I'm not a graphics person, but I disagree with you there. The graphics looked perfect on my TV, and I don't have a flatscreen. The graphics are better looking than Grand Theft Auto.
Regarding the money. . . Yeah, keep in mind that this game was likely made by people who were thinking in terms of yen. As for Travis,well, he isn't meant to be sympathized with. He's meant to be pointed and laughed at.
I agree with the rest of review though; it's not the Wii's answer to Grand Theft Auto, but it's still a very fun game worth the full price for the boss fights alone. If you both systems, get GTA4 for the PS3, but if you only own the Wii, get this instead.

One thing I really liked about the game was the town. It was supose to be empty..."Santa Distroy"...huh? Now as for the missions, I guess your kind of right, but I think this game took more of a realistic (to an extent!!!) approach on making a living on whatever you can do. Now the money...according to the scale (of cutting grass that is) was well worth it. Hell, I'd charge 1K for cutting an acre. Oh...and I wish they would've incorperated the bike in the second game alot more than now.
I don't like open areas with free roam but empty streets, I don't care if the streets is supose to be empty, it looks boring. That's why gta is so fun, you can just run around and messing with people. I know that gta is a totally different game, but this game feels so empty and shallow. Madworld looks funnier, strate beat em up with no half ass free roam

This game looks freakin' amazing. I love the fast-paced action, the cool graphics, and how the enemies die in a Kill Bill fashion with blood spraying everywhere. It's too bad that this game is too mature for the little wiiviewr to play.

This game was amazing, and Desperate Struggle is even better! So anybody who enjoyed this game, do yourself a favor and grab the second NMH, I had so much fun with both games. I'm trying to beat them both on Bitter now, but it's pretty hard...
I rewatched this old review to prep me for the sequel coming out next week and I can't help but notice that the wiiviewer probably doesn't know much about "artsy" games or the fact that Suda 51 (the creator of NMH) is a more "post modern" kind of designer.
Anyways, most of what wiiviewer nitpicked has been fixed for the sequel to help improve the action so if anyone reading this didn't like the first game, you'll be happy to know that the sequel is better.

@WhoToCare no they don't get more difficult, but you are able to unlock more things like concept art and you can buy things you didn't buy before and get more masks you didn't find.

these graphics are some of the wii has to offer. i mean how manny games on the wii have a charaters hair move around when they move. these r great graphics when u compare them to other games on the wii.

I am considering getting this game, this is the third review I am watching but I think the narrator is not being relevant with the parts of this review. "not colourful" "bland environment" "bad graphics" I think I'll be getting my reviews from e4 and gamespot rather. Oh and Zero punctuation lol

You are complaining about every joke the developers made int he game. The town is supposed to be empty to make it feel like hell on earth.
The guy is SUPPOSED to be cocky, it's making fun of that stereotype. Fucking look at his sword and motorcycle, if you don't get the joke form that....

alot of people might like this game but I for one hated this game. It was so boring after doing everything even after starting a new game its boring. So I sold it for 20 bucks. Got happy :D

you do realise the town is supposed to be empty? try looking at the map in the hotel to see the backstories of the buildings,and find that the town is supposed to feel like a hellhole.

From what I understood-and judging by the negative feedback it got, many others-your last comment stated the review sucked and the reviewer wasn't entitled to an opinion because he plays Mario games. Maybe you should think about what you're saying before you say stuff.
My point wasn't that you liked the 360 and that, that was a bad thing-I apologize to any 360 fans if it came out that way-it's that if you don't respect classics like Mario, you're probably just a poser just into "mature" games.

Wait you said this game was too over the top? What about Madworld? NMH2 Is going to be the best game...ever. No more heroes was generally a very good game. What made the game so cool was the characters, they were very realistic, personality wise. The game had a bit of a hard balancing humor and actual story though.
