@MrMick73 You're missing the entire purpose of the cross. Before the foundations of the earth were laid, Jesus knew He was going to die on the cross for all those who believe in Him. It's the most amazing love story ever. I don't blame you for not understanding it. In fact, most people think it's foolishly twisted rather than powerfully loving, so God uses the foolish things of this world to despise the "wise". Only those to whom God chooses to reveal Himself will truly understand His love.

@MrMick73 I don't think it's insane. Jesus said there is no greater love than to lay your own life down for your friends. And that's exactly what He did. Jesus could have easily come down from the cross unharmed, but he willingly died so that we could be reunited with God. You don't know what true love is, and I don't expect you to. This is love: not that we loved God but that He loved us and sent His son to die on the cross to be the propitiation of our sins. I'm still praying for you to see.
@MrMick73 If someone truly has a relationship with Jesus, then yes they are going to heaven. It doesn't matter what sin you have committed or will commit. The blood of Jesus covers all the sins of those who truly believe in Him. There is no evil more powerful than the love of God. Those with fear, such as yourself, are not in the Lord. Fear has to do with punishment, but perfect love casts out all fear. Like I said before, if God doesn't reveal Himself to you, then you can't understand this.
