly i do.

  • for the most part your views are fickle and alien to most kids which makes you stand out and thus not approachable. maybe you are a really nice guy, but your charisma and overall appearance makes it hard for you to have normal friends. possibly the issue at the school was not the school itself but you. maybe next time you take a chance, be willing to change to make the fit. i hope you can figure yourself out because if you can't i honestly dont know how you will function in the current society.

  • i really want to be open to your ideas, but to say that you thought Christian scientists would be "above" everyone else appalls me. the fact that you condemn a religion and the principia based on the fact that you could not fit in socially at a boarding school disgusts me. Maybe you should think about what you said and how you acted at the school rather than blaming normal kids who just like you want to find their way in life.

  • You have said that you now believe that god had not answered your questions. You now believe that you had answered your own questions.

Well, perhaps you need to ask god questions that are much too difficult for you to answer.

Work hard to formulate a very solid question, and ask to see the answer in a vision. Hearing god speak is disconcerting for most people and of course rather occult.

Ask for a vision, many have asked, and I did ask, so I actually know that it can be done...

  • Welcome to the 'community' glad to have you on board!

  • @fractal420 Eh, not that it's a community, but the board I was at, discussion board, could be considered one.

  • i like it better when you talk like a black person

  • @ChildrenOfBodom1324 Actually, one could argue that I am talking like a black person who's well educated, or conversely, prevously i've spoken more like a white person who isn't. Point is, these stereotypes are a joke, and should be seen as no more than such. Now please if you have something to say contribute to the topic at hand.

  • im happy u did made another vid=]

i watch all of them all and i kno exactly how u feel u are one of the smartest ppl on youtube and no one should push an answer on u if u believe somthing different and im with u im so exsepting to everyone MMFWCL

  • @CandyLette1992 Thank you, I really appreciate all your support :) To be honest, I don't mind if someone "pushes" an answer on me if they have proof. I love learning more, and I love hearing different ideas, but the whole "believe this or get out" mentallity is fucked up to say the absolute least. Point is, people should be able to accept others with different perspectives and possibly learn from what they have to say. MMFWCL! :)

  • That's science at it's fullest. (:

    Great story.

  • @Q9R42 Lol, Christian Science is a religion. No science to it.

  • Yea, but i was talking about the fact that you left a way of thinking, even though it wasn't easy.

When you're scientifically inclined, you'll want to know what's true, even if it doesn't feel good.

I'm glad that you found out about all of this actually. We need more athiests.

  • @Q9R42 Ah, I thought it could have meant that too...but yes, accepting things based on logic rather than preference isn't the easiest thing to do, especially with this culture we live in. But I am glad I found this out, and I honestly think it has made my life much better to not be in denial all the time.

  • Well, i'm glad for that (:

  • wow dude thats quite a journey youve gone through. my story is similar except it involves a traumatic death in the family very early in life aswell as other things and eventually after doin reserch on religion i found it all to be a bunch of crap so i then became an atheist at age 14? when i was 16 i got into laveyan satanism and have stuck with that for about 5 years now. if you know anything about it, its basically being an atheist but more selfish. good vid tho MCL

  • @K1ll4Satan666 I have looked into satanism both theistic and atheistic, however I believe very strongly in ideals such as empathy, compassion, and even love, so satanism is definately not for me. MCL.

  • ah. well you could say i hold the same just on my own terms. if you read the satanic bible it talks about free love and theres even a compassion ritual(more widely used for lust) but we dont condemn any of those unless you are speaking of theistic satanism. but i respect your point.

  • It's never been about "proof". Proof doesn't require faith. And if there is no requirement of faith, then everyone is in the same position of knowing.

It can only be deciphered philosophically. It's a certain way of looking at the world, seeing patterns and understanding prophecies.

Also, this notion of hell is a vile theological belief that has terrorized people for centuries.

  • No, it doesn't. But, what i've found, is that faith as a concept is very illogical when dealing with such questions. It's one thing to have faith in one's abilities, that is not illogical, because you truly know they exist. However, a deity you can't "know" they are capable of existence as one can with their abilities. Faith is illogical, and I would rather use the mind that god supposedly gave me. I've looked into philosophical arguments for god and found them quite faulty. huge chunks missing.

  • well i've seen something with my own eyes that proves god/the father in heaven exists but If I told u what I saw u' would either call me a liar or think i'm insane

  • @murdaman702 You may want to read what Richard Dawkins says about personal experiences one has had with God, it's very interesting.

  • I agree. Very well said. Ultimately it's a concept where you must forgo your logical requirement of evidence. The strange part is that outside of that god box, that person might be very logical and have a very strong logic filter. But they don't subject their faith to the same standards.

  • @PurpleHoneyBear Honestly, that's not something I'm willing to do or plan to do.

  • I can't fault you for that. My conviction in leaving my former religion cost me dearly and causes me a great deal of pain.

I couldn't possibly express how devastating it was (and is) to be raised within a monotheistic paradigm and then have that shattered by some experience. One day you have an epiphany, you become disillusioned.

But one of the things I've learned is that they lied to me when they said that I would change and become a bad person if I left.

In reality, I am the same.

  • you better hope u are right homie cause when u die its to late 2 change u'r mind

  • Your god is evil if he would send someone to burn for eternity simply for being wrong about the existence of a being that left very little proof...If there is a god, he should accept that I'm doing my best to be a good person and to understand the world around me, and should justly reward me for it.

  • you keep talking about proof but there is actually lots of proof that people close there mind 2 and refuse to look at...Only god can judge man so i dont know if a person would go to hell if they were wrong about his existence, but tried there best 2 lead a good life...i'd like to think my god wouldn't do that because I know tons of people that are good people n they dont believe like my brother n other members of my family...remember god for gives , and remember man has twisted the bible all up

  • and also in continuance 2 my last comment....u should really study the dead sea scrolls... there are some books in it that the catholic church refused to put in the bible, because it contradicted there laws 1 of the books has a part in it were it basically says that hell is not eternal and that good people r going 2 heaven also..it's something u should look into, I've been, god wants us 2 search 4 the truth, and the bible has a lot of it in it,but its also missing some due to man messing with it

  • christian science isn't christian or scientific, very misleading name.

  • It is christian. It is not scientific.

  • yea sometimes i like to take short breaks from youtube

  • Yeah, my gf took up alot of my time, and school, just didn't make vids idk :/ but yeah, nice to take a break.
