Of course you can do that!!! for 1. Sprint OWNS Boost Mobile. 2. Your on boost, but your using Sprint CDMA Voice. Thats why it'll switch on ya when you call someone.

I called boost mobile customer rep and gave them my dec# and they told me that the # was to short and that it has to start with 5816 number or somthing like that which my mogul does not start with. so they told me to call back wen i had the correct number. Can you help please??

Yeah he's help'n out. Howardsforum closed his thread though. I got a w385 went to Boost. Then got the TP2 activated 4 days ago. The ph works but the web doesn't.  It's been a ph F for the last 4days, most everybody has to know what thats like. I'm drop'n boost & stick'n with Verizon.

it works... this is exactly what i did

1 bought a palm centro (it was activated on sprint before)

2 use your existing boost phone to call in and say " i want to do an esn swap"

3 they ask for the dec number (if it is 18 characters long say its a krzr or w385 if its 11 say its a c290)

4 they will ask you what kind of phone it is i said a used krzr

5 he said okay press ##289414#( this will vary )

6 he said to enter my number and msid and bam!! the carrier still says sprint but it works !!!!

Are you trying to use the native browser or boosts browser to access the internet? getting native browser to work is a hassle as you have to convice sprint into refreshing your phone. good luck

so i did exactly what this guy said..i bought a ppc 6700 off craigslist 20min ago..called boost did a esn swap and told them i gotta c290..it worked but it takes 24hrs for it to be complete..so right now i cant make a call on it,but i'll update y'all tomorrow

I am sure he did this....he is not a liar. the only problem is that sometimes the representative won't let you put the phone on your account. I just tried to put a sprint instinct on my unlimited cdma account and she tried it for me but the system wouldn't take it. The rep. said that it will usually take Motorola phones. Thank you for helping me know that it can be done...now I just have to find a phone that will take on their system.

I noticed the portion when you make the call, the network shows SprintPCS

You can change the home screen and what the network says, but that doesnt really validate that your on boost, maybe hold down 1 to goto voicemail and we could hear the difference

yes mine changes back and forth. But it is for a fact a SPRINT PHONE ON A BOOST ACCOUNT.

Please take the time to watch all the videos to see my proof. Ive dialed customer service and etc to prove to you it works. What does holding down voice mail really prove? Not much more. Im not going 2 make a new video at this time just for that. I proved it in other ways such as dialing the number to reach customer care or pay your phone & you heard it say "hello welcome to boost"

yes and no. not all boost use a sim card. boost iden uses a sim card. so you are correct there. but im using boost cdma. which is no sim card.
