Hey guys, that is not a vein you see. It is a major support muscle of the neck and it is shaped like a big thick band connecting from the base of the skull to the sternum. The two songs going to radio on this album are Heartbreak Warfare and Who Says. Which, Who Says is great song, but in comparison to Heartbreak Warfare it's crap. Not to mention the live version here. It just shows his impeckable talent and unmistakingly sexy arms. :)

i really do like who says, i'm glad he put it on this album. its similar to the old style mayer, and it has a great concept to it. i have to go for either assassin or edge of desire on this album, though. just because i think he actually nailed what he was trying to do on those, which is something newer for him. everyone knows he can nail a song like who says; assassin probably took some effort. from a producing standpoint especially.

I love John and was on MCC2, but I hear some other bands in this song. I'm not saying he's infringed on U2 and Filter but don't your hear the riffs from Jane's Addiction "Classic Girl", Filter's "Take a picture" and U2's "Peace on earth"? I know John is a U2 fan. I don't think it's intentional. The chords are just variations of A and D for the most part which are just about the most common chords in music. It's not surprising if it sounds familiar, but he does make it his own :) He does have a wide variety of influences though.
